Weezer has announced a new slate of international dates for their upcoming Weezer: The Gathering tour, in support of their forthcoming self-titled album dropping August 21, 2026, via Reprise/Warner Records.

Kicking off in February 2027, the newly added international leg will bring the band across Japan, Europe, and the UK, with Taking Back Sunday joining as support. The news arrives as Weezer prepares for their 32-date North American fall arena run featuring The Shins and Silversun Pickups. Presales for the international dates begin Tuesday, August 11, with general on-sales following on August 14 for the UK/EU and September 5 for Japan.

Alongside the tour news, Weezer dropped their newest single, "C.E.O.," following previous releases "Shine Again" and "We Might as Well be Strangers (feat. Wednesday)." Trujillo recalled receiving a call from Ozzy Osbourne to hit the road for Ozzfest, immediately followed the next day by a call from Lars Ulrich asking him to fly to San Francisco. Facing a sudden choice between two major heavy metal acts, Trujillo committed to Metallica, navigating a intense two-day audition process that included a night of heavy drinking with Ulrich, a hungover session in front of James Hetfield, and playing "Battery" in a borrowed Armani t-shirt.

"Your dad had called and said... 'Let's go.' And I was, like, 'Yeah, let's go.' And then like the next day Lars called and said, 'Hey, we want you to come up to San Francisco. We gotta talk to you.' So it's just kind of weird how in those sort of 48 hours, there was two of the most powerful individuals in hard rock looking for me."

Linkin Park has confirmed the theatrical premiere date for their upcoming documentary film, Unshatter, directed by band member and DJ Joe Hahn. The feature film will hit theaters worldwide starting September 30, with tickets scheduled to go on sale August 13 via UnshatterMovie.com.

Unshatter chronicles the group's journey through loss, resilience, and creative reinvention following the 2017 passing of frontman Chester Bennington. Mixing behind-the-scenes footage with concert performances, the documentary traces Linkin Park's path from their initial studio sessions with newly instated co-vocalist Emily Armstrong to the recording of their 2024 comeback album, From Zero, and their landmark album release performance in São Paulo, Brazil.

Speaking with Metal Hammer, Sharon revealed that discussions with potential artists are already underway and an official announcement is expected soon. The initial plan calls for a two-day event at Villa Park followed by a two-day installment in North America, with the potential to return to a full touring format in 2028 and beyond if fan demand continues.

"Of course we're speaking to people," Sharon shared. "I can't let that out yet, but it'll be soon... We wanna do two days in Aston Villa and then come to America.
