Mumford & Sons are celebrating the 10th anniversary of their third album, *Wilder Mind*, with a special edition release. The album will be available on a limited edition colored vinyl, made from 100% recycled materials in a Blue Eco-Mix colorway. It will be released on August 29 through UMR/Island.
Eco-Mix vinyl is created from leftover materials that can’t be reused, making each disc unique. *Wilder Mind* was originally released on May 4, 2015, as the follow-up to their Grammy-winning album, *Babel*. After years of touring since their debut, *Sigh No More*, the band wanted to try something new. They shifted from their acoustic roots to include electric guitars and synths.
Frontman Marcus Mumford explained, “We felt that doing the same thing again just wasn’t for us. We’ve got a broader taste in music.” Bassist Ted Dwane added, “None of us wanted to make a *Babel 2*. It was always going to be different.”
The band spent time writing and demoing in Brooklyn at the studio of Aaron Dessner from The National. The city inspired songs like “Ditmas” and “Tompkins Square Park.” Other singles from the 12-track album include “Believe,” “The Wolf,” and “Just Smoke.” They recorded *Wilder Mind* at AIR Studios in London with producer James Ford.
The album topped charts in seven countries, including the UK and the US, and is certified platinum. You can now buy *Wilder Mind* on vinyl.
