Korn frontman Jonathan Davis has officially married partner Brittany Parisi in a Renaissance-inspired ceremony in Palos Verdes Estates, California.

The couple exchanged traditional vows on July 3rd at The Neighborhood Church of Palos Verdes in front of 80 guests. The aesthetic for the intimate wedding was drawn from Sandro Botticelli's iconic painting The Birth of Venus—the exact artwork in Florence’s Uffizi Gallery where Davis proposed to Parisi in June 2025.

The celebration incorporated elements honoring both Davis' Scottish heritage and Parisi's Italian roots. Davis wore custom Douglass Tartan attire while a bagpiper heralded his entrance, while Parisi wore a bespoke gown designed by Ashton Michael. Davis' Korn bandmates—guitarists James "Munky" Shaffer and Brian "Head" Welch, bassist Ra Diaz, and drummer Ray Luzier—were all in attendance.

"Our wedding was a perfect fairy tale," the couple shared. "We will never forget it."

The ceremony was followed by an oceanfront cocktail hour featuring skywriting over the Pacific Ocean, a five-course meal, and a gothic-influenced white wedding cake.

Just hours after Kim Dracula officially launched their new era with by dropping the single "Molecular Conversion," progressive mathcore band The Callous Daoboys took to social media to accuse the artist of lifting a breakdown from their catalog.

The Daoboys pointed out the structural similarities on X (formerly Twitter), sharing a side-by-side comparison clip contrasting the heavy section in Kim Dracula’s new track with a breakdown from their April 2026 single, "Gigantic Parasite Tongue."

"Cool breakdown @kimdrac glad you liked the song lol," The Callous Daoboys posted alongside the video comparison.

Daoboys frontman Carson Pace added fuel to the online banter shortly after, tweeting: "AI do the daoboys thing".

While the posts sparked heavy debate across the metalcore community over whether the moment was a direct bite, a genre coincidence, or harmless trolling, fans quickly pointed out that "Molecular Conversion" was written and filmed nearly a year ago—well before "Gigantic Parasite Tongue" was released. Pace has since clarified during a livestream that he was simply poking fun at the similar guitar chugs and pitch-bends.

Ghost has released the official trailer for their second feature-length collaboration with Trafalgar Releasing, 2 Big To Rig.

Captured live on 16mm film during two sold-out shows at Mexico City’s Palacio De Los Deportes in September 2025, the film transports viewers into the center of a crowd of nearly 40,000 fans. Unlike 2024’s narrative-driven box office hit Rite Here Rite Now, 2 Big To Rig focuses strictly on the live experience—delivering the only pro-shot footage of Papa V Perpetua and the Nameless Ghouls from their recent phone-free "Skeletour" world tour, alongside behind-the-scenes footage highlighting the crew.

The title 2 Big To Rig nods to the massive, complex production that brought the "Skeletour" era to a close in February 2026 after 70 dates across North America, Europe, and Mexico. The film was created as a love letter to fans, particularly those in markets where staging the full show wasn't logistically possible.

The setlist spans all six of Ghost’s studio albums—including 2025’s Billboard No. 1 album Skeletá—alongside standalone hits like "Mary On A Cross," "Kiss The Go-Goat," and "The Future Is A Foreign Land."

Bassist Mike Kroeger has revealed that Canadian rock heavyweights Nickelback sold roughly 80% of their music rights to an undisclosed buyer a couple of years ago.

Speaking with radio host Abe Kanan on Audacy, Kroeger addressed the trend of major artists selling off their publishing and master recording rights. When Kanan speculated that Nickelback's massive catalog of hits must be worth at least $200 million, Kroeger confirmed that the group had already found out its exact value through a major deal.

"Well, we found out how much it's worth, 'cause we did sell 80% of it," Kroeger shared. "[We did that] a couple of years ago. It is an interesting thing to try to assign a value to something like that. It's very interesting. It was a really, really peculiar and interesting process, but we got a good partner and we're real happy with how it went."

While financial specifics were not disclosed, the buyout represents a massive financial deal given Nickelback's commercial success. The band boasts nearly 60 million albums sold globally, including their diamond-certified 2005 album All The Right Reasons, alongside a catalog of evergreen radio hits like "How You Remind Me" and "Photograph."

Nickelback joins a growing list of heavy music acts cashing in on catalog buyouts as streaming payouts lag, following similar major deals by former labelmates Slipknot, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Deftones.

Swedish melodic death metal lords Amon Amarth have officially announced their 13th studio album, The Allfather Awakens, set to drop on October 2nd via Metal Blade Records.

To kick off the new era, the band has unleashed the album's opening track and lead single, "Gjallarhorn." The furious track follows their previous acoustic release "Upphaf," returning the group to their trademark driving guitar riffs, high-tempo energy, and anthemic choruses. Lyrically, the track pulls from Norse mythology, referencing Oden's sacrifice of his eye at the Well of Wisdom, Mímisbrunnr, in exchange for cosmic insight.

For The Allfather Awakens, the band adopted a unique songwriting approach across two separate sessions at producer Jacob Hansen's studio in Denmark, completing tracks individually from start to finish while on the road. The 10-song record features cover art created by longtime collaborator Tom Thiel and moves back to classic Marshall amplifier setups for a raw, punchy guitar tone.

The album arrives ahead of Amon Amarth's Fall 2026 North American tour alongside Dethklok and Castle Rat, where the band is set to unveil an all-new stage production modeled after Oden's legendary Golden Hall.

Chris Cornell tribute project King Ultramega has returned with a fiery new single, reimagining Soundgarden's deep cut "Birth Ritual"—originally featured on the iconic 1992 Singles movie soundtrack.

Organized by bassist and producer Mark Menghi, the newly recorded track brings together original Soundgarden drummer Matt Cameron alongside Halestorm's Lzzy Hale on vocals and Joe Hottinger on guitar. Released just after what would have been Cornell's 58th birthday and coinciding with the 30th anniversary of Singles, the tribute benefits the MusiCares foundation, supporting health and recovery resources for music industry professionals.

Cameron's inclusion marks the second time an active Soundgarden member has joined the King Ultramega project, following guitarist Kim Thayil's appearance on a re-recorded version of "The Day I Tried to Live."

"Bringing in Matt was essential," Menghi shared. "Having the guy who actually lived that experience—and is famously in the movie performing the OG version of this song live from behind the drum kit... gives our version an undeniable, authentic energy. Pairing our rhythm section with the sheer power of Lzzy and Joe took this track to the stratosphere."

"Every time I tackle a Chris Cornell track I always want to honor his legacy," Hale said of tackling the vocal performance. "But with 'Birth Ritual', I wanted to dance with it, meld his incendiary words with my soul and find a way to live inside the song."
