The legendary gothic concert throne belonging to the late Ozzy Osbourne has officially gone on public display in his hometown of Birmingham, England. Serving as a poignant centerpiece for the ongoing, free Ozzy Osbourne: Working Class Hero exhibition at the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, the return of the artifact coincides with the solemn one-year anniversary of the heavy metal pioneer’s passing. Originally constructed for his 2024 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction, the intricately designed chair was last used on stage during his final solo performance and Black Sabbath’s historic Back to the Beginning charity concert at Villa Park on July 5th of last year, just 17 days before he passed away at age 76.

Housed in a specially constructed display case, the throne allows fans to get an up-close look at its incredibly detailed, macabre craftsmanship, featuring sculpted skulls, bat motifs, and a built-in water cannon. In a touch that has deeply moved visiting fans, the display also exposes the hidden rear handles that crews used behind the scenes to seamlessly wheel the Prince of Darkness out into the stadium spotlight. Rush have been forced to put the brakes on their highly anticipated Texas run. The band has officially postponed their June 30th and July 2nd performances at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth after bassist and vocalist Geddy Lee was diagnosed with both laryngitis and bronchitis.

The announcement hits Fort Worth fans particularly hard, as the July 2nd date was already a rescheduled slot from a June 24th show that had been pushed back due to international travel and border-related production delays. In a statement shared to social media, the band expressed their deep frustration over the medical pause:

"Geddy has been diagnosed with laryngitis and bronchitis. After being evaluated by his doctors, he has been advised that he needs additional time to rest and recover before returning to the stage... After more than 50 years of touring, we've always believed that if we’re going to step on stage, we owe you the very best performance we can give — and right now, that simply isn't possible."

Fortunately, venue organizers and the band's team moved quickly to lock down replacement dates. The June 30th concert has been officially moved to Saturday, July 11th, while the July 2nd show will now take place on Monday, July 13th. All previously purchased tickets will be fully honored for the new dates, and refunds will be made available at the original point of purchase for fans unable to make the turnaround.

The stadium and arena tour has been a monumental success, expanding from an initial 22-date run to a massive 58-show itinerary across North America, with highly anticipated extensions into South America and Europe already mapped out for early 2027.

"For many years, Israel’s government used AIPAC to lobby the US Congress to not recognize the Armenian genocide... due to their relationship with Turkey, their intelligence sharing with Turkey, et cetera. Today, the Netanyahu cabinet decided to recognize the Armenian genocide of 1915 — a genocide that led Hitler thinking that he could do what he could do to the Jews in the 1930s and 1940s."
