Nine Inch Nails Frontman Discusses Future Touring Plans Following Conclusion of Peel It Back Tour

Trent Reznor cleared up some confusion about Nine Inch Nails’ future plans during their Sacramento show on March 16. After comments made at a previous concert in Tulsa, fans thought the band might be quitting live shows for good. Reznor set the record straight, saying he never meant to imply that.

At the Sacramento show, he explained, “This is the last show of the tour. I think I said something the other day that got misconstrued. What I meant was, this is the last show of this tour, and we don’t have any shows booked or plans to book any shows in the near future. That doesn’t mean we won’t tour again.”

While nothing is scheduled right now, Reznor hinted that things could change. “We may tour again. It won’t be next month or this year. I never said we were intentionally stopping,” he said. He expressed pride in the hard work of the band and crew, adding, “I thank you for coming and attending. It makes us all feel like we have a purpose.”

Reznor also mentioned that writing new music is the priority for the band right now. “What we’re going to do is work on some new music and make some new stuff,” he said. “If we feel inspired and think we can top this show, we’ll see you again. I hope to see you again, and I hope you come see us if we do.”

The Peel It Back Tour wrapped up with the Sacramento performance on March 16. Fans can look forward to new music and potential future shows from Nine Inch Nails.
