Gene Simmons is standing by his controversial remarks regarding Hip-Hop's place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, following backlash over his statement that he doesn't "come from the ghetto". In a follow-up statement to People, the KISS co-founder clarified that he believes the term "ghetto" originated with Jewish history and was not intended as a racial slur. Don Broco has surprised fans with the release of their high-octane new single "Nightmare Tripping," featuring a collaboration with Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger and Ryan Peake. The track serves as the title song for the band’s upcoming fifth album, the follow-up to 2021's Amazing Things, which is officially set for release on March 27, 2026, via Fearless Records.

In an exclusive interview with Kerrang!, frontman Rob Damiani revealed the collaboration was born after Ryan Peake attended a Don Broco show in Vancouver. "It’s not really the sort of song that Nickelback would usually write themselves," Damiani noted, describing the process of teaming up as a "dream come true". The release is accompanied by a spooky, cinematic music video filmed in a burnt-out haunted house in Los Angeles, matching the song's lyrical themes of sleep paralysis and blurred consciousness.
