Speaking backstage at the UK's Download Festival with Rock Sound's James Wilson-Taylor, Hollywood Undead vocalist Johnny 3 Tears dropped a massive update regarding the band's release strategy, confirming that a brand-new studio album is officially slated to arrive at the beginning of next year. Furthermore, the frontman cleared up some confusion regarding their massive string of recent musical outputs, revealing that none of the hit tracks they have dropped over the past several months will actually appear on the forthcoming record.

"We'll put a new record out at the beginning of next year, it looks like," Johnny 3 Tears revealed. "So we're probably not gonna drop any songs till then, or maybe another song. But none of the songs we put out [in recent months] will be on the record. Those are all just releases, standalone songs." The singer applauded rock music's recent structural shift toward mimicking hip-hop and pop release cycles by pushing out consistent standalone tracks rather than waiting multiple years between album cycles. "For a long time, you had to wait two years to put out material, till the record ran its course. Now we'll just put out songs... we wrote it. Why not?"

The definitive confirmation means that massive Sumerian Records hits like their October 2024 debut "Hollywood Forever," 2025's dark anthem "SAVIOR," the Slayer-sampling "1x1," and the Jeris Johnson-assisted "All My Friends" exist purely as an independent creative era. The announcement lands directly on the heels of their latest standalone drop, "Feels Like Home"—a bruised, deeply melodic anthem dealing with pain and belonging.

The multi-platinum rap-rock powerhouse is currently closing out an extensive European summer festival trek before heading back stateside for a packed domestic schedule. Fans will have plenty of opportunities to catch the masked icons live before the new album drops, as Hollywood Undead are officially set to co-headline the highly anticipated return of the legendary Taste of Chaos tour this fall alongside In This Moment, with support from I See Stars, Vana, and Melrose Avenue kicking off on September 22nd.

Daughtry frontman Chris Daughtry has officially confirmed that the band is already hard at work on their next full-length studio album, joining forces with highly acclaimed British musician, producer, and songwriter Jordan Fish. Speaking with Rock Sound's James Wilson-Taylor backstage at Download Festival, the singer revealed that the upcoming LP will serve as the official follow-up to 2021's Dearly Beloved and will mark their first batch of completely fresh material since capping off their recent multi-part era.

"We are in the writing process," Chris Daughtry enthusiastically shared. "I can say this, 'cause I posted about it, but I'm working with Jordan Fish. And we are a few songs deep right now. And it's going amazing. So we're getting back together later in the year to finish writing. Yeah, it's exciting... There's some heat. I'm just going ahead and let you know, there's some heat going on."

Praising the former Bring Me The Horizon member's distinct production style, Daughtry pointed to Fish's recent studio work on Evanescence's brand-new record Sanctuary as the perfect example of his collaborative philosophy. "You can hear some Jordan Fish-isms, but it's clearly an Evanescence record," Daughtry noted. "I think it's great that he keeps that in mind with who he's working with, as a fan of the band and really bringing out the best in what they already do. So, I think that's the goal with us as well."

The new writing sessions arrive right on the heels of the band's June 5th vinyl-exclusive launch of Shock To The System (Deluxe) via Big Machine Rock. The massive double-LP collection beautifully unified the full scope of the band's recent two-part EP project—which tackled heavy themes of grief, recovery, and self-reclamation—alongside bonus live tracks. The era proved to be a massive commercial and critical triumph for the 21st-century rock staples, earning Daughtry their first-ever No. 1 single at Active Rock radio with the industrial-tinged track "Artificial," followed by another chart-topper with "Pieces," and landing Chris Daughtry the title of Billboard's "Most Played Artist" at active rock.

Rock icon Rod Stewart has landed in hot water with his fanbase after being spotted celebrating at a FIFA World Cup soccer match less than 24 hours after abruptly canceling a major California tour stop due to an alleged vocal illness. The 81-year-old singer was scheduled to take the stage at the North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre in San Diego on Friday night, June 12th, as part of his high-profile "One Last Time" farewell tour. However, ticketholders were stunned when organizers officially axed the gig just 40 minutes before it was set to begin.

Initial statements from live event organizers blamed a sudden sinus infection, and Stewart later posted an apology on social media, clarifying that doctors had diagnosed him with an acute upper respiratory infection and severe laryngitis that rendered him physically unable to sing. While most fans were initially understanding of the last-minute medical emergency, that goodwill completely evaporated on Saturday morning. Stewart took to Instagram to post a high-energy video of himself boarding a private jet with his sons, enthusiastically singing "No Scotland, no party!" as they flew across the country to Boston to watch Scotland play Haiti.

The post instantly sparked fierce backlash online, with hundreds of furious, disappointed concertgoers questioning how the singer could appear entirely energetic, active, and vocally strong while thousands of fans in San Diego were left stranded at the venue. Fueling the fire, widespread photos and video footage from the stadium in New England showed a smiling Stewart draped in Scottish colors in the stands, with multiple alcoholic beverages visible in front of him.

A representative for the legendary artist quickly stepped in to defend the cancellation to The San Diego Union-Tribune, insisting the medical diagnosis was entirely genuine. According to the rep, Stewart was physically present at the venue on Friday and underwent multiple rounds of emergency steroid treatments in a desperate bid to get his vocal cords functioning. "Evidently, [the steroids] kicked in, but too late for the show," the representative explained. Despite the explanation, frustrated fans are continuing to …
Tragedy has struck the music world as eccentric alternative pop star, producer, and comedian Oliver Tree has died at the age of 32 following a catastrophic helicopter accident in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. According to local civil aviation authorities and CNN Brasil, the collision occurred on Sunday morning over the Recreio dos Bandeirantes neighborhood in Rio's western zone. Two helicopters collided mid-air, with one plummeting into an electric vehicle dealership lot, igniting an intense electrical fire that was eventually subdued by emergency responders.

Tragically, authorities have confirmed there are no survivors from the incident, which claimed a total of six lives. Local police reports indicate that Oliver Tree (born Oliver Tree Nickell) was traveling with four other individuals in one of the aircraft. The victims on board that helicopter have been identified as passengers Lucas Vignale, Gaspar Prim, and Lucas Brito Chaves, alongside pilot Alexandre Souza. The sole occupant of the second helicopter, pilot Charles Marsillac, also perished in the crash. An official, comprehensive investigation by Brazilian aviation authorities and the Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro is currently underway to determine the exact mechanics and cause of the mid-air disaster.

The shocking news cuts short the life of one of the modern music landscape's most genuinely unique visual and sonic provocateurs. Tree first broke into the industry in 2010 as a teenager working alongside electronic heavyweights Skrillex and Zeds Dead before taking a temporary hiatus to study music technology. He skyrocketed to global viral fame with the release of his gold-certified 2020 debut studio album, Ugly Is Beautiful, spearheaded by the multi-platinum, chart-topping smash hit single "Life Goes On." Known for his signature bowl cut, oversized JNCO jeans, and elaborate performance art alter-egos, he continuously blurred the lines between music and comedy across subsequent records Cowboy Tears and Alone in a Crowd.

The multi-talented artist was in South America as part of his ongoing global tour cycle, having just performed a major show in São Paulo eight days prior. The tragic accident occurred …
Speaking backstage on Saturday, June 13th at the UK's Download Festival in Donington Park, Trivium frontman Matt Heafy dropped a massive update regarding the band's highly anticipated eleventh studio album. Currently scheduled for a tentative late 2026 release, the upcoming LP will mark the band's very first full-length effort to feature elite powerhouse drummer Alex Rüdinger (formerly of Whitechapel), who officially stepped behind the kit last October to replace Alex Bent. According to Heafy, the newly unified lineup is currently sitting on an absolute masterpiece.

