Blackpink’s catchy chorus in “Pink Venom,” where they rap “get ‘em, get ‘em, get ‘em,” could easily refer to their soaring YouTube view counts. Almost three years after its release, the “Pink Venom” music video has hit over one billion views. This makes it Blackpink’s sixth video to reach this impressive milestone, joining the ranks of “DDU-DU DDU-DU,” “Kill This Love,” “BOOMBAYAH,” “AS IF IT’S YOUR LAST,” and “How You Like That.” Solo tracks from members Lisa and Jennie, “Money” and “Solo,” have also crossed the billion mark.
Released as the lead single from their second album, Born Pink, “Pink Venom” peaked at number 22 on the Billboard Hot 100, while the album topped the Billboard 200. The video made waves right from the start, achieving the biggest 24-hour music video debut of 2022 and the third-largest of all time. It broke the record for the most views in a single day by a female artist or group, previously held by their own “How You Like That.”
Directed by Seo Hyun-seung, the video features a blend of traditional and modern visuals, starting with Jisoo playing a geomungo surrounded by a crowd in VR headsets. The choreography, created by Kiel Tuten and Sienna Lalau, is dynamic and engaging. “Pink Venom” won Best Music Video at the 2022 MAMA Awards and Best Choreography at the 2023 MTV VMAs.
In 2025, Blackpink has focused on solo projects, including Lisa’s role in The White Lotus. However, they recently reunited for a new single and video, “Jump.” They just finished the North American leg of their DEADLINE world tour and are now performing in Europe, with plans to wrap up in Hong Kong in January.
