Rush has announced dates for their Fifty Something tour, and there’s exciting news for fans! Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson revealed that drummer Anika Nilles will join them on stage, taking over for the late Neil Peart, who passed away in 2020.
Since the announcement, Nilles has shared her thoughts with fans on Instagram. She described the response as “quite overwhelming” and expressed her gratitude to Geddy and Alex for trusting her on this new journey with Rush. She also welcomed all the new followers and thanked them for their kind words, saying they mean a lot to her. Nilles added, “We’re all in this together now, and I couldn’t be more excited about what lies ahead.”
The Fifty Something tour will visit seven cities across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Each night, the band will perform two sets, promising fresh material for every show. The tour kicks off on June 7 in Los Angeles and wraps up on September 19 in Cleveland.
