Rock icon Sir Rod Stewart has announced that he will officially retire from life on the road following one last global trek, titled "The Final Encore," set to launch in 2027 at Dublin's 3Arena.

The two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee shared the emotional news with fans on Monday, closing the chapter on more than 60 years of touring:

"After more than six decades, The Final Encore will most definitely be my last. I’ve been singing the music I love since I was 19 years old, and I’ve had the privilege of taking it around the world to all of you. It has given me a life beyond anything I could ever have imagined, and I hope I’ve given you some fond memories in return. So, may I take this opportunity to thank you for making this extraordinary life possible. I hope you’ll join me so I can thank you the best way I know how … with the music and one hell of a show. See you there."

The retirement announcement comes on the heels of recent health challenges that forced Stewart to cancel the final 11 dates of his U.S. tour last month—including a six-show Las Vegas residency—after undergoing a procedure to place a coronary stent in his heart. Representatives later confirmed doctors were pleased with his recovery as he returned to normal daily activities.

After weeks of cryptic teasers and venue hints, Slipknot has officially announced their massive (sic)est Stadium Tour for summer 2027, locking in a colossal global run across the UK, North America, and South America.

The worldwide trek kicks off on July 3 with a massive exclusive headline date at London’s Wembley Stadium alongside Marilyn Manson and Hatebreed. From there, the band brings the tour to North America starting July 16 at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C., hitting landmark venues including Citi Field, Soldier Field, Fenway Park, Hersheypark Stadium, and SoFi Stadium. Bring Me The Horizon will serve as direct support for the entire North American leg, with a heavyweight rotating lineup of special guests including Acid Bath, Lorna Shore, Lamb of God, Kublai Khan TX, Polyphia, Loathe, Motionless In White, and Vended.
