The Psychedelic Furs are heading back to the road this summer, announcing a new string of U.S. tour dates featuring support from Living Colour. The 22-date run kicks off on August 2 in Arvada, Colorado, and will wind through major cities including Chicago, New York, Boston, and Washington D.C., before wrapping up on September 6 in Miami. A special August 14 stop in Buffalo will also feature a performance by the Violent Femmes.

The tour brings together two definitive forces of the 80s and 90s alternative scenes. The Furs, who saw a massive resurgence following their 2020 album Made of Rain, remain celebrated for timeless hits like "Pretty in Pink." They will be joined by Living Colour, the Grammy-winning outfit behind the legendary anthem "Cult of Personality." Tickets for the newly announced dates go on pre-sale Wednesday, May 6, at 10:00 a.m. local time, with general on-sale beginning Friday, May 8, via Ticketmaster.

P.O.D. has officially finished work on their twelfth studio album, swapping their Southern California roots for the historic streets of South Philadelphia. In a new interview with SWOMP, the band confirmed they recorded the entire 14-track project in just 12 days at Memory Music Studios with producer Will Yip (Turnstile, Quicksand, Code Orange). Moving the operation to the Whitman section of Philly allowed the band to pull 12-hour shifts away from the distractions of home, a move bassist Traa Daniels said was essential for getting "out of our element."

Guitarist Marcos Curiel noted that the partnership with Yip was a natural fit, citing the producer's background with hip-hop label Ruffhouse Records as a perfect complement to P.O.D.'s signature sound. "He wasn't trying to change us," Curiel explained. "He was like, 'This is what P.O.D. is. Let's try to enhance that and make it fresh.'" Frontman Sonny Sandoval added that Yip’s genuine fandom and infectious energy provided a massive creative boost.
