In the video titled “A personal note before moving forward on the loss of my father,” Jack talks about how he learned of Ozzy’s passing on July 22. This came just over two weeks after Ozzy’s final performance with Black Sabbath at the Back to the Beginning concert on July 5.
Jack expressed that there was a certain beauty in how his father left this world. He noted, “He got to say goodbye in such a profound way. He got to thank his fans, see friends he hadn’t seen in a long time, and perform. There was so much accomplished before the end.”
He also took a moment to thank everyone for their love and support since Ozzy’s death. Jack mentioned that the family will eventually come together to share more details about their experience. However, he emphasized that he wouldn’t discuss the more personal aspects of his father’s passing and funeral without his family’s presence.
