Taking to social media, Rockett lent his full support to the singer's decision to leave the "Freedom 250" concert series on the National Mall, which has experienced a near-total lineup collapse since its reveal. While acknowledging that he and Michaels frequently disagree on various internal matters, Rockett fiercely blasted internet commenters who have weaponized the cancellation to attack the vocalist's character or career, stating definitively that doing what is right for the situation does not make Michaels a coward.