"We have Rudi now on drums, who we tried to get 10 years ago," Heafy told Rock Sound. "And for those 10 years, he told us that he wondered and regretted every day not being in the band. And now we finally have him. We're sitting on arguably our greatest album of all time. It's not out yet. We're still mixing it. So I think this is a new chapter." Heafy revealed that the band immediately threw Rüdinger into the deep end on his first day at their Hangar Studios in Orlando, Florida, forcing him to collaboratively write brand-new music from scratch rather than just practicing the existing live set list.

The songwriting explosion effectively altered the trajectory of the material initially captured on their Struck Dead three-song EP, which dropped via Roadrunner Records last autumn. Bassist Paolo Gregoletto and guitarist Corey Beaulieu explained that the tracking sessions—which channeled the raw, heavy energy of their landmark album Ascendancy—were originally intended to kick off the next full record. However, when their high-profile "The Poisoned Ascendancy" co-headlining tour with Bullet For My My Valentine wrapped up earlier than anticipated, the band chose to pivot, preserving those tracks as a standalone musical time capsule so they could start entirely fresh with Rüdinger.

Promising that fans attending Download would witness a completely evolved, sharper, and reinvigorated band compared to their appearance at Bloodstock last August, Heafy made it clear that Trivium is operating at an unprecedented creative peak. "It's a completely different Trivium now. Better than ever in every single facet of …
All That Remains vocalist Phil Labonte has doubled down on his controversial political stances, claiming that society is actively failing young men and declaring that traditional mental health therapy is fundamentally useless for males. Appearing on a new episode of Today’s Boondoggle Podcast, the outspoken metalcore frontman—who recently shifted his public alignment from libertarianism toward right-wing independent politics—outlined what he perceives as a "silent crisis" stripping men of their foundational purpose.

Expanding on a previous op-ed he penned for Fox News, Labonte argued that three decades of media representation, rising divorce rates, and left-wing feminist ideals have caused young men to completely check out of society, anesthetize themselves with substances, and abandon dating. The vocalist also took aim at career-oriented women, stating, "The idea that a woman can be the boss babe and a mother at the same time is a total lie. You cannot do both." He linked these cultural shifts directly to rising male depression and suicide rates, endorsing a pending piece of House legislation that aims to establish a dedicated White House council on fathers and sons.

When addressing solutions for male mental health, Labonte fiercely rejected modern clinical practices in favor of traditional gender roles. "The idea that men can go to therapy and that’s gonna solve their problems is ridiculous. Therapy is for women," Labonte asserted. "Men don’t solve their problems by talking. Men solve their problems through action. So men should be doing things with other men, like building things, going out and fixing cars, whatever it is... Broadly, men are different than women, and they need different things to make them feel emotionally fulfilled."

Today, the rock and metal communities are throwing it down in celebration of the birthday of one of the hardest-working, most technically gifted drummers in modern heavy music: Korn's rhythmic powerhouse, Ray Luzier. Born on June 14th, 1970, the ultra-dynamic percussionist has spent nearly two decades anchoring the groove for the multi-platinum nu-metal pioneers, seamlessly stepping into the lineup and injecting their legendary catalog with an extra dose of precision, intensity, and blistering double-bass energy.

Before permanently locking down the drum throne for Korn in 2009, Luzier had already built a formidable reputation as an elite, first-call heavy hitter across the rock landscape. His impressive pedigree includes an extensive, decade-long run driving the live band for rock royalty David Lee Roth, alongside standout stints with Army of Anyone and progressive metal supergroup KXM. Known for his signature hyper-animated playing style, meticulous stick work, and massive stadium-ready snare crack, Luzier remains a massive source of inspiration for drummers worldwide. As Korn continues to dominate festival stages and push sonic boundaries globally, fans everywhere are raising a pair of sticks today to toast the relentless energy and monster talent of a true master of the craft.

Killswitch Engage frontman Jesse Leach has opened up about a major evolution in his personal beliefs, revealing that he has officially stopped calling himself a Christian. Speaking in a candid new interview with Pennsylvania publication The Morning Call, the metalcore vocalist explained that while his religious upbringing still acts as a constant creative muse, he now identifies with a broader, more humble spiritual mindset after decades of traveling the world and witnessing the negative impacts of organized faith.

"I was raised in a very evangelical home, but we've all changed quite a bit. I stopped calling myself a Christian," Leach admitted to the publication. "I believe I am a spiritual being. I've humbled myself because I think there's a bit of arrogance in telling somebody you know the absolute truth. The more I've traveled, the more my worldview has changed. It's an acceptance that I don't have the answers, but I'm going to continue to search until the day I die."

While Leach still holds fast to positive core tenets like showing love, taking care of the poor, and being mindful of neighbors, he noted that the darker side of organized religion continues to fuel his songwriting as a form of protest. The singer blasted the hypocrisy, manipulation, and abuse of power he has witnessed within the church, specifically pointing to preachers who weaponize their pulpits to condemn marginalized groups. "The human element of organized religion is what destroys, I believe, any semblance of what a God would be," Leach expanded. "If God is truly love like a lot of religions claim, all of this segregation, separation and judgment we're doing is a total antithesis of what love is."

The thought-provoking commentary arrives as the band maintains a highly demanding live schedule. Killswitch Engage are currently traversing the United States on a massive heavy metal package tour alongside Machine Head, Iron Reagan, and Havok. The extensive trek is slated to keep the veteran metalcore outfit on the road for the remainder of the year, with upcoming festival appearances and international tour legs booked across Canada and Australia.

Evanescence avoided a major live disaster during their Friday night performance at the MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa, Florida. Exactly nine songs into the band's headlining set, a pyrotechnics display on the right side of the stage accidentally malfunctioned, causing the surrounding curtains and a portion of the overhead stagework to catch fire. The incident sparked right as the group was launching into "Calm Down," a standout track from their newly released sixth studio album, Sanctuary.

Remarkably, a quick-thinking stagehand instantly rushed into the frame on video, successfully subduing and extinguishing the spreading flames within seconds using what appeared to be a standard water bottle. Thanks to the crew member's lightning-fast reflexes, frontwoman Amy Lee and the rest of the band didn't even have to interrupt their performance. The transition was so seamless that the vast majority of fans in attendance at the packed amphitheater reportedly had no idea a dangerous mishap had even taken place.

The high-profile Tampa stop marked the second official date of Evanescence's massive 2026 World Tour, which kicked off just one night prior in West Palm Beach. The extensive global trek—which Lee has promised features the biggest production and longest setlists of the band's career—is hitting major markets across North America through early August alongside special guests Spiritbox and Nova Twins before heading overseas to Europe in September.

Limp Bizkit officially made history on Friday night, June 12th, shutting down the UK's legendary Download Festival with a massive, career-first headlining slot. The monumental performance marks a major milestone for the band, who famously drew the single largest crowd of the entire weekend at the exact same festival two years prior, despite only being billed second from the top of the lineup at the time.

