93.3 WMMR’s Annual MMRBQ Festival ft Godsmack, Bush, Live & More!

Last Saturday 93.3 WMMR in Philadelphia held it’s annual MMRBQ festival just across the Delaware River at the BB&T Pavilion in Camden, NJ. This year’s lineup included Godsmack, Bush, LIVE, The Pretty Reckless, The Struts, Zakk Sabbath , Rival Sons, Dinosaur Pileup and Stolen Rhodes. This was the first time in 7 years that the original members of LIVE have performed together in Philly.  They had only played one other show the night before to prepare for the MMRBQ. You wouldn’t have know that this was only their second show because LIVE sounded every bit as good as they did in the 90’s.

Their were quite a few tributes to the late Chris Cornell by all of the bands but the one by Taylor Momsen of The Pretty Reckless really stood out. (You can see that performance below) The Pretty Reckless was the opening act on tour with Soundgarden in Detroit when Chris Cornell committed suicide and you could stell that Momsen was still visible shaken with what had transpired in the past couple days.  Momsen performed Audioslave’s ‘Like A Stone”  to end their set while trying (but not succeeding) to holdhold back tears. She was consoled by a crew member while walking off stage.  There was definitely an eerie sort of feeling in the venue during the performance.

Check out our photos of the show below!!!
