Rock and metal icon Rob Zombie has premiered the official music video for "Black Rat Coffin," the latest standout cut from his eighth solo album, The Great Satan (Nuclear Blast Records).

The record marks Zombie's first new studio release in five years, featuring tracks such as "Punks And Demons," "Heathen Days," and "Tarantula."

The new video arrives right alongside the launch of Zombie's co-headlining North American "Freaks On Parade" summer tour with Marilyn Manson, which kicked off August 20 in West Palm Beach, Florida, and runs through September 20 in Concord, California.

From Ashes to New have unveiled a new version of their single "Die For You" from their latest album, REFLECTIONS (Better Noise Music), featuring guest vocals from alt-pop sister duo Neoni.

Serving as the follow-up to the band's first-ever No. 1 rock radio hit "Drag Me," the track currently sits at No. 15 on the Active Rock charts. The song recently had a viral moment when the band took a strong, active stance against cyberbullying after noticing negative comments left on a video of a fan singing along at a show. Frontman Matt Brandyberry addressed the behavior directly from the stage and gifted the fan lifetime guest list access to their concerts.

"'Die For You' felt like the perfect opportunity to bring our separate sides of the alternative worlds together and create something that feels fresh, emotional, and uniquely ours," said Brandyberry.

Neoni shared the excitement, adding: "It was such a pleasure to work with everyone in From Ashes to New to add our perspective to such an incredible song. We had so much fun and we can't wait for you to hear it."

Thirty-five years ago this week, Nirvana gathered at GMT Studios in Culver City, California, to film the music video for their defining anthem, "Smells Like Teen Spirit."

Created on a budget of less than $50,000, the video was directed by recent art school graduate Samuel Bayer in his music video debut. Inspired by films like Over the Edge and the Ramones' Rock 'n' Roll High School, frontman Kurt Cobain storyboarded the concept of a dark, dystopian high school pep rally.

After recruiting around 150 fans via flyers at The Roxy in Los Angeles, the shoot dragged on for hours until Cobain encouraged the exhausted crowd to storm the floor and mosh around the band—sparking the genuine chaotic riot captured in the final cut.

The clip debuted on MTV's 120 Minutes in late September 1991, quickly went into heavy rotation, and won two MTV Video Music Awards the following year. In March 2026, the guitar Cobain played in the iconic video sold at Christie's for a record-breaking $6.907 million.

Tom Morello joined Loudwire Nights to discuss his upcoming release, Everyone Gets Everything They Want, describing the project as the "first fastball down the middle, huge riff rock Tom Morello solo album" across his 22-record career.

During the conversation, Morello highlighted the story behind his latest single, "Date Night," which honors three teenage Dutch resistance fighters who took on Nazi forces during World War II. The track's driving riff was composed by his son, Roman Morello:

"He wrote the riff," Morello said. "He’s got enough of that Morellian DNA that sometimes I go, 'I wish I wrote that one.'"

The guitarist also shared a touching moment about his mother, Mary Morello, who passed away at age 102 in July, noting that he was able to share the complete project with her beforehand:

"I'm glad I got to play the full record for my mom before she passed. She was always very unfiltered in her comments about my music through the years. I said, 'What do you think, Mom?' She goes, 'It's good.' And I'm like, I'll take it. I'll take it."

Nita Strauss is heading back to SoFi Stadium this weekend to kick off her seventh consecutive season as the official guitarist for the Los Angeles Rams, bringing along an exciting new addition to the live performance.

For the 2026 NFL season, Strauss will be joined on the field by her husband, manager, and longtime drummer Josh Villalta, transforming her high-energy game day sets into a full duo showcase.

"To be brought in this year is an incredible honor," shared Villalta. "The Rams organization has been amazing to Nita and I over the years, so having the opportunity to officially join her makes this even more special. I’m excited to bring a new element to the game day experience."

Def Leppard guitarist Vivian Campbell has revealed that his cancer has returned following a donor stem cell transplant in early 2025.

In a recent interview with Francisco Sigüenza of El Salvador's Radio YSKL FM, the 63-year-old musician—who was first diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma in 2013—opened up about his ongoing health journey and his commitment to keep moving forward.

"In the winter of 2023, I got really scared about what was happening and the pace at which it was happening," Campbell shared. "I realized at that point that I had to do a donor transplant. It was my only hope to survive... I did that in January of '25. Unfortunately, it didn't stick. So the cancer has returned. And I'm continuing treatments to manage it."

Despite the setback, Campbell emphasized that he has no intention of slowing down, actively performing with both Def Leppard and Last in Line while pursuing his lifelong passion for rally driving.

"Life is for the living," Campbell added. "I encourage everyone to look after their own health. And if you are unfortunate enough to get a cancer diagnosis to overcome the fear... You gotta realize just how to manage it and how to deal with it as best as possible, and just don't give in."
