AC/DC guitarist Stevie Young has been hospitalized in Buenos Aires, Argentina, just before the band’s three upcoming shows. According to a statement, Young wasn’t feeling well upon arrival and was admitted to a local hospital for tests.
The 69-year-old guitarist is expected to be ready for the first concert on Monday. The band reassured fans, saying, “Stevie is doing well and is in good spirits. He is looking forward to getting on stage on Monday.”
Stevie Young is the nephew of AC/DC’s founding members, Angus and Malcolm Young. He joined the band in 2014 after Malcolm stepped down due to health issues. Sadly, Malcolm passed away in 2017 from dementia.
AC/DC’s tour will continue with shows in the U.S. starting in July. Fans are hoping for a quick recovery for Stevie so he can rock out with the band!
