Music’s 2025 Highlights: In the end, Oasis truly reunited

Oasis surprised everyone by announcing a reunion for August 2024. With almost a year between the announcement and the first show, fans worried that the famously feuding brothers, Liam and Noel Gallagher, might back out. Thankfully, they proved the rumors wrong when they kicked off the tour in the U.K. on July 4.

The tour then moved to the U.S., hitting major venues like Chicago’s Soldier Field, MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles. After that, they headed to Asia, Australia, and South America. The setlist mainly featured hits from their first two albums, 1994’s *Definitely Maybe* and 1995’s *What’s the Story* Morning Glory?

Joining the Gallagher brothers on stage were guitarists Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs and Gem Archer, bassist Andy Bell, and drummer Joe Waronker. Note that Arthurs had to miss some shows for prostate cancer treatment.

Throughout the tour, Oasis released live recordings of fan-favorite songs like “Wonderwall,” “Bring It on Down,” “Cigarettes & Alcohol,” “Little By Little,” and “Slide Away.” They also announced a film about the tour and a photo book.

As for the future, it’s still unclear. Liam hinted at more shows by saying “See you next year” at a concert in London, but later mentioned they need to discuss plans. After wrapping up the tour in November, Oasis released a statement saying, “There will now be a pause for a period of reflection.” Fans are left wondering if the tour will continue beyond 2025, but with Liam and Noel sharing the stage, anything seems possible!
