Slipknot’s turntablist Sid Wilson has launched a new record label called Vomit Face Records. Wilson describes the label as a space for artists who don’t fit in and don’t want to. “Vomit Face Records is about tearing down the walls,” he says. “It’s for rebels who stand out and celebrate imperfection. It’s where real art is made from the mess in a world that often rewards the fake.”
He believes that real art should be a bit uncomfortable and challenge listeners. “It’s a place for misfits to have a voice and create something new,” he adds.
The first release from Vomit Face Records is a single titled “Take It Back” by rapper Lil Bushwick, who is the son of the late Geto Boys rapper Bushwick Bill. The track features posthumous vocals from his father and was co-produced by Wilson and Limp Bizkit’s DJ Lethal.
In addition to his new label, Wilson is also preparing for his wedding to Kelly Osbourne. He proposed to her backstage during the Back to the Beginning concert in July. Fans are excited to see what’s next for Wilson and his new venture!