True to form, the band tore through a high-octane, crowd-frenzied setlist packed with generation-defining anthems like "Break Stuff," "Rollin'," and their iconic cover of George Michael's "Faith." Frontman Fred Durst commanded the massive festival crowd while sporting a ridiculous new wig—a theatrical staple fans have come to expect from a modern Bizkit show. Adding to the night's highlights, the band welcomed American singer-songwriter Lauren Sanderson onstage for an explosive rendition of "Hot Dog." The onstage team-up follows a string of recent high-profile side quests for Durst, who lent a guest verse to a new version of Sanderson's single "COME SAY SUM" this past May, right alongside his feature on MGK's new track "FIX UR FACE."

The historic UK festival triumph lands directly on the heels of the band's mega-performance at Germany's Rock am Ring and a major business move. After recently taking to social media to blast a fraudulent bootleg apparel operation, warning fans that the site was "FAKE AS A MF," the band officially launched 'Morning Boy UFO'—a brand-new, authorized apparel drop for their official 'Schtuff' merchandise line. With their definitive online store finally live, Limp Bizkit is keeping their foot on the gas as they prepare for a historic winter, which will see the band head to South Africa on Sunday, December 13th, for a highly anticipated debut stadium performance at Johannesburg's FNB Stadium.

Diamond-certified alternative metal titans Evanescence officially kicked off their highly anticipated 2026 world tour with a massive, surprise-filled performance at the iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach, Florida. Frontwoman Amy Lee and company pulled out all the stops for the opening night, loading the 21-song setlist with a staggering number of live debuts. Chief among the night's biggest surprises was the long-overdue live premiere of "Like You," a deeply emotional, non-single track from the band's 2006 double-platinum sophomore studio album, The Open Door, which had never been performed live in the two decades since its release.

The blockbuster concert served as the ultimate live launching pad for the band's sixth studio album, Sanctuary, which officially arrived just last week via BMG. Refusing to ease fans into the new era, Evanescence remarkably performed all 12 tracks from the new record over the course of the evening. The show opened with a heavy-hitting introductory sequence featuring the live debuts of the album's title track, "Tell Me When You've Had Enough," and the recent hit single "Afterlife," before later weaving in fresh anthems like "Rapture," "Self Destruct," "Calm Down," and the cinematic slow-burn closer "Wide Open Heart."

Adding to the historic energy of the tour opener, the night also featured an elite, star-studded collaborative moment during the encore. Spiritbox vocalist Courtney LaPlante and members of the Nova Twins—who are joining forces with the band as primary support acts on the global trek—stormed the stage to join Lee for an explosive, high-octane rendition of the non-album track "Fight Like a Girl." Backed by massive new stage production and a setlist that seamlessly bridged nostalgia with their boldest electronic-tinged rock material to date, Evanescence proved they are entering their latest chapter at the absolute height of their powers.

Godsmack have recruited world-renowned virtuoso and former Dream Theater drummer Mike Mangini to handle percussion duties for the remainder of their massive "The Rise of Rock" tour. The high-profile lineup adjustment comes on the heels of the abrupt departure of filling drummer Wade Murff, who exited the camp after only a dozen shows to temporarily join Black Veil Brides overseas. Mangini didn't waste any time getting to work, making his triumphant live debut with the group on Friday night, June 12th, at the Morton Amphitheater in Riverside, Missouri.

Fan-filmed footage from the Missouri tour stop caught the newly minted "Godsmack 2.0" lineup—featuring frontman Sully Erna, bassist Robbie Merrill, and newly minted full-time guitarist Sam Koltun—firing on all cylinders with Mangini anchoring the rhythm section. The sudden shift marks a wild turn of events for the tour, especially considering Murff had posted enthusiastically about continuing the trek with Godsmack just hours before suddenly jetting off to Munich, Germany, to fill in for Christian "CC" Coma on Black Veil Brides' European run.

In Mangini, Godsmack has secured one of the most technically accomplished drummers in modern heavy music. The Berklee College of Music professor famously spent 13 years driving progressive metal icons Dream Theater before parting ways with the band in late 2023 to make room for original founding drummer Mike Portnoy. Backed by an illustrious hard rock resume that includes mid-90s stints with Extreme and guitar deity Steve Vai, Mangini’s world-class chops are poised to seamlessly preserve the heavy, driving groove that Godsmack's catalog demands for the rest of their summer slate alongside Stone Temple Pilots and Dorothy.

Genre-blending music star MGK has officially returned with his latest collaborative single, “Crash First,” teaming up with rising artist honestav. The emotionally raw track showcases a compelling sonic shift, beginning with MGK and honestav trading intimate, vulnerable verses over a stripped-back acoustic guitar before transitioning into a surge of driving, palm-muted pop-punk riffs. The cinematic music video for the track is officially live and available to watch now on YouTube.

The collaboration carries a deeply personal weight for both musicians, who bonded over shared experiences of family heartbreak. Reflecting on the emotional core of the release, MGK shared a poignant note with fans in an Instagram post, writing, “Our dead dads prolly high fiving rn.” The heavy themes are channeled into a powerful, cathartic anthem that marks yet another entry in MGK’s highly active collaborative streak. The singer has been consistently joining forces with cross-genre heavyweights lately, recently dropping the aggressive track “FIX UR FACE” featuring Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst, as well as the nostalgia-fueled joint project The Blog Era Boyz EP alongside Wiz Khalifa.

The brand-new single arrives right in the middle of a major domestic touring cycle. MGK is currently trekking across the United States on a massive headlining run in support of his hit 2025 studio album, Lost Americana. The live shows have been packed with unexpected moments and deep-cut energy, including a recent stop in Pittsburgh where the singer surprised the crowd by launching into a high-energy cover of Nickelback’s classic anthem “Rockstar.”

Today marks the 56th birthday of Weezer's brilliant, eccentric, and fiercely creative mastermind, Rivers Cuomo. Born on June 13th, 1970, the celebrated singer, songwriter, and guitarist has spent more than three decades serving as the primary creative engine behind some of the most defining alternative and power-pop music in rock history. From the generation-defining hooks of 1994's Blue Album and the raw, introspective cult-classic architecture of 1996's Pinkerton, straight through to modern radio mainstays, Cuomo has continuously pushed the boundaries of traditional rock songwriting with a brilliant mixture of vulnerable lyricism, heavy guitar riffs, and indelible pop sensibilities.

Known just as much for his technological curiosity, vast catalog of unreleased demos, and unique fan interactions as he is for his massive hits like "Buddy Holly," "Say It Ain't So," and "Island in the Sun," Cuomo remains a vital and incredibly prolific force in the modern music landscape. As Weezer continues to pack out venues worldwide and surprise audiences with their relentless studio output, fans and musicians globally are raising a glass today to celebrate the lasting legacy and quirky genius of a true rock original.

Five Finger Death Punch bassist and vocalist Chris Kael has publicly slammed hardcore band End It following a highly controversial incident involving a fan in a banana costume at a recent concert in Toronto, Ontario. During End It's opening set last weekend, frontman Akil Godsey singled out the costumed concertgoer—identified as Scott from Toronto—warning him from the stage that "he was asking for attention, now you got it". Godsey then offered the band’s setlist to anyone in the audience who tore the costume apart. A portion of the crowd quickly complied, physically ripping the banana suit off the fan and tossing it around.

Appearing on the Beardo & Weirdo show hosted by Kael and comedian Craig Gass, the concertgoer—who suffered no significant injuries—revealed he had actually attended the show to see headliners Terror, not End It. He noted that End It made no attempt to apologize or offer merch after the set. "I think you can see my happiness as he calls me and I reach for a handshake and he goes, ‘No, no, no. You don’t get rewarded,'" the fan recalled of the sudden escalation.

