$Poison frontman Bret Michaels has been forced to pause his "Live & Amplified" solo tour following emergency surgery for a complicated obstructing kidney stone. Michaels began experiencing severe pain following a July 19th performance at Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane, Washington. His physician, Dr. Abby Borhan, confirmed that a ureteral stent was successfully placed during the procedure but noted that Michaels's recovery is heavily complicated by his lifelong Type 1 Diabetes and a lower back compression fracture. Doctors instructed Michaels to refrain from performing for three to four weeks to prevent severe complications, including infections or stent displacement. Michaels expressed deep gratitude for his medical team and fans, remaining hopeful to return to the stage by late August.
