Spring Break and Easter Come Alive at Philadelphia Zoo With New Animals and Family Favorites

Spring has arrived in Philadelphia, and the Philadelphia Zoo is ready to celebrate! As the weather warms up and the gardens bloom, families can enjoy a variety of fun activities and events.

Get ready for Bunny Brunches and Easter Egg Hunts, plus the chance to feed giraffes and meet a new species of penguin. One of the highlights this spring is the Bunny Brunch on March 29 and April 5. Enjoy a festive buffet, take photos with the Easter Bunny, and have a special animal encounter—all included with your Zoo admission. There are four seating times each Sunday, making it a great way to kick off the season.

Families visiting over Easter weekend can join the Easter Egg Hunts on April 3, 4, and 5, perfect for kids ages 2–12. Kids can bring their baskets to collect eggs and hunt for a special golden egg with a prize. No registration is needed, so it’s easy to join in the fun.

From March 28 to April 12, check out the Egg-cellent Egg Search. Explore the Zoo and learn about 10 unique eggs from the animal kingdom. Complete the search for a prize at Guest Services.

This spring also marks the debut of the Philly Zoo Pherris Wheel, a 110-foot ride with amazing views of the Zoo and the city skyline. Animal lovers will be excited to see a new colony of Magellanic penguins and a baby Francois langur. Plus, the Giraffe Experience reopens on March 21 for a special feeding encounter.

With all these activities and more, the Philadelphia Zoo is the place to be this spring! Tickets for events are available now.