The footage quickly sparked intense online discourse, prompting a fierce reaction from Kael, who grew up in the hardcore scenes of Lexington, Cincinnati, and Las Vegas. Kael called out the band for perceived hypocrisy, pointing to anti-violence statements Godsey made directly after inciting the crowd to attack a paying fan. "That is insane to me," Kael stated. "I’ve seen fights in the crowd, sure, but nothing ever incited by the band... We are all family. Whether it’s a metal show, whether it’s a hardcore show, people like him, he’s paid you money to come out and see the show. Have some respect and love for your fans".

To remedy the situation, Kael personally extended a VIP invite to the fan for an upcoming Five Finger Death Punch show in Toronto, promising free merchandise and a safe space to wear the banana costume again if he chooses. "To see something like that happen to someone in our community, I was outraged," Kael concluded. In the wake of the mounting backlash, End It has yet to issue a public statement, though the band's Facebook profile has vanished and they have reported…
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees Def Leppard have officially premiered a spectacular live performance video for their latest single, "Rejoice," captured live during their monumental third Sin City stint, Def Leppard Live At Caesars Palace: The Las Vegas Residency. The 12-show run, which took place this past February, marked the British rock legends' debut at the prestigious, 4,300-seat venue The Colosseum, following massively successful, sold-out residencies in 2013 and 2019.

The energy inside the theater pushed the stadium-rock veterans to unprecedented performance heights. Speaking with Rockin' 101's The Johnny Rock Show, guitarist Phil Collen revealed that the residency permanently altered the band's internal dynamic. "I honestly think that... two of them were probably of the best five shows we've ever done in our career," Collen marvelled. "Honestly, as I've said, night 12 at Caesars Palace was probably the best gig we've ever done. There's a handful of shows that were amazing. When we played Wembley Stadium, that was one of them... but I absolutely, honestly think that night 12 at Vegas was probably the best show we've ever done. It took us to another level — the singing, the playing, the camaraderie."

To match the prestige of the venue, Def Leppard completely overhauled their live presentation. Frontman Joe Elliott revealed to People that they scrapped the stage architecture used over their last six major tours to construct an entirely new visual experience. "The production is massive. It's the best we've ever had by a country mile," Elliott told ABC Audio. The band coupled the "insanely different" aesthetics with a high-reward setlist that combined brand-new material like "Rejoice" with deep cuts that hadn't seen the light of day in decades, including the Adrenalize standout "White Lightning," which had been completely absent from their sets since the 1990s. The stunning new live concert clip is officially available to stream online now.

The Darkness frontman Justin Hawkins has spoken out candidly regarding the growing prevalence of mobile devices at live shows, admitting that he finds it incredibly dull to perform when an audience is buried in their screens. Speaking on a new episode of his popular YouTube channel, Justin Hawkins Rides Again, the veteran vocalist addressed indie-pop star Phoebe Bridgers's recent announcement that her upcoming "The Lost Tour" will mandate a completely phone-free environment by utilizing locking Yondr pouches. Hawkins revealed that while he has seriously considered implementing a similar policy for his own band, the financial overhead and logistical hurdles have proven somewhat impractical for their current operations.

Reflecting on his own 30-year career on stage, Hawkins noted how drastically the live atmosphere has shifted from fans being entirely in the moment to viewing spectacles through a digital lens. He recalled a literal stage-diving disaster in Luxembourg where fans failed to catch him because they were too busy filming, and admitted he frequently stops the band's multi-platinum anthem, "I Believe in a Thing Called Love," when the energy suddenly dies. "All the phones come out, and so often I have to stop the song because it's, like, 'Fucking hell, where's the vibe gone?'" Hawkins explained. "Actually take part in the experience of it, connect with the band that you've paid that money to go and see... For me, it's boring to play to them."

The flamboyant rock icon isn't alone in his stance, as the active rock and metal communities have increasingly spearheaded the anti-phone movement. Heavy hitters like Tool enforce strict, zero-tolerance policies until their final song, while Iron Maiden actively requested fans pocket their devices on their newly launched "Run For Your Lives" world tour. Hawkins pointed directly to theatrical Swedish metal titans Ghost—who completely banned phones across their massive 2025 and 2026 tour cycles following the filming of their Rite Here Rite Now concert movie—as a primary example of how a phone-free room elevates the music. "I went to see Ghost, actually, and it is a really spectacular viewing experience," Hawkins prai…
A powerhouse collective of heavy music veterans have officially joined forces to launch a new outfit called With A Vengeance, sharing a blistering first teaser for their upcoming debut single, “Shared Light.” The group has locked in an official premiere date of July 17th for the track's accompanying music video, marking the first time the full piece will be heard. The project's origins are deeply rooted in a massive behind-the-scenes business maneuver; the band originally formed when frontman Tommy Vext and guitarist Chris Cain attempted to acquire the official legal rights to the Bad Wolves name to launch a full-scale relaunch of that band. However, after a reported seven-figure deal ultimately fell through, the duo shifted gears and chose to build an entirely new creative entity from the ground up.

To round out the sonic landscape of the new endeavor, Vext and Cain have assembled an elite, virtuoso-level backing lineup of familiar scene mainstays. The complete With A Vengeance roster features renowned progressive guitar wizard Angel Vivaldi, alongside groove-heavy bassist Xander Raymond Charles and powerhouse drummer Austin D’Amond—an accomplished percussionist recognized for his time behind the kit in Chimaira, Bleed The Sky, and Verona On Venus.

While specific details regarding a larger full-length studio record or future touring itineraries are still developing, the impending summer release of "Shared Light" marks a highly anticipated statement of intent from the veteran musicians. The quick teaser clip is currently streaming across the band's official channels, showcasing a glimpse of the heavy, melodic metal architecture that fans can expect when the full track and cinematic music video officially land in mid-July.

Alternative rock powerhouse Des Rocs—the moniker of New York artist Danny Rocco—has officially returned with his bruising, blistering, and cinematic new studio album, To Hell and Back. Serving as the highly anticipated follow-up to 2023’s acclaimed Dream Machine, the new 11-track collection marks a determined, fearless climb into the towering heights of classic hard rock maximalism. Driven by the explosive momentum of its lead single, “The Juice,” the full record is available now across all digital streaming platforms, with physical collectors able to secure various specialized vinyl and CD formats via the artist's webstore and Amazon.

To achieve the massive scale driving the project, Rocco purposefully pushed back against modern, over-polished studio production methods, opting instead to capture a raw, dangerous sonic landscape. “I wanted to make something that felt huge,” Rocco explained in an official press statement. “A sonic explosion that would hit like a freight train. But more than anything, I wanted to capture the natural energy of the band in a way that feels rare now. We recorded the entire album live in the heart of New York City. You can hear the room, the chaos, the humanity in it.”

The arrival of the new album serves as the perfect ammunition for the band's upcoming touring cycle. To properly bring the chaotic energy of To Hell and Back to the international stage, Des Rocs has locked in an extensive itinerary of headlining and festival tour dates across the UK and Europe, scheduled to launch this fall.

Nu-metal veterans Coal Chamber have officially postponed their upcoming performance at the Louder Than Life festival. The announcement comes directly from drummer Mikey “Bug” Cox, who shared a major, deeply positive update regarding his ongoing battle with cancer. Following months of intensive medical scans, tests, and appointments, Cox revealed that he has successfully passed his recent evaluations and received clearance from his medical team to move forward with what is hoped to be his final cancer surgery.

