Killswitch Engage frontman Jesse Leach has opened up about a major evolution in his personal beliefs, revealing that he has officially stopped calling himself a Christian. Speaking in a candid new interview with Pennsylvania publication The Morning Call, the metalcore vocalist explained that while his religious upbringing still acts as a constant creative muse, he now identifies with a broader, more humble spiritual mindset after decades of traveling the world and witnessing the negative impacts of organized faith.

"I was raised in a very evangelical home, but we've all changed quite a bit. I stopped calling myself a Christian," Leach admitted to the publication. "I believe I am a spiritual being. I've humbled myself because I think there's a bit of arrogance in telling somebody you know the absolute truth. The more I've traveled, the more my worldview has changed. It's an acceptance that I don't have the answers, but I'm going to continue to search until the day I die."
