Ghost’s concert in Mexico City on Tuesday night was canceled due to illness. Just before the show was set to start, the band announced on social media, “It is with deep regret that we must inform you the Ghost show tonight, September 23, has been canceled. Tobias Forge is suffering from food poisoning, which makes it impossible for the band to perform.”
This concert was the first of three scheduled shows in Mexico City. The concerts on Wednesday and Thursday are still planned to go ahead. Fans who purchased tickets online will receive automatic refunds.
Some fans expressed frustration in the comments, saying, “There’s nothing wrong with canceling a show, what’s wrong is doing it 10 minutes before it’s supposed to start.” However, many others defended the band, pointing out that food poisoning can happen suddenly.
Ghost is currently on their Skeletour, promoting their #1 album, Skeletá, released in 2024. The tour will wrap up on Thursday. Stay tuned for updates on the upcoming shows!
