More than two decades after her viral 2004 Saturday Night Live mishap, Ashlee Simpson says she is finally ready to return to the Studio 8H stage. The singer recently found redemption as “Galaxy Girl,” the newly crowned winner of The Masked Singer Season 14. During the competition’s clues and subsequent exit interviews, Simpson addressed the public humiliation she faced at age 20, which she once feared would define her forever.

“Now it’s something I can laugh about,” Simpson told Entertainment Weekly following her unmasking. She noted that the experience shaped her into the person she is today and that she “would definitely go back” to SNL if given the opportunity. This renewed interest in performing follows her success on the masked singing show, where she impressed judges and audiences with her vocals while concealed in an elaborate galaxy-themed costume. Simpson also confirmed that she is currently working on new music, marking a significant professional comeback as she moves past the “technical difficulties” of her early career.

U2 has marked Good Friday, April 3, 2026, with the surprise release of a new six-song EP titled Easter Lily. The digital-only project serves as a reflective companion to February's Ash Wednesday release, Days of Ash. While the previous EP was described by the band as a reaction to global chaos, Easter Lily is a more personal and introspective set exploring themes of friendship, loss, and renewal. The collection was produced by Jacknife Lee and includes a closing soundscape, "COEXIST (I Will Bless The Lord At All Times?)," created in collaboration with Brian Eno.

The EP opens with "Song for Hal," a tribute to the band's longtime friend and music producer Hal Willner, who passed away in 2020. Accompanying the music is a digital edition of the band's fanzine, Propaganda, featuring sleeve notes and a conversation between Bono and Franciscan friar Richard Rohr.

According to reports from Russian news agencies, the indictment centers on charges related to the "offending of religious feelings," a criminal offense that has frequently been used to target the feminist punk collective since their 2012 protest in Moscow’s Cathedral of Christ the Saviour. Every item in the collection has been inspected, cleaned, and features a commemorative sticker on the outer sleeve to mark its provenance.

The event is being coordinated by shop owner Lisa Schaffer in conjunction with the Pierre Robert estate. In addition to the standard records and CDs available for purchase, several rare items will be auctioned off, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting charity.
