Live Nation Empowers Emerging Artists with Free Venues, Comprehensive Support, and 100% Revenue from Ticket Sales and Merchandise

Live Nation is excited to introduce Next On, a new program designed to support emerging artists in Australia and New Zealand. This initiative provides the access, exposure, and backing they need to advance their careers and connect with new fans.

Next On will take place at Live Nation’s iconic venues across the region, offering stages rent-free. This helps eliminate major obstacles for developing artists, such as venue hire and production costs. Each month, one of Live Nation’s top venues will host a showcase featuring local talent. Artists can set their own ticket prices, keep all their ticket and merchandise sales, and benefit from Live Nation’s extensive marketing and industry connections.

Many artists understand how crucial those early opportunities are. Kate Ceberano, an ARIA Award-winning artist, shared, “My career started in pubs and small venues where Australian music thrives. Those early stages teach you how to connect with an audience and build a fan base. Giving young artists a chance to perform on iconic stages is invaluable. I fully support this initiative.”

Missy Higgins, another ARIA Award-winning artist, added, “When you’re starting out, all you need is a chance to get on stage and connect with fans. Next On provides that opportunity.”

Tim Rogers, also an ARIA Award winner, said, “Taking a chance on new acts makes you a more fulfilled person. Engaging with artists as they begin their journey is special. You’re not just an audience member; you’re part of the community.”

Adelaide’s pop punk duo, Teenage Joans, reflected, “We were lucky to have support in our early days. Live Nation’s On The Road Again program helped us in the US, and Next On brings that same spirit home. It takes the pressure off and gives artists a real chance to grow on stage.”

Rising Australian songwriter Seb Szabo expressed excitement about performing at a venue as iconic as the Palais. Next On is set to make a real difference for new bands and artists looking to make their mark.