While expressing disappointment over missing the festival appearance, Cox emphasized that the medical milestone is the exact breakthrough his family has been fighting toward. Moving forward, his immediate priority will shift entirely toward the upcoming procedure, his physical recovery, and preparing to safely rejoin his bandmates on stage. In his public statement, Cox extended his immense gratitude to the music community and fans worldwide for the overwhelming wave of love, encouragement, and positive energy that has supported him throughout his health journey.

Black Veil Brides have officially unveiled the theatrical new music video for “Woe and Pain,” the latest single from their seventh studio album, VINDICATE. Directed to match the dark, dramatic energy of the track, the newly released performance clip finds frontman Andy Biersack and company delivering a characteristically high-impact performance surrounded by thick, rolling fog. The brooding cinematic visual is officially available to watch now on YouTube.

The track is a standout cut from VINDICATE, which officially dropped this past May. The new album marks the latest conceptual milestone in the band's career, also featuring the previously released hit rock singles “Bleeders” and the heavy-hitting title track. The record continues to push the band's trademark blend of soaring melodic choruses and aggressive, guitar-driven metalcore.

The new video arrives at a busy time for the band, who are currently trekking across Europe on a headlining summer tour. The current run has seen the group performing as a temporary four-piece without longtime drummer Christian “CC” Coma, who stepped away from the overseas dates due to personal reasons. However, the band has assured fans that the lineup will be back at full strength soon; CC is officially expected to return to his throne behind the kit when Black Veil Brides launch their highly anticipated North American headlining tour this coming August.

Mexican rock sister-trio The Warning have officially announced that their highly anticipated fourth studio album, Everything's Falling, will arrive in full on August 28th via Lava/Republic Records. Launched alongside a dedicated countdown website, the project marks a bold new creative era for the Monterrey-born band. To celebrate the announcement, the Villarreal sisters have dropped the album's powerful third single, "Ritual," which is available across all digital streaming platforms today.

Driven by haunting melodies, crushing instrumentation, and an unforgettable chorus, "Ritual" explores the fear of losing something good and the innate tendency to anticipate disaster even in moments of happiness. The band channels deep anxiety, obsession, and self-sabotage into what stands as one of their most vulnerable releases to date. "'Ritual' is about the fear of losing something good," the band shared. "Even when life is going well, anxiety can convince you that disaster is right around the corner. It's about getting trapped in those thoughts and letting them keep you from actually living in the moment."

The upcoming full-length serves as a definitive snapshot of personal and creative evolution for Daniela "Dany" (guitar, lead vocals), Paulina "Pau" (drums, vocals), and Alejandra "Ale" Villarreal (bass). Reflecting on the album's core themes, the trio added: "Everything's Falling is a snapshot of where we are in our lives right now. We've grown so much over the past few years, not just as musicians, but as people... At its core, it's about accepting that life can be messy and unpredictable. Things fall apart, plans change, and sometimes you lose your footing. But those moments can teach you the most about yourself." Following the explosive, heavy-hitting releases of "Kerosene" and "Ego" earlier this year, "Ritual" offers the most revealing and emotionally raw look yet at the new record.

The major album announcement lands amidst a massive global ascent for the band. Following a milestone run that earned them a Latin Grammy nomination for "Qué Más Quieres" off 2024's Keep Me Fed and culminated in sold-out shows for 30,000 fans in Mexico City, the sisters are spent mu…
Marilyn Manson has officially unleashed his brand-new single, “Exit Wound,” while confirming the fast-approaching arrival of his next full-length studio album, One Assassination Under God: Chapter 2. Scheduled to hit shelves on August 14th via Nuclear Blast Records, the record serves as the direct second installment to the dark, multi-part conceptual narrative that sparked the singer's massive creative resurgence. The sudden drop continues the rapid-fire artistic output Manson initiated upon returning to the heavy music landscape, refusing to waste any time building upon the sonic foundation he established with his previous effort.

While Manson has kept a tight lid on the exact tracklist and specific thematic elements driving the new material, the arrival of “Exit Wound” offers a stark preview of the next chapter's direction. The single doubles down on the heavy, atmospheric, and deeply introspective soundscapes that characterized his recent singles like “As Sick As The Secrets Within,” “Raise The Red Flag,” and “Sacrilegious.” Rather than treating his modern albums as isolated collections of music, the industrial rock veteran is leaning heavily into long-form, interconnected storytelling, treating the One Assassination Under God series as a massive, unified body of work.

The major album announcement lands at a highly pivotal moment for the influential figure, whose return to active recording and global touring has drawn massive attention from both long-term fans and the wider rock community. With the street date officially locked in for August, the industrial icon is poised to spend the rest of the summer expanding his sprawling narrative universe on the live stage. The new single is officially live across digital streaming platforms, marking the official beginning of Manson's next major creative era.

The worlds of heavy metalcore and aggressive bass music have collided on a massive scale as Spiritbox members Courtney LaPlante and Mike Stringer have joined forces with electronic heavyweights SLANDER and producer VASTIVE for the explosive new collaborative single, “Under My Skin.” Released via Heaven Sent Records, the high-octane track seamlessly fuses thunderous dubstep drops with devastating guitar work and LaPlante's unmistakable vocal dynamics, delivering one of the most ambitious genre-bending releases of the year.

According to the Los Angeles-based electronic duo SLANDER, the journey to officially releasing the track has been a multi-year odyssey. The song has been meticulously road-tested across three separate worldwide tours, racking up placements in more than 300 live sets before ever hitting digital streaming platforms. "It truly has been tested and has hit the mark," the duo shared, while praising the professionalism and intense skill the Spiritbox camp brought to the recording sessions. "They gave the song so much intensity and light... bringing it to new heights that were previously unimaginable. Getting to watch Courtney scream in the studio is something we will never forget. The precision of her vocal performance during recording was astounding."

The track also leans heavily into the signature sonic footprint of guitarist Mike Stringer, who supplied a barrage of massive, heavy riffs and intricate lead lines to anchor the track's aggressive electronic movements. The sonic bridge between the two musical landscapes was fortified by the rising influence of co-producer VASTIVE, whose distinctively raw, festival-ready production style added immense power to the arrangement. For Spiritbox fans, the unexpected crossover serves as yet another prime example of the band's fearless willingness to shatter traditional genre boundaries, proving their aggressive sound is just as potent on a massive electronic festival stage as it is in a traditional rock club.

Slipknot and Stone Sour mastermind Corey Taylor has teamed up with Skid Row bassist Rachel Bolan for a blistering guest feature on Bolan's newly released solo single, “Big Stick.” The high-octane track is a prominent fixture on Bolan's debut solo studio album, Gargoyle Of The Garden State, which officially hit digital streaming platforms today. Adding even more classic rock firepower to the tracking session, the song also features a fiery performance from guitarist Damon Johnson, a veteran axeman revered for his work with Thin Lizzy, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Brother Cane.

The cross-genre collaboration sparked organically after Bolan reached out to Taylor to see if he would be open to jumping on a standalone track. Speaking about the arrangement on the Terri Carr Show, Bolan revealed that the metal frontman enthusiastically agreed to the project blindly, eagerly signing on before he had even heard a single note of the demo. Bolan likened the sonic energy of the final product to the raucous, anthemic output of pioneering UK punk rock mainstays Sham 69, heavily praising Taylor's aggressive vocal choices for adding a completely unique dimension to the instrumentation.

