Aerosmith and Yungblud are dropping their new EP, *One More Time*, this Friday. They recently shared an acoustic version of the first single, “My Only Angel,” featuring actor and comedian Steve Martin, who plays banjo on the track.
Steve Martin, known for his role in *Only Murders in the Building*, told ABC Audio that he got the invite to join the song unexpectedly. His agent informed him that Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler wanted to reach out, so Martin asked his agent to share his number.
Martin recalls, “(Tyler) sent me a little sample of it. And the first thing I think of is, can I even play this? I’ve never played rock ‘n’ roll like that.” He sent back a sample to Tyler, and they ended up using it. Despite his initial concerns, Martin is pleased with how it turned out. “I thought it was really good. It was so catchy and rock ‘n’ roll, and his voice is extraordinary,” he said. He even added, “I was impressed with myself.” While Martin’s version of the song won’t be on the EP, you can find it streaming on YouTube.
*One More Time* features five new tracks and marks Aerosmith’s first new music since their 2012 album, *Music From Another Dimension*. Before the EP announcement, Yungblud performed with Tyler and Joe Perry at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards in tribute to Ozzy Osbourne.
To celebrate the release, there will be a two-day pop-up event at Complex LA this Friday and Saturday, featuring exclusive merchandise and more.
