The legal battle involving Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler is heading to a Los Angeles Superior Court trial this August. While a judge recently dismissed the majority of Julia Misley’s lawsuit—citing expired statutes of limitations in Massachusetts and other states—a crucial portion of the case remains active due to California’s Child Victims Act.

Misley’s lawsuit, originally filed in 2022, alleges that Tyler used his "status and power" to groom and exploit her starting when she was 16 and he was in his mid-20s. The complaint highlights Tyler's own 2011 memoir, Does the Noise in My Head Bother You?, in which he discussed obtaining legal custody of a teenager so he could take her on tour without being arrested.

While Tyler’s attorney, David Long-Daniels, called the dismissal of 99.9% of the claims a "massive win," Misley’s legal team remains focused on the upcoming trial. "It is time for justice and for Tyler to be held accountable by a jury," said her attorney, Jeff Anderson. Tyler has consistently denied the allegations and previously sought to have the entire case dismissed.

Nothing More have entered the studio to begin work on their eighth full-length album. Sessions for the new record commenced in late April in Nashville, Tennessee, following a successful run of early 2026 tour dates.

The band is once again collaborating with producer and songwriter Sahaj Ticotin (of the band Ra), who has been a key creative partner on their recent output. In addition to the new recording sessions, Nothing More was recently announced as a headliner for the 2027 ShipRocked cruise, alongside Papa Roach and Ice Nine Kills.