"Corey Taylor’s contribution is fantastic," Bolan shared regarding the session. "Corey’s got such a cool voice for punk rock, his pitch is so perfect. He’s such an amazing, beautiful, incredible singer.” The solo album drop lands right in the pocket of an incredibly active year for both rock stars, as Taylor continues to balance various recording projects and Bolan continues his decades-long tenure guiding the classic catalogs of the heavy metal underground.

Progressive metalcore outfit Silent Planet took a bold, confrontational stance against venue-imposed merchandise fees during their Tuesday night performance in Milan, Italy. Confronted with steep financial demands from the local venue, Alcatraz, the band opted to bypass the traditional vending booth entirely. Instead of selling their apparel, the band brought their inventory straight to the stage, throwing free T-shirts directly into the audience during their live set as a calculated act of protest.

The immediate decision to give away their inventory was sparked by what the band described as a highly exploitative venue policy. In an official statement shared to social media ahead of the June 9th concert, Silent Planet laid out the exact financial barriers they were facing on the ground: “Tonight’s venue in Milan is not allowing us to sell our own merch, and demanding a 25% gross vendor fee (merch rate) and an additional 22% tax. We believe this business model is predatory and cannot afford to lose money on our own merch, especially so far from home." Knowing that international fans had already traveled long distances to attend the gig, frontman Garrett Russell decided to pivot: "So we will be throwing out shirts during the set, and will also provide a discount code for those who wish to purchase our merch online.” Video footage subsequently posted to the band's Instagram highlights Russell tossing clusters of shirts deep into the packed crowd to massive cheers.

The contentious issue of aggressive venue merch cuts—where music halls demand anywhere from 15% to 25% of an artist's gross souvenir sales—has remained a fierce battleground in the modern touring economy, where independent acts heavily rely on physical merchandise to stay financially afloat on the road. While industry giants like Live Nation previously made waves by temporarily pausing merchandise cuts and offering traveling stipends for developing bands at select club-level venues, the practice remains highly widespread globally.

Silent Planet is currently trekking across Europe as the primary support act for The Plot In You. Upon returning to the United States later this summer, the band is schedule…
Grammy-nominated Connecticut hardcore heavyweights Hatebreed have officially announced a worldwide signing with BLKIIBLK Records, a prominent heavy music imprint under Frontiers Records. The newly minted partnership will shepherd the release of the band's highly anticipated tenth studio album, slated to drop this fall. Marking the legendary outfit's first full-length effort since 2020's Weight of the False Self, the upcoming record was steered by acclaimed producer and longtime technical collaborator Zeuss, whose extensive history with the band spans career-defining anthems like "I Will Be Heard" and "Destroy Everything." Frontman Jamey Jasta expressed immense enthusiasm for the new chapter, stating, “BLKIIBLK put together a dream team to get behind the new Hatebreed record and we couldn’t be happier — new label, new horizons, crushing new songs."

The studio reunion with Zeuss allowed the band—consisting of Jasta, drummer Matt Byrne, bassist Chris Beattie, and guitarists Wayne Lozinak and Frank Novinec—to capture an elevated, timeless energy in the live room, with Jasta even teasing an intense new track titled "Decisions Become Destinies." Mike Gitter, Global Head of A&R for Frontiers and Label Head of BLKIIBLK, praised the band's enduring legacy and modern relevance, noting, "Jasta and Hatebreed aren't merely about perseverance — they're about bringing the sound of the extreme to a new level. We're honored to be working together."

The major album announcement lands right as the band prepares for an incredibly demanding summer touring slate. On top of a string of massive European festival appearances and headlining dates, Hatebreed is booked to anchor two separate, highly anticipated U.S. legs of the resurrected Summer Slaughter Tour. "2026 is the year of Hatebreed," drummer Matt Byrne declared. "This juggernaut as we know it is picking up the pace rapidly and is taking no prisoners... We can't wait to see everyone on the road!" While a concrete street date and tracklist have yet to be revealed, the band is encouraging fans to lock into their official social media channels for impending album teasers and launch details.

Canadian rock powerhouses Three Days Grace have officially released the striking new music video for "Don't Wanna Go Home Tonight," the latest standalone single from their hit album Alienation. Directed by prominent filmmaker Matt Barnes, the visual treatment showcases the band's groundbreaking new five-piece lineup. The record, which initially arrived in August 2025 via RCA Records, made global rock headlines by welcoming back original frontman Adam Gontier to share lead vocal duties alongside Matt Walst—marking Gontier's first studio work with the band in over a decade.

The nostalgic theme of the single hits a deeply personal chord for the band's dual frontmen. "It just brings me back to when I was younger and didn't have so much worry or responsibility, and not caring what tomorrow brought," co-vocalist Matt Walst shared regarding the track's inspiration. "We write about all sorts of things that we’re going through or what we see around us, and it's all from a real place... that's why people love Three Days Grace — they can apply themselves to a song. And it's kind of like therapy for them." Drummer Neil Sanderson echoed that emotional weight, describing the overarching architecture of the 12-track album as "a journey through inner collapse and outward defiance."

Navigating a rare two-singer format within the active rock world has proven to be a seamless transition for the tight-knit camp, given that Matt Walst is the younger brother of founding bassist Brad Walst. Reflecting on the delegation of vocal duties in the studio, Gontier noted that their voices naturally blended far better than they could have anticipated. "We're all sort of writing the new stuff together, so we've been sitting in a room together," Gontier explained. "The recording of vocals, who's gonna sing what and where, it's come pretty natural... and working with a couple of different producers on stuff, we did get some guys that would have some good input and just a good idea of what to do with two singers."

The grand reunion cycle originally sparked back in early 2025, when Gontier joined the band on stage full-time for the first time in 12 years as the primary support act for Disturbed…
Pop-punk pioneers Blink-182 are taking fans on a nostalgic trip down memory lane, stepping into an internet time machine to officially revive the band’s long-dormant Myspace page. The trio of Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge, and Travis Barker surprised fans by actively posting on the vintage social media platform, updating their profile with classic throwback photos and rare video clips specifically tracking their iconic early-2000s era. The clever internet stunt comes directly on the heels of a series of cryptic teasers the band dropped earlier in the week, building massive online hype for a monumental milestone in their catalog.

The digital revival is timed to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their landmark fourth studio album, Take Off Your Pants and Jacket, which officially hits its quarter-century mark on Friday, June 12th. Originally released in 2001 as the highly anticipated follow-up to their 1999 diamond-adjacent breakout explosion Enema of the State, the record completely solidified Blink-182's status as global superstars. Mainstream rock radio staples like “First Date,” “The Rock Show,” and the emotionally heavy “Stay Together for the Kids” propelled the album to historic heights, making it the very first Blink-182 record to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

While the band has spent the last year packing out global stadiums on their current touring cycles, this nostalgic digital detour gives longtime fans a perfect opportunity to log back in, dust off their profile layouts, and get their Top 8 profiles ready to celebrate one of the definitive albums of the pop-punk genre.

Sublime frontman Jakob Nowell has revealed that the band's highly anticipated new album, Until the Sun Explodes, will likely be his first and last studio record with the legendary California ska-punk outfit. Speaking candidly in a new interview with Billboard, the 30-year-old musician—who stepped into the role originally held by his late father, Bradley Nowell—addressed his long-term recording plans, framing the upcoming release as a definitive full circle moment. “Unless a child of mine wants to make another one one day, this is the last one I’m gonna make," Nowell shared. "I think you have to know your goals, set out to achieve them and, if you do, you must then create new goals... I wish to carry the flag forward in different ways now."

