The controversy began when Italian footballer Jorginho Frello publicly complained about the behavior of a security guard toward his daughter near the pop star. While the guard—who was not part of Roan's personal team—has since taken "full responsibility," the digital fallout was massive. According to GUDEA’s analysis of over 100,000 posts, while only about 4% of users were identified as "non-typical" (likely bots), those accounts were responsible for more than 23% of the total negative discourse.

The findings highlight a growing trend of "manufactured outrage" targeting female artists who speak openly about fan boundaries and mental health. Despite Roan issuing an apology and the guard's statement clearing her team of any involvement, the bot activity significantly prolonged the "industry villain" narrative across social media platforms. As the data suggests, a substantial portion of the viral judgment passed in the "court of public opinion" may not have come from genuine fans or critics, but from automated systems designed to escalate the scandal.
