Disturbed frontman David Draiman has lashed out at rapper Macklemore following the fallout surrounding his removal from Ed Sheeran’s The Loop Tour and his subsequent aid donation.

Taking to social media on Friday morning, Draiman accused the hip-hop artist of using the situation as calculated self-promotion rather than genuine humanitarian advocacy:

“Cashing in on your hate mongering. How typical and how predictable. Your ‘donation’ is like artist’s waving their performance fees for the Super Bowl. This is the biggest promo op of your life, and you prepared for it, so don’t pretend to be so ‘righteous’. It’s all one big grift for you isn’t it? You planned this all along, you sacrificed your friend and hijacked his tour to be the catalyst for this. Anyone that doesn’t see it is a fool, or blind, or both.”

Draiman went on to criticize the impact of Macklemore's actions, calling it an attempt to stay relevant at the expense of others:

“The worst part is that none of this will actually help Palestinians, nor will it bring the terrible cycle of violence any closer to an end. What it will do is get you the attention you so desperately seek, and present you the opportunity to elevate yourself amongst the Jew hating mob. You whored out your ‘cause’ and your ‘friend’ in an attempt to pull yourself out of irrelevance. Thats all this is.”

Oceans Calling has officially pulled the plug on its entire 2026 festival as severe coastal conditions, flooding, and beach erosion continue to plague the Ocean City site.

The complete weekend shutdown comes immediately after organizers were forced to cancel Friday performances when relentless elements prevented crews from safely completing stage construction.

"Tides, floods, and high winds have prevented us from safely continuing the build of Oceans Calling Festival," organizers stated. "Following the advice of the National Weather Service and in cooperation with local public officials, we must make the difficult decision to cancel Oceans Calling 2026."

The difficult choice marks yet another weather-related setback for the seaside event, which has battled challenging conditions repeatedly since it was first announced.

Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne are bringing their historic final performance to cinemas worldwide in the upcoming concert film, Ozzy & Black Sabbath: Back To The Beginning.

The film documents the sold-out concert at Birmingham's Villa Park stadium, featuring a solo set from Ozzy alongside original Black Sabbath bandmates Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward performing together for the first time in more than 20 years. Captured just 17 days before Ozzy's passing, the historical landmark event served as the singer's ultimate hometown farewell.

"'Back To The Beginning' came about because I asked Ozzy what would really make him happy," says Sharon Osbourne. "And he said the only thing that would make him happy was if he could perform again and say goodbye to his fans. That's all he wanted to do. He wanted to say goodbye and thank you."

Former Turnstile guitarist Brady Ebert has been ruled mentally incompetent to stand trial for second-degree attempted murder against the father of Turnstile frontman Brendan Yates. Judge Karla Smith issued the ruling in Montgomery County court, determining the 34-year-old musician was a danger to himself and others before placing him in the custody of the Maryland Department of Health.

Skillet frontman John Cooper is pushing back against long-running accusations that his band's hard rock sound is sinful or demonic. Speaking in a conversation with David A.R. White, Cooper explained that he has stopped trying to convince strict spiritual critics that heavy guitars and driving drums are not evil.

Comparing his journey to Lenny Kravitz struggling to fit a single category, Cooper noted that Skillet has constantly faced labels of being too heavy, not heavy enough, or not overtly Christian enough. Despite backlash—including listeners branding their heavy Christmas track O Come, O Come Emmanuel as demonic before it topped five Billboard charts—Cooper insists that music itself does not belong to the devil.

"I just know for a fact I will never be able to convince a Bill Gothardite or somebody from your Mennonite church, I will never be able to convince them that hard rock is not evil," Cooper said. "They just believe that the music is inherently full of the power of Satan, and there's nothing I can do, and so there's no reason to try."
