Trent Reznor has cleared up his comments about Nine Inch Nails’ touring plans. Back in February, during a show in Tulsa, Oklahoma, he told fans, “I don’t know if we’re gonna be touring anymore after this.”
At a recent concert in Sacramento, California, Reznor explained that he was specifically talking about the Peel It Back tour, not the band’s future as a whole. “What I said was, this is the last show of this tour,” he said in a fan-recorded video. “We don’t have any shows booked, and we don’t have any plans to book any shows any time in the future so far.”
He added, “That doesn’t mean we may not tour again; we may tour again. I never said we were intentionally stopping, and I never meant that.”
Reznor also mentioned that new Nine Inch Nails music is on the way. The Sacramento show was the final concert of the Peel It Back tour. The band’s only other upcoming performance is at Coachella in April, where they will share the stage with Boys Noize.
