Robert Plant and his band Saving Grace, featuring Suzi Dian, recently appeared in NPR’s Tiny Desk concert series. During their set, they performed five songs, starting with the traditional spiritual “Gospel Plough.”
Next, they played three tracks from their new album, Saving Grace: “Higher Rock,” written by Martha Scanlan, “Everybody’s Song,” and Moby Grape’s “It’s a Beautiful Day Today.” They closed the concert with a rendition of the Lead Belly classic “Gallows Pole,” a song famously covered by Led Zeppelin on their 1969 album, Led Zeppelin III.
Currently, Robert Plant and Saving Grace are on a U.S. tour. They will perform in Oakland, California, this Friday, with shows scheduled through Sunday in Valley Center, California. For a full list of tour dates, visit RobertPlant.com.
