Poison drummer Rikki Rockett recently addressed speculation regarding whether the iconic rock band would ever replace frontman Bret Michaels for an upcoming tour. Following their 2022 Stadium Tour alongside Mötley Crüe and Def Leppard, questions arose about whether Poison might hit the road with a different singer while Michaels focuses on his solo band.

Rockett clarified during an appearance on the Cobras & Fire podcast that while the topic has come up casually during moments of frustration, no serious plans exist to replace their long-time vocalist.

"We’ve talked about that when we’ve gotten upset, just like I’m sure Bret’s talked about replacing me when he’s gotten upset. But there hasn’t been any serious discussion about that," Rockett explained.

Corey Taylor is facing fierce backlash from portions of the Slipknot fanbase after teaming up with Falling In Reverse frontman Ronnie Radke and System of a Down’s Serj Tankian on the newly released track, "Joseph."

Following the track's premiere and its Jensen Noen-directed video—which quickly surpassed 2 million views within a day—fans took to Reddit to express disbelief and frustration over Taylor's decision to work with Radke, particularly given Taylor's past public feuds with mainstream artists:

“Corey shit talking Imagine Dragons and MGK but then doing a song with Falling In Reverse is truly one of the moments of all time,” one fan remarked.

Another commenter added: “Corey, annoyingly, sounds pretty good in it... It is genuinely one of the worst things I’ve ever heard, though. I’m genuinely surprised at least 2 artists who were pretty much visionaries in their earlier careers have featured on that absolute garbage.”

While the track marks a historic first-time studio pairing between Taylor and Tankian, Radke recently revealed the straightforward method behind landing both heavy hitters:

During an appearance celebrating his new memoir, In My Darkest Hour, Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine spoke candidly about his diagnosis with Dupuytren's contracture—a condition that causes tissue under the skin to thicken and pulls fingers into a bent position—and how it influenced the decision to embark on the band's extended global farewell tour.

Mustaine addressed his future and his approach to the stage while managing the condition, sharing:

"I'm sure I'm gonna be involved in music to some degree, whether it's as simple as just listening to it or making it. I don't know. I'm hoping God's gonna heal me and there's gonna be some kind of new technology that they'll say, 'Hey, guess what? When you put your hand in this glove and then — boom — your hand's given back to you nice and shiny and new.' That would be pretty bitchin', I think. But I'm just gonna keep trying to be hopeful and play the best I can until then."

Mustaine also reflected on the bittersweet feeling of walking onto the stage each night, reiterating his desire to bow out gracefully while still performing at his highest standard rather than letting physical wear diminish the band's legacy:

"I always said when it got to the point where I was unable to give a hundred percent every night, that's when I was gonna start considering winding down... Most of them don't get to go out on their own terms on top, and that's where I'm at in my life right now. I have traveled the world and have made millions upon millions of fans and the hardest part of all of this is saying goodbye to them."

Iron Maiden bassist and founder Steve Harris sat down with Charlie Bahama to discuss the journey of his side project, British Lion, reflecting on why he continues hitting the road in smaller, intimate venues after more than a decade together.

Harris explained that while the group formed 14 years ago out of material he wrote and developed with the musicians back in the '90s, Maiden’s busy schedule means British Lion operates whenever there is downtime:

"Well, back in the day I couldn't have done it because we were so busy with Maiden. But then we started touring a little bit less frequently and the tours were a little less longer, so we had a bit of few gaps in between... And some of the stuff that we wrote together I thought, 'You know what? It's gotta see the light of day.' And I thought the only way to really grab it by the scruff of the neck and do something with it is actually being in a band myself. So that's what I did. And it's been great."

Addressing how he manages the energy for both projects, Harris highlighted his simple, relentless drive for the stage:

"I do rest, but, yeah, there's a time and place for resting. But I love playing — I just love playing live. I mean, if people come along to [see British Lion perform], they'll see that. It's very evident that we all love to do what we do... I actually think it should be the same, whether you're playing for 200 or 200,000 people, you know. To me, there's no difference. You still give 110 percent wherever you're playing."

Multi-platinum rockers Skillet are celebrating a major milestone, surpassing 30 million RIAA-certified units across 21 titles, led by their signature hit "Monster," which is now certified 7x Platinum with over 5 billion global streams.

The achievement arrives alongside a wave of newly recognized honors—including "Hero" reaching 4x Platinum and both "Awake and Alive" and "Feel Invincible" hitting 3x Platinum—as the band readies the release of their independent six-song EP, After the Storm, dropping October 9. Produced by David Cowell (Sleep Theory), the project saw frontman John Cooper return to his Memphis roots to capture a heavier, deeply personal sound:

Falling In Reverse frontman Ronnie Radke has addressed his lingering feud with Spiritbox vocalist Courtney LaPlante, setting the record straight from his perspective on why the band pulled out of 2023’s Popular Monstour and dismissing rumors that their heavy track "Softspine" is about him.

Speaking on the fallout, Radke recalled helping Spiritbox out with gear during technical difficulties at a 2018 show before things soured years later when fan pushback erupted over their joint tour announcement:

"This is why I lost respect and got mad is because she instead of calling me direct, she had her manager [say] that they can’t do the tour. And what that did was it separated the fans, but she knew the whole time about my criminal history. She knew everything about me. I’ve been the same person. She’s known all about me. It’s not like she was like, 'Oh, really? That happened? Oh, I can’t do the tour.'"

Radke insisted that the decision to drop off the bill stemmed from vocal online complaints rather than principle:

"The only reason she didn’t do the tour is because 20 of her parasocial weirdo fans... was mad at her. And from that point on, I felt like [they] control her whole narrative. And I think that’s really f*ing whack. And I think that’s the reason why she wrote 'Softspine.' So you can’t write 'Softspine' about somebody like me when your spine is soft for dropping off a tour because 20 of your fans are mad at you."

Spiritbox originally exited the 2023 tour without a detailed public explanation after receiving backlash from fans regarding Radke's past legal controversies.

AMC Theatres is teaming up with horror-metal heavyweights Ice Nine Kills and Bloody Disgusting to bring iconic horror classics back to the big screen this October with the "Welcome to Horrorwood" AMC Thrills & Chills series.

Taking place across approximately 300 AMC locations nationwide, the monthlong event celebrates films that inspired songs on the band's landmark albums The Silver Scream and The Silver Scream 2: Welcome to Horrorwood. Each screening features an exclusive introduction by frontman Spencer Charnas, followed by the band's corresponding music video and the feature film:

Tom Morello’s Power to the People festival has expanded its lineup for the upcoming one-day event on October 3rd at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland. New additions to the bill include Geezer Butler, Stephen Stills, Nathaniel Rateliff, Mike McCready, Scott Ian, State Radio, and The Last Internationale. Billed as a celebration of peace, love, justice, music, and community, the festival promises a huge day of live music.

Trafalgar Releasing and Mercury Studios have announced the worldwide cinematic release of "Ozzy & Black Sabbath: Back To The Beginning." The upcoming event film captures the legendary final live performance from Ozzy Osbourne and the original Black Sabbath lineup. Cinema screenings are set to begin globally on October 28, 2026, with tickets going on sale September 24.

The landmark concert took place at Birmingham's Villa Park stadium, marking the original band's first performance together in over 20 years.
