Florence + The Machine has announced their sixth album, titled *Everybody Scream*, set to release on October 31. The title track is available now, along with a music video directed by Autumn de Wilde.
The album will come in several formats, including a special “Chamber” vinyl edition. This edition features four exclusive chamber versions, unique cover art, a 24”x36” poster, and a 16-page booklet. The 2LP version is presented in a triple gatefold and will also be available on CD. Other formats include a standard 2LP, a CD, two cassette options (including a “Bloodwood Edition”), and a digital download.
The title track opens with sparkling synthesizers and layered vocals from Florence Welch. It quickly builds with a driving drum beat and powerful vocal performances. In the song, Welch sings about the struggle of being both extraordinary and normal, expressing deep emotions with lines like, “But how can I leave you when you’re screaming my name?”
Florence wrote and produced the album over the past two years, collaborating with a close group of artists, including Mark Bowen from IDLES, who appears in the video alongside Aaron Dessner and Mitski. After undergoing lifesaving surgery during the Dance Fever Tour, Florence explored themes of healing, womanhood, and the complexities of life in this new work.
*Everybody Scream* follows the success of their 2022 album, *Dance Fever*. Fans can now shop for *Everybody Scream* on vinyl or CD.
