French metal juggernauts Gojira have announced that founding drummer Mario Duplantier is unable to travel to the United States for the band's upcoming festival appearances due to an immigration issue.

In a heartfelt statement shared on social media, the band revealed that Mario is completely heartbroken and fought hard to find a solution to make the trip. To ensure the shows go on, the group has recruited highly talented Paleface Swiss drummer Luigi Paraventi to step behind the kit on incredibly short notice.

Making light of the perfect coincidence of swapping one "Mario" for a "Luigi," Gojira added a classic gaming nod: "Player 2 has entered the game — RESPECT!"

Paraventi will be handling drum duties for the band's immediate U.S. performances, which include Rock Fest in Cadott, Wisconsin, followed by Upheaval Festival in Michigan and Inkcarceration in Ohio this weekend.

British goth metal titans Cradle of Filth have officially announced their "Majestic In Death II" headlining tour, which will march across North America starting in late September. The upcoming tour will serve as a massive 30th-anniversary celebration of the band's landmark sophomore album, Dusk... And Her Embrace.

Fans planning to attend should take note that the band does not plan to perform the classic album in its entirety; instead, they will be airing a curated selection of tracks from the record alongside other favorites from their catalog. Sharing the stage on this epic dark package are fellow goth metal veterans Moonspell in the direct support slot, with symphonic blackened doom group Worm and alternative rockers Black Satellite opening the shows.

World-renowned rock photographer Mark "Weissguy" Weiss has partnered with Rocked magazine to present a landmark photography exhibition celebrating the career of metal icon Ozzy Osbourne. Hosted at the Art Spot in Asbury Park, New Jersey, "Back To The Beginning: Remembering Ozzy Osbourne" will take fans on a visual journey spanning 44 years of rock history.

The extensive, 50-plus image exhibition bridges the beginning and end of Ozzy's legendary solo run. It is anchored by two historic bookends: Weiss's iconic August 15, 1981 rooftop portrait of Ozzy taken atop Asbury Park's own Convention Hall—now reimagined as a unique collaborative piece with New Jersey artist Pork Chop—and a photograph documenting Ozzy's emotional, final onstage reunion performance at the "Back To The Beginning" tribute concert on July 5, 2025.

The exhibition is structured around several dedicated feature spaces, including a wall inspired by the special "Back To The Beginning" edition of Rocked magazine, a dedicated display honoring Ozzy's landmark 1981 Convention Hall appearance, a section documenting Black Sabbath's legendary 1985 "Live Aid" reunion set, and a special spotlight on New Jersey guitar wizard Zakk Wylde. This final display celebrates Wylde's early years with the band after Weiss first introduced the young guitarist to Ozzy back in 1987.

The exhibition will be on public display through August 17th, with Weiss scheduled to make special appearances to meet fans, share the legendary stories behind the lens, and sign copies of his acclaimed coffee table book, The Decade That Rocked. Attendees can also purchase a special, high-gloss 105-page collector's edition of Rocked magazine featuring Weiss's exclusive photography from the historic final 2025 Birmingham gig. The Art Spot gallery is located at 1100 Ocean Avenue North in Asbury Park, New Jersey, with grand opening and signing events taking place on Thursday and Friday, July 23rd and 24th, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

During System Of A Down's headlining show at London's stadium on July 13th, guitarist Daron Malakian took the opportunity to reignite one of rock's most legendary, decades-long feuds. Right in the heart of the Brit-pop band's home country, Malakian successfully led a roaring crowd of 62,000 fans in a massive, coordinated diss aimed directly at Oasis.

The bad blood dates all the way back to the early 2000s, when Oasis mastermind Noel Gallagher famously trashed the progressive metal giants in an interview with KROQ, labeling them "the shittiest band of all time." Malakian has spent years playfully firing back—including a cheeky photo edit from a Chicago stadium show last year—but Monday night's London crowd took the retaliation to a theatrical new level.

Before launching into the band's tenth track of their blistering 30-song set, the fan-favorite anthem "Needles," Malakian paused to address the stadium. "London, do you have an ass? Adam Lambert recently sat down for a deep, revealing conversation on The Person Who Believed in Me, the podcast hosted by Emmy Award-winning journalist David Begnaud. "It's been amazing. They've taught me a lot, both directly and indirectly," Lambert shared, reflecting on massive "pinch-me" moments like performing at the Queen's Jubilee on the steps of Buckingham Palace and playing his very first show with them in Kiev to millions of viewers. When asked about the financial reality of fronting one of the biggest bands in history, Lambert was refreshingly candid. "Yeah, I will say QUEEN really did put some coins in the bank, which was nice. It was really nice," he admitted. "But I kind of think, like, I've worked really hard for a really long time... and I feel like I've earned the money that I've made—I think."

Just one day after announcing Slaughter to Prevail’s upcoming fall North American tour, frontman Alex Terrible has taken to social media to address immediate backlash regarding their handpicked support acts.

In a candid post on his Instagram account, the vocalist expressed frustration over the recurring cycle of controversy that follows the band whenever they invite openers on the road. Reflecting on the band's history, Alex noted that while fans once complained when they toured without opening acts, inviting support has repeatedly led to hostile pushback. "Every single time the same thing happens," he wrote. "Fans of those bands start calling us Nazis and say they don’t want to see their favorite bands touring with us."

Because of the recurring reputational damage and backlash faced by their touring partners, Alex admitted he personally prefers to hit the stage alone. "That’s why, personally, it’s much easier for me to tour alone, without any support acts, so they don’t have to deal with the backlash or damage to their reputation," he explained.
