Burger King Adds $2 Halloween Buckets to Menu Starting October 13

Starting October 13, 2025, Burger King will bring back Halloween buckets for just $2 at locations across the U.S. After skipping last year, these fun buckets feature food characters in Halloween costumes. Look out for a chicken fries mummy, a burger in a football helmet, and a chicken nugget witch dancing around the bucket. They’ll be available while supplies last at participating locations.

In 2024, Burger King switched things up with a “The Addams Family” themed menu instead of the buckets. This change came after they sold out of spooky glow-in-the-dark containers paired with ghost pepper items in 2023.

Starting September 16, kids can also collect Scooby-Doo toys with their meals. These toys tie into Halloween episodes and include the main characters and a villain from the show. Burger King moved the bucket release up by three days to kick off the Halloween fun early and compete with other chains.

McDonald’s started the Halloween bucket trend back in 1986 with their first “Boo Buckets.” Kids loved these special containers with Happy Meals, featuring characters like McBoo and McGoblin. Other restaurants are joining in too. Wendy’s has a “Meal of Misfortune” linked to Netflix’s “Wednesday,” and last year, Dunkin’ brought back their Munchkin bucket.

McDonald’s has kept the Halloween bucket tradition alive for 37 years, adding cool features like glow-in-the-dark elements. Fast food chains are tapping into 90s nostalgia, and fans are sharing their excitement on social media, reminiscing about their childhood memories. Get ready for a spooky season filled with fun treats!
