The Pixies are hitting the road in 2026 to celebrate 40 years since their formation. They just announced their Pixies 40 — World Tour, which kicks off in May.
Since starting in Boston in 1987, the band has kept their raw sound. Black Francis still delivers powerful vocals, Joey Santiago rocks the guitar, and David Lovering keeps the beat on drums. Emma Richardson adds her thunderous bass to complete the lineup.
Fans can look forward to an exciting journey through their music at these shows. The setlist will feature classic hits like “Where Is My Mind?” and “Here Comes Your Man,” highlighting the band’s lasting impact on music.
The Pixies began their journey with the gritty 1987 release, Come on Pilgrim. After a break from 1993 to 2004, they returned with five new albums. This new era started with Indie Cindy and continued with Head Carrier, Beneath the Eyrie, and Doggerel. Their latest album, The Night the Zombies Came, was released in 2024.
The tour will kick off at the NOS Alive Festival in Lisbon, Portugal, from July 9 to 11, 2026. They’ll take the Heineken Stage alongside other great acts like Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds and Florence + The Machine. The band shared their excitement on social media, saying, “NOS Alive, see you in July!”
The Pixies are a beloved band with a global following, and they continue to shape the music scene. Tickets and show dates are available now, so don’t miss your chance to see them live!
