Les Claypool is set to release a new live EP from his Colonel Claypool’s Fearless Flying Frog Brigade on May 22. Titled Return Of The Live Frogs: Volume 1, the four-song collection features extended performances captured during the band's 2023 "Hunt For Green October Tour." The tracklist includes fan favorites like "Cosmic Highway" and "Phantom Patriot," as well as a live rendition of "D's Diner" from his 2014 Duo de Twang project. The recordings feature a backing band that includes Sean Lennon, Claypool’s collaborator in The Claypool Lennon Delirium.

The EP release arrives in the midst of a massive year for Claypool. In addition to the live EP, The Claypool Lennon Delirium is preparing to drop their third studio album, The Great Parrot-Ox And The Golden Egg Of Empathy, on May 1. Claypool will then hit the road for the ambitious "Claypool Gold" marathon tour, where he will pull triple duty each night fronting Primus, The Fearless Flying Frog Brigade, and his project with Sean Lennon. The tour kicks off on May 20 in Reno, Nevada, and will run through early July.
