To mark the one-year anniversary of Ozzy Osbourne’s passing on July 22nd, Jack Osbourne is encouraging fans around the world to celebrate his father's unmatched legacy by sharing their favorite memories online.

In a video message posted to Instagram, Jack acknowledged the emotional weight of reaching the one-year milestone, encouraging the global metal community to honor the Prince of Darkness through storytelling rather than mourning.

"I want to fill the entire day, July 22, with just awesome Ozzy stories," Jack shared. "Whether it's the first time you listened to his music, the first time you saw him play live, or a time you saw him play live where something stood out to you. Or you had an actual encounter with him... That's what I want."

Jack urged fans to use the hashtag #OzzyDay on social media so he and the Osbourne family can read through the posts,noting that celebrating with love and high energy is exactly what his dad would have wanted.

The free, citywide tribute features a full lineup of events honoring the Black Sabbath frontman's deep connections to the city where heavy metal was born. Highlights across Birmingham include:

Live Musical Tributes: Bostin Brass—the band that led Ozzy's funeral procession through the city in 2025—is delivering pop-up performances of classic Sabbath and solo Ozzy tracks at key landmarks, including the Black Sabbath Bench and New Street Station. The City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO) is also performing a special Ozzy-themed lunchtime set at the Bullring.

Museum & Photo Exhibitions: The Ozzy Osbourne: Working Class Hero exhibition at the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery now features the iconic throne Ozzy performed on during Black Sabbath's final reunion show at Villa Park. Additionally, a dedicated Back To The Beginning photo exhibition has opened at Grand Central.

Interactive Fan Remembrances: The Birmingham Music Archive is collecting fan stories and reflections in a commemorative guestbook at New Street Station, alongside free Polaroid photo opportunities with a specially decorated "Ozzy the Bull."

Citywide Trails: Fans are taking part in the official Black Sabbath trail—visiting iconic sites like The Crown pub, where Earth (pre-Black Sabbath) played their first show in 1969—as well as a charity "Ozzy Walk" from Villa Park to Broad Street raising funds for the homeless.

Rock supergroup Hollywood Vampires—featuring Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp, Joe Perry, and Tommy Henriksen—have officially released "Ace Of Spades" as the second single from their upcoming live album, At Montreux Jazz Festival.

Recorded during the band's appearance at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland back in 2018, the blistering performance pays homage to Motörhead frontman and rock 'n' roll icon Lemmy Kilmister. The release is accompanied by a live concert video captured during the show, highlighting the supergroup's raw chemistry on stage.

"Lemmy was one of a kind," the band shared in a statement. "'Ace Of Spades' remains one of the defining songs in rock history, and this performance honors his legacy."

The track serves as a cornerstone of the upcoming live record, staying true to Hollywood Vampires' core mission since their 2015 debut: celebrating and preserving the music of late rock legends. Footage has surfaced of Spiritbox frontwoman Courtney LaPlante stopping the band's show to have an aggressive concertgoer removed from the crowd during their July 15th concert at the Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre in Phoenix, Arizona.

The incident occurred just before the band's set-closing track "Soft Spine." After drummer Zev Rose spotted an attendee physically assaulting others in the pit and knocking a fan down, LaPlante immediately halted the performance to address the situation directly from the stage.

"We’re not gonna play another song and this show is not gonna continue until we make sure everybody out there is safe," LaPlante told the crowd. "So I need you guys to be tattletales, who’s the fucking freak that’s hurting everybody? Point him out… Guess what fucker, we all saw you, and we know where you are. Your ass is gonna get kicked the fuck out."

After checking in on the injured concertgoer and confirming venue security was removing the individual, LaPlante reminded the audience of proper mosh pit etiquette.

"This isn't the damn gold medal karate match, ok? This is a rock n’ roll show," LaPlante added, reminding the crowd that safety comes first and to always pick up anyone who falls down in the pit.

