As rumors continue to circulate regarding Sid Wilson's reported firing from Slipknot, Stacy Thomson—wife of guitarist Mick Thomson—has shared a cryptic message to her Instagram Stories that appears to address the growing internet frenzy.

Rather than directly addressing the situation, Stacy shared a famous, sarcastic quote from Ferris Bueller's Day Off mocking reliance on unverified rumors:

"My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with a girl who saw Ferris pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious."

Her post follows a separate statement from guitarist Jim Root, who urged fans to hold off on jumping to conclusions after TMZ reported that Wilson had been permanently removed from the band. To date, neither Slipknot nor Wilson has issued an official statement confirming or denying the reports.

Heavy metal heavyweights Five Finger Death Punch have released an official music video for "Nails In The Coffin," coinciding with today's digital release of their milestone tenth studio album, Legacy.

Arriving exactly 19 years after the band's 2007 debut The Way of the Fist, the 10-track album—produced by Drew Fulk alongside the band—strips down to a streamlined, high-intensity runtime while showcasing founding guitarist Zoltan Bathory and frontman Ivan Moody at the height of their commercial power. Physical editions of Legacy on CD, vinyl, and cassette are set to follow on September 18th.

Reflecting on the track, Bathory shared:

"To me, 'Nails In The Coffin' is about burying the things that tried to bury us. Every doubt, every prediction that we wouldn't last, every catastrophe that was supposed to be the last nail in our coffin. 20 years later, we are still here and we're the ones holding the hammer."

The release arrives in the midst of the band's sprawling 48-city North American tour alongside Cody Jinks and Eva Under Fire, with European arena dates featuring Lamb of God and Bleed From Within slated for early 2027. Continuing their longstanding charitable efforts, a portion of ticket sales from the current tour will benefit high-performance programs for Team USA athletes preparing for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Grammy Award-winning rock outfit Greta Van Fleet have officially announced their upcoming studio album, Palace For The People, set for release on October 9th via Republic Records.

To mark the announcement, the band dropped the album's latest single, "Saw You Stand," an intimate yet cinematic ballad that showcases soaring falsetto vocals from frontman Josh Kiszka. Co-produced alongside Mike Elizondo in Tennessee, the project follows their recent comeback track "Play Your Games" and marks the band's first full-length effort since 2023's Starcatcher.

Coinciding with the new music, the band is celebrating the launch of the Palace For The People era tonight with an intimate, sold-out performance at Chicago's historic Metro.

"As much as it is a Greta Van Fleet record and a rock and roll record at its core, in its heart, it's a very modern record," guitarist Jake Kiszka shared.

Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash has confirmed that the newly finished fifth album from Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators is set for release in February 2027.

Speaking with Rolling Stone Australia editor-in-chief Neil Griffiths, Slash explained that the record is fully tracked and mixed, but its release is being held until early 2027 to allow for a proper world tour following the conclusion of Guns N' Roses' current touring slate. He also shared that songwriting for new Guns N' Roses material is underway, alongside plans for another blues record and an international tour with his blues group.

"I think it's one of those things that I learned... basically just to keep myself out of trouble, I just keep busy," Slash shared. "And when I got back together with Guns, I had no inclination of breaking [The Conspirators] up. And I do it because I love to do it."

Vocalist Myles Kennedy previously confirmed that all vocal tracking was completed, describing the new material as riff-based rock 'n' roll steeped in Slash's signature heavy blues influence.

Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee has opened up about the bitter legal battle between the band and founding guitarist Mick Mars following Mars's retirement from touring.

Speaking on Billy Corgan's The Magnificent Others podcast, Lee described the experience as deeply painful and uncomfortable, comparing the band's split with Mars to a messy divorce. He expressed sympathy for Mars's ongoing fight with Ankylosing Spondylitis, acknowledging how much the severe spinal disease impacted the guitarist's ability to perform. At the same time, Lee defended the band's decision to bring in John 5, crediting him with revitalizing their live performances after Mars struggled on stage during The Stadium Tour.

"For me, that whole thing was awkward and really hurtful... I got nothing but love for that guy—nothing but love," Lee shared. "I have to give props to John 5, because him coming in was the exact shot of adrenaline and life and energy and fire that we were missing."

The comments follow a final arbitration award issued earlier this year that ruled entirely in favor of Mötley Crüe, confirming Mars forfeited rights to touring revenue after stepping down and ordering him to repay unrecouped tour advances.

Thirty Seconds to Mars frontman and actor Jared Leto is facing renewed scrutiny following the release of a new BBC documentary titled Jared Leto: Hollywood’s Dark Secret.

In the documentary, four women have come forward alleging sexual misconduct, sexual assault, and statutory rape occurring when they were minors. Four additional women in the project claim Leto engaged in sexually inappropriate phone conversations with them when they were younger, while two former Thirty Seconds to Mars employees voiced concerns regarding his behavior around teenage girls. The claims span incidents alleged to have occurred between 2002 and 2016.

Leto has firmly denied all allegations featured in the documentary, issuing a statement to The Hollywood Reporter:

"I have never sexually assaulted anyone in my entire life. These claims are absolutely and categorically false."

The new claims follow a similar exposé published by Air Mail in 2025, in which nine women brought forward allegations against the singer.
