During System Of A Down's headlining show at London's stadium on July 13th, guitarist Daron Malakian took the opportunity to reignite one of rock's most legendary, decades-long feuds. Right in the heart of the Brit-pop band's home country, Malakian successfully led a roaring crowd of 62,000 fans in a massive, coordinated diss aimed directly at Oasis.

The bad blood dates all the way back to the early 2000s, when Oasis mastermind Noel Gallagher famously trashed the progressive metal giants in an interview with KROQ, labeling them "the shittiest band of all time." Malakian has spent years playfully firing back—including a cheeky photo edit from a Chicago stadium show last year—but Monday night's London crowd took the retaliation to a theatrical new level.

Before launching into the band's tenth track of their blistering 30-song set, the fan-favorite anthem "Needles," Malakian paused to address the stadium. "London, do you have an ass? Everybody say ass!" he yelled to the crowd. "We have a little song about a tapeworm. Just for fun, today I'm going to name the tapeworm. Today, I'm gonna name the tapeworm Oasis. Just one day after announcing Slaughter to Prevail’s upcoming fall North American tour, frontman Alex Terrible has taken to social media to address immediate backlash regarding their handpicked support acts.

In a candid post on his Instagram account, the vocalist expressed frustration over the recurring cycle of controversy that follows the band whenever they invite openers on the road. Reflecting on the band's history, Alex noted that while fans once complained when they toured without opening acts, inviting support has repeatedly led to hostile pushback. "Every single time the same thing happens," he wrote. "Fans of those bands start calling us Nazis and say they don’t want to see their favorite bands touring with us."

Shinedown bassist, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Eric Bass took to Instagram yesterday, July 13th, to deliver a message centered entirely around profound gratitude. Visibly moved and joined on camera by his dog, Billy, the musician expressed how deeply humbled he has been by an immense, global wave of love and encouragement that flooded his inbox over the last 48 hours.

"The last 24 hours has been very humbling for me. I guess 48 hours now," Bass shared in the raw, candid video update. "All of the thousands of kind messages that I've gotten on Instagram... not to mention the hundreds of private messages I've gotten from people, text messages. I haven't had a chance to thank everybody yet, I will... but it's been quite overwhelming, the kindness and what everybody's offered me."