The 22-track album, which officially arrives tomorrow, June 12th, via Atlantic Records, marks Sublime's first full-length collection of new, original material in three decades. It features original founding members Eric Wilson (bass) and Bud Gaugh (drums) alongside notable guests like Pennywise, G. Love, and H.R. of Bad Brains. While Nowell initially never expected to record a full studio album after joining forces with his father's former bandmates, the creative chemistry organically sparked behind the scenes. "Truth be told, we just kept playing together at rehearsals and soundchecks," he explained. "We’re all very jam-oriented musicians, so we’d have these little parts we’d return to that started to sound like they could be new songs, and it seemed natural to move forward with that.”

Produced alongside Jon Joseph at Harbor Martyr Studios, the album's rollout has already achieved massive success, with both the opening track "Ensenada" and the poignant title track hitting No. 1 on the Alternative Airplay charts. Despite the incredibly warm reception, Nowell remains firm that his primary creative focus will stay with his own independent musical project, Jakobs Castle. While he intends to keep the legacy alive on stage by playing a select handful of legacy Sublime shows every year, he wants this new record to stand as a sacred monument. "I’ve done what I thought was impossible and I’m very proud with the results," Nowell sta…
Pop superstar Olivia Rodrigo shared a hilarious family betrayal during a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, revealing that her own mother chose to skip her massive festival headlining performance in order to catch nu-metal titans Korn. Reflecting on her landmark festival run, Rodrigo explained that while topping the bill was an absolute milestone, it came with an unexpected scheduling conflict. "My mom likes so many crazy metal bands, which you would never guess just looking at her," the singer laughed. "I headlined Lollapalooza last year, which was so awesome and such a dream of mine. But they have headliners go at the same time. So on this specific day, it was me and Korn headlining at the same time on like opposite stages."

Festival promoters typically schedule wildly contrasting genres against one another to split massive crowds and prevent stage overcrowding, assuming the respective fanbases have completely different musical tastes. As Rodrigo noted, everyone behind the scenes expected a clean split: "Everyone's like, 'Oh, that's perfect. You know, the Olivia fans will go see Olivia, the Korn fans will go see Korn. You know, there's really no overlap.'" However, the pop sensation quickly found out that her family household defied conventional demographic logic. "But there was one overlap," Rodrigo joked to Kimmel's audience, "and it was my mom."

The lighthearted late-night TV anecdote quickly went viral across both pop and heavy metal circles, highlighting her mother's dedication to old-school heavy music over family obligations when great riffs are on the line. While Rodrigo continued to captivate tens of thousands of screaming fans on the main stage with hits from Sour and Guts, her mother was firmly planted on the opposite end of the festival grounds, rocking out to classic heavy anthems like "Blind" and "Freak on a Leash."

For the first time ever, Mötley Crüe fans across the United States will have the opportunity to experience the band's acclaimed 2019 biopic, The Dirt, on the big screen. Regal has partnered with Live Nation, Netflix, and Submarine Deluxe to host a special, one-night-only nationwide theatrical event on Saturday, June 27th. Screenings will take place across 98 select Regal locations, offering a stadium-sized cinematic experience as part of the band's ongoing 45th-anniversary celebrations. To sweeten the night for die-hard fans, the feature film will be preceded by an exclusive, never-before-seen pre-show question-and-answer video created by the band members specifically for this event.

Based on the legendary quartet's 2001 New York Times bestselling autobiography, The Dirt: Confessions Of The World's Most Notorious Rock Band, the film provides an all-access, alternating-perspective look at the chaotic on-and-off-stage lives of Vince Neil, Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee, and Mick Mars as they climbed from the Sunset Strip to global stadium stardom. Immediately following the conclusion of the biopic, the event will segue into the first-ever theatrical screening of the rare 1986 documentary, Mötley Crüe: Uncensored. The documentary feature follows the band around Los Angeles during their mid-80s prime and boasts 25 uncensored minutes of behind-the-scenes footage alongside excerpts from two unearthed vintage music videos for "Take Me To The Top" and "Public Enemy #1."

The special theatrical evening lands exactly three weeks before the heavy metal icons launch their highly anticipated,33-date "The Return Of The Carnival Of Sins" North American summer tour, which officially kicks off on July 17th. The massive Live Nation-promoted trek commemorates the 20th anniversary of their historic 2005-2006 tour and follows hot on the heels of their 10-night Las Vegas residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM last year. In addition to the theater event and summer tour, the group is celebrating their legacy on the physical charts; a limited-edition picture disc box set titled Crücial Crüe 1981-1989 is scheduled to drop via BMG on July 10th. Evanescence are officially kicking off their highly anticipated tour tonight in West Palm Beach, Florida, in celebration of their newly released studio album, Sanctuary. Speaking about what lies ahead on the road, frontwoman Amy Lee promised that fans are in for an unprecedented live experience, calling it “the biggest show we’ve ever had.” To fully do justice to the new material, the band has meticulously prepared a massive, career-spanning setlist. “It’s a lot of fun, it’s a lot of work,” Lee shared. “We have a lot of new songs to learn. We’re playing pretty much the whole new album, along with lots of other songs. It’s gonna be probably our longest set.”

While the production scale is at an all-time high, Lee emphasized that her core mission remains focused on creating a deep, emotional connection with the audience. “I wanna bring some good to this time,” Lee explained. “Give people a place of release, to fill up, to charge up, spiritually, emotionally, and feel empowered when they walk away. We’re just trying to make something really good. I think we are. I’m very excited.”

To amplify that energy, the band has invited some heavy-hitting friends along for the ride. Alt-metal breakout Spiritbox is slated to open the North American leg of the tour, while genre-fluid artist Poppy will take over opening duties for the subsequent European run. The pairing is a natural extension of the trio's massive 2025 collaborative hit, “End of You,” which featured vocals from both Poppy and Spiritbox frontwoman Courtney LaPlante alongside Lee. Because the two openers are splitting duties across different continents, the trio won't share the same stage on this run, but Lee teased that collaborative magic is still on the horizon. “I wish I had Courtney and Poppy on the same show so we could do, like, an epic ‘End of You’ moment,” Lee laughed. “That hasn’t quite worked out, but we’ll definitely be doing something together.”

The tour arrives on the heels of the official release of Sanctuary, which features the hit rock singles “Who Will You Follow” and “Afterlife.”

Genre-defying New Jersey duo Ho99o9 have officially unleashed their latest standalone single, “Power In Numbers,” delivering a fierce, politically charged anthem rooted in unity and collective action. The track arrives via 999 Deathkult/Last Gang as the band's first new music since their acclaimed 2025 full-length studio album, Tomorrow We Escape. While the pair opted not to issue direct commentary on the song, an accompanying press release frames the piece as an urgent reflection of modern societal unrest: “‘Power In Numbers’ is a cultural statement that channels the chaos of the current moment and emphasizes the strength of solidarity and shared resistance. The track draws from the lineage of protest music, balancing chaos and control to reinforce its central message of collective power.”

