311 have crossed yet another milestone in their 27-year career. The group’s brand new album MOSAIC–just released via BMG–has debuted at #6 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart which marks the multi-platinum group’s 10th consecutive Top 10 Album on the chart.  Of 311’s 10 charting albums, five have debuted at #6 on the chart or higher.

In support of MOSAIC, 311 are currently in the midst of their extensive headlining tour of North America for the 18th summer in a row. The Unity Tour 2017 features special guests New Politics plus The Skints and Passafire (on select shows). The full tour itinerary is listed below and (here).

“We are incredibly happy to learn that Mosaic was our 10th consecutive Top 10 album,” explains Nick Hexum.  “This achievement is a nod to the loyalty of the 311 fanbase.  We’re very grateful.”

For MOSAIC311 worked with producer John Feldmann (Blink-182, Panic! At The Disco) as well as Scotch Ralston (who produced the group’s iconic TransistorSoundsystem and Stereolithic albums)On the album singer/guitarist NICK HEXUM, guitarist TIM MAHONEY, bassist P-NUT drummer CHAD SEXTON and singer/DJ S.A. MARTINEZ dive into a variety of styles, flexing their collective musical muscle honed from playing together for almost three decades.

MOSAIC features 17 songs. With regards to the current single Too Much To Think,” Nick Hexum states, This song is about the highs and lows of life.  Seeking an escape from the every day stresses of life.”

Other songs include “’Til The City’s On Fire,” a track inspired by the latest production techniques coming out of Jamaica & the EDM scene; the rocking “Perfect Mistake” with an opening rap from S.A. Martinez that sets a fiery tone; “Too Late” highlights some of the heaviest and most dissonant riffs Hexum and Mahoney have ever churned out; and “Places That The Mind Goes,” an achingly beautiful love song that is by no means sweet.

“311 prove they still have incredible momentum on their twelfth album. Mosaic is a surprisingly potent record from 311. It actually may even be their strongest album to dateThis is one of the best and most welcome surprises of 2017.”
