Sully Erna is setting the record straight regarding the future of Godsmack, confirming that the band is moving forward with both a new direction and fresh faces. Despite previous suggestions that their 2023 release would be their final studio effort, Erna revealed in a new interview that the creative spark has returned. "I think I may have spoken too soon about the end," Erna admitted. "We’ve realized we still have stories to tell and, quite frankly, we still got some gas in the tank."

The news comes alongside a significant update to the band's roster. Following the departure of longtime drummer Shannon Larkin and guitarist Tony Rombola earlier this year, Erna has introduced a "revitalized" lineup. Joining the band are drummer Wade Murff and guitarist Sam Bam Koltun (Dorothy), who Erna credits with bringing a new energy to the songwriting process. The frontman teased that the new material is "heavier and more aggressive" than their recent melodic output, marking a return to the band's hard-hitting roots. Godsmack currently plans to release new music sometime in 2027.

Bring Me The Horizon has officially added a new leg to their massive 2026 "Ascension Program" world tour, confirming a fall North American run that will see them hitting major arenas across Canada and the U.S. Midwest. Once again joining the British alternative metal stars as main support is industrial metalcore outfit Motionless In White, while platinum-certified melodic metalcore band The Plot In You will handle opening duties for this new set of dates.

The fall trek is set to kick off on September 20 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, BC, making stops in major Canadian cities including Calgary, Ottawa, and Quebec City before crossing back into the U.S. for a performance in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
