Pulp’s ‘Different Class’ Marks 30th Anniversary with Expanded Reissues

Pulp’s iconic album *Different Class*, which won the Mercury Prize in 1995, is set to be reissued on October 24, 2025, through Universal Music Recordings for Island Records. This beloved album will be available as a quadruple LP set and a double CD, featuring the full recording of the band’s legendary 1995 Glastonbury Festival performance for the first time.

After the success of their recent number one album *More* and a celebrated tour across the UK and Ireland, Pulp is having a standout year. Frontman Jarvis Cocker shared that this new edition of *Different Class* will sound even better. He explained, “This 45rpm double album version will enhance the audio quality. We were focused on making a true pop album, and now, 30 years later, it can be heard in all its glory.”

The Glastonbury show in June 1995 was a pivotal moment for Pulp. Cocker recalled, “Three weeks after ‘Common People’ hit No. 2, we filled in for The Stone Roses. We played ‘Sorted For E’s & Wizz’, ‘Mis-Shapes’, and ‘Disco 2000’ for the first time live. This reissue gives fans a chance to relive that historic concert.”

Pulp formed in 1978 and released three albums before finding fame in the mid-1990s with *His ‘n’ Hers* and then *Different Class*. The latter debuted at number one in the UK and produced four Top Ten singles, including the hits “Common People” and “Disco 2000.” To date, the album has sold over 1.4 million copies in the UK alone. The deluxe 4LP edition will come in a sturdy slipcase with a 28-page booklet featuring new interviews with the band.
