Spinal Tap Releases New Version of ‘Stonehenge’ Featuring Elton John

Spinal Tap has teamed up with Elton John for a new version of their classic song “Stonehenge.” The track was released today through Interscope and is part of their upcoming album, *The End Continues*. This 13-track record serves as the soundtrack for the long-awaited sequel, *Spinal Tap II: The End Continues*, which hits theaters on September 12th. The album features nine new songs and four reimagined favorites, with guest appearances from Paul McCartney, Garth Brooks, and Trisha Yearwood.

The sequel takes place 41 years after the original film, reuniting bandmates David St. Hubbins (Michael McKean), Nigel Tufnel (Christopher Guest), and Derek Smalls (Harry Shearer) for one last concert. Director Rob Reiner returns as Marty Di Bergi, documenting the aging rockers as they face their past and the challenges of growing older, including exploding drummers and backstage chaos.

Since the release of *This Is Spinal Tap*, the band has gone on real tours and collaborated with artists like John Mayer and Cher. The film was added to The Library of Congress in 2002, highlighting its impact on rock music and culture.

“Stonehenge” is a key part of Spinal Tap’s story, featuring a famous mishap where the band orders an 18-foot replica of the monument but receives an 18-inch version instead. This moment has become iconic in pop culture.
