Grammys 2026 Winners Include Turnstile, Yungblud, NIN, and The Cure

The winners for the rock, alternative, and metal categories at the 2026 Grammys were revealed during the pre-show Premiere Ceremony on Sunday. Yungblud took home the award for Best Rock Performance for his cover of Black Sabbath’s “Changes,” which he performed at the 2025 Back to the Beginning concert. He accepted the award alongside Sharon Osbourne, the widow of the late Ozzy Osbourne.

Nine Inch Nails won Best Rock Song for “As Alive as You Need Me to Be,” a track they recorded for the movie Tron: Ares. Turnstile made history as the first artist nominated in rock, alternative, and metal categories in the same year. They won Best Rock Album for NEVER ENOUGH and Best Metal Performance for “BIRDS.” Spiritbox also performed their nominated song “Soft Spine” during the ceremony.

The Cure celebrated their first Grammy wins with Best Alternative Music Performance for “Alone” and Best Alternative Music Album for Songs of a Lost World. Unfortunately, the band members could not accept the awards in person as they were attending the funeral of their late bandmate Perry Bamonte, who passed away in December.

Tame Impala also had a great night, winning Best Dance/Electronic Recording for “End of Summer.” It was an exciting evening for music fans, with many talented artists being recognized for their hard work and creativity.