Marilyn Manson has officially released the Henri Alexander Levy-directed music video for "Front Toward Enemy," the second single off his upcoming album One Assassination Under God - Chapter 2.

Co-written and co-produced alongside Tyler Bates, the new 9-track album is set to arrive on August 14th via Nuclear Blast Records—just days before Manson kicks off his late summer co-headlining tour with Rob Zombie. The new single follows June's lead track "Exit Wound," continuing the sonic evolution from 2024's One Assassination Under God - Chapter 1.

Taylor Momsen recently reflected on the raw, uncensored mindset behind the band's fifth studio album, Dear God, released last month via Fearless Records.

In an interview with the JJO Discover New Music Podcast, Momsen shared that the songwriting on Dear God pulled straight from her personal life without filter or calculation. "This record is very much almost... It's ripped almost directly from my diary," Momsen revealed. "There's an uncensored-ness to it, which I had to kind of look at—I never thought of it until, like, the day before it came out, and then I went, 'Ah, this is quite exposing. But all right. We're in it. Here we go.' 'Cause I make music and write songs for me."

The band opted to produce the album in-house alongside Jonathan Wyman and guitarist Ben Phillips. Following the tragic passing of their longtime producer Kato Khandwala—whom Momsen described as the band's "fifth member"—the group chose to maintain their core production team rather than bringing in outside influences.

The album's release follows a streak of success, including lead single "For I Am Death" becoming the group's eighth Mainstream Rock Radio No. 1. The Pretty Reckless is currently on the road for their headlining Dear God tour, which follows a massive two-year global run opening for AC/DC on their Power Up tour.

Russian deathcore titans Slaughter To Prevail have unveiled a teaser for their upcoming music video for the track "Koschei," pulled from their latest album GRIZZLY.

Directed by Ave Senshi, the clip dives headfirst into a brutal world of swords and sorcery, matching the track's mythological inspiration. In Slavic folklore, Koschei is a villainous sorcerer known as "Koschei the Deathless," making the barbaric fantasy aesthetic a fitting backdrop for the band's signature heavy sound.

Following the passing of his mother, noted activist Mary Morello, at age 102 on July 12th, Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello has officially launched The Mary Morello Memorial Project. The initiative aims to carry forward her lifelong legacy of advocating for peace, justice, and free expression, which famously included founding the anti-censorship organization Parents For Rock And Rap in the late 1980s.

Through the newly established project, the Morello family is inviting friends, family, and supporters to honor Mary’s memory both through charitable donations and direct community involvement. Between now and October 1st—which would have marked her 103rd birthday—Tom is urging people to engage in "caring, service & action" by volunteering, protesting, speaking out, walking picket lines, or creating political art and music. Supporters are encouraged to share their efforts on Instagram by tagging @MaryMorelloMemorialProject.

The memorial project directly supports various causes and organizations that were deeply meaningful to Mary throughout her life. This includes humanitarian and social relief efforts like Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF), The Midnight Mission, All Chicago, and Corazón con Cuba, as well as community advocacy groups such as the UFW Foundation, Jail Guitar Doors USA, Center for Native American Youth (CNAY), and animal rescue organization Orphans of the Storm.

Beastie Boys co-founder Mike D is heavily expanding his return to the live stage. Following the initial announcement of a tight five-show run, the legendary artist has added 10 new dates apiece in North America and Europe for his upcoming tour with his live band, Mike D 5D.

The family-and-friends outfit features Will Graefe, Eddie and Milo Ruscha, and Mike D's sons, Skyler and Davis Diamond. The upcoming trek supports his debut solo studio album, Thank You, which is set to drop on August 28th via Capitol Records. Marking the first full-length album release from a Beastie Boys member since 2011's Hot Sauce Committee Part Two, the record explores post-electronic grooves, analog synth beats, and garage-punk energy across 13 tracks.

The tour officially kicks off in Boston on August 30th—just two days after the album hits shelves—before routing across major markets in the US, Canada, the UK, and Europe through November.
