Dave Grohl and the rest of the band shared a new Instagram post urging fans to sign up for their newsletter. The post says, “Foo Fighters Assemble!!! Make sure you’re subscribed to the newsletter for info you won’t want to miss… just sayin’…”
The photo shows a top-down view of the band members’ shoes, with their faces out of the frame. There are six pairs of shoes, which hints that one of them is the new drummer.
Rumor has it that the new drummer is Ilan Rubin, who previously played with Nine Inch Nails. However, the band hasn’t confirmed this yet. The last drummer, Josh Freese, left the band in May and has since rejoined NIN, where he played from 2005 to 2008.
The Foo Fighters are gearing up for a tour in Asia starting in October. These shows will be their first live performances with the new drummer and their first since Grohl’s recent scandal.