Musically, the song leans heavily into Ho99o9's signature abrasive formula, seamlessly welding the structures of industrial hip-hop with the raw, confrontational energy of hardcore punk. To elevate the track's driving, rhythmic foundation, the duo enlisted world-class studio drumming from Thomas Pridgen—recognized for his explosive stints with Fever 333 and The Mars Volta. Additional production, instrumentation, and sonic engineering duties were handled by rock veteran Piggy D, who currently handles bass duties in Marilyn Manson's touring lineup.

The standalone drop is coupled with a visually striking, high-octane music video directed by creative collective NINENINE. The video perfectly captures the sheer angst and onstage explosiveness of the duo's revered live performances, while treating eagle-eyed metal fans to a cameo from a familiar face within the heavy music landscape. The single arrives at a pivotal moment for the group, landing just as Ho99o9 kicks off an extensive European and UK headlining summer tour, featuring highly anticipated festival appearances at Jera On Air in the Netherlands, Fusion Festival in Germany, and 2000Trees in the United Kingdom.

Mexican rock trio The Warning have confirmed that their highly anticipated fifth studio album, Everything’s Falling, will arrive in full on August 28th via Lava/Republic Records. The announcement follows a week of cryptic teases on a countdown website that featured flame-charred angel wings. Marking the sister trio's first full-length record since 2024’s acclaimed Keep Me Fed, the upcoming LP capitalizes on a massive wave of momentum generated by their two previous singles—the scorching, riff-heavy “Kerosene” in March and the boom-heavy anthem “Ego” in May.

To completely lock in the new era, guitarist Dany, drummer Pau, and bassist Ale Villarreal are simultaneously preparing to drop their next official single, “Ritual,” this Friday, June 12th. Social media teasers for the accompanying music video reveal a dramatic, dark aesthetic shift for the band, featuring the sisters donning feathers, brandishing a ceremonial dagger, and performing alongside a pale white horse and a group of masked occultists. According to a warning posted by the band, the "Ritual" cinematic visual has officially been rated "R" due to "strong sequences of ritual and transformation, of a symbolic death."

While further tracklist and production details behind the album are still developing, exclusive physical variants—including specialized colored vinyl pressings and CD copies—have officially been launched for pre-order via the Revolver webstore. The major album reveal lands right in the middle of a massive spring North American tour alongside alternative artist Yungblud, a high-profile trek that includes a highly anticipated performance at New York City’s iconic Radio City Music Hall.

Beartooth frontman Caleb Shomo has spoken out candidly about the intense struggles he faced regarding his sexuality, detailing how a deeply evangelical religious upbringing delayed his path to coming out last month. Appearing as a guest on the Disrespectfully podcast with hosts Katie Maloney and Dayna Kathan, the 33-year-old vocalist took a deep dive into his childhood in Ohio as the son and grandson of preachers. Shomo explained that the strict tenets of his family's faith instilled a severe lack of self-worth, teaching him to view his sexuality as an evil "sickness that you can cure with prayer." He recalled a particularly traumatizing core memory from his teenage years when, at just 16 years old, he witnessed a group of peers attempting to "pray the gay out" of a crew member, a terrifying experience that forced him to heavily compartmentalize and suppress his own feminine side and true identity out of fear.

The pressure only intensified when Shomo entered the heavy music scene at age 14, finding himself surrounded by older, highly devout musicians during the peak of the mid-to-late 2000s evangelical Christian metalcore era, which was heavily influenced by bands like Underoath. To cope with the constant internal conflict and the overwhelming pressure to conform to traditional expectations, the singer painfully revealed that he battled severe suicidal ideation and later developed a heavy dependence on alcohol throughout his 20s. Shomo emphasized that while he loves his parents and knows they were doing the best they could with the tools they had, the rigid religious framework left him with decades of internalized self-hatred to unravel.

Ultimately, breaking through those barriers has paved the way for profound creative and personal liberation. Shomo revealed that fans will get to experience his unfiltered, authentic self on Beartooth's highly anticipated upcoming studio album, Pure Ecstasy. He credited prominent rock producer Jordan Fish for pushing him out of his comfort zone during the writing sessions, encouraging him to stop hiding behind vague metaphors and to write explicitly honest lyrics about his journey. Shomo notes that he is finally looking forwa…
Green Day have officially shared the first trailer for their highly anticipated coming-of-age road-trip comedy, NIMRODS, ahead of its theatrical release this summer. Soundtracked by the band’s multi-platinum 1994 anthem “Basket Case,” the newly released teaser lays out the premise for a rowdy, mischievous jaunt across America. The film follows three teenage bandmates—played by Mason Thames, Kylr Coffman, and Ryan Foust—who are tricked by an older brother's elaborate prank into believing their group has landed an impossible, life-changing slot opening for Green Day on New Year’s Eve. Convinced fame is just a highway drive away, the trio steals a car and embarks on a frantic three-day journey from Kansas City to Los Angeles.

Directed and written by filmmaker Lee Kirk, the movie’s chaotic spirit is deeply rooted in rock folklore, pulling inspiration from the raw, DIY van-touring experiences Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tré Cool navigated years before their diamond-certified breakout record Dookie propelled them to global stardom. “It’s about the experience that Green Day had on the road in the early days... We played anywhere and everywhere,” Armstrong previously shared, noting that Kirk perfectly incorporated classic band milestones into the script, including spontaneous police shutdowns and their famous Woodstock mud fight. In addition to serving as producers alongside Live Nation Studios, the Green Day trio will appear on screen alongside a star-studded ensemble cast that includes Mckenna Grace, Jenna Fischer, Angela Kinsey, Fred Armisen, Bobby Lee, and Sean Gunn.

The movie’s path to the big screen has been an evolving one for fans keeping score. The project was initially announced in 2025 under the working title New Years Rev and celebrated its initial festival premiere circuits last year before the band officially updated the moniker to NIMRODS this past April—a nod to their hit 1997 studio album. Partnering with fan-owned entertainment company Legion M to help drive localized grassroots distribution, Inaugural Entertainment has locked in an official, wide theatrical premiere date for August 14th. Enigmatic Tool, A Perfect Circle, and Puscifer frontman Maynard James Keenan has been slapped with a lawsuit by a former business partner regarding their joint craft spirits venture in Arizona. Filed on June 6th, 2026, in the Maricopa County Superior Court by plaintiff Dave Sanclemente, the civil complaint targets Keenan alongside craft distillery entity Potions, LLC—the parent oversight management firm behind Thirteen Moons Gin—and fellow company co-managers Tim White and Calvin Arnold. Sanclemente alleges the named trio actively "conspired in bad faith" to systematically strip him of his day-to-day operational responsibilities, terminate his consulting agreement, and ban him from the company's headquarters.

According to court documents available via Courthouse News, the professional relationship fractured around November 2025 after Sanclemente lodged a series of formal, internal corporate complaints concerning Keenan's behavioral conduct. The plaintiff contends these complaints involved reported workplace issues at Keenan’s other brick-and-mortar Arizona establishments—which notably span caduceus cellars, vineyard tasting rooms, and a martial arts dojo—and focused on behavior Sanclemente believed to be outright illegal. The filing alleges the subsequent boardroom freeze-out transpired just one month later as immediate, direct retaliation for speaking up about matters entirely separate from the baseline business goals of Thirteen Moons Gin.

Because of the alleged ousting, Sanclemente's legal team is suing for breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, and a violation of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing. In addition to demanding a court order for full, uninhibited inspection access to Potions, LLC's corporate bank accounts, accounting logs, and financial ledger books, the lawsuit is aggressively pursuing punitive damages for what it describes as "willful, extreme, outrageous, and malicious conduct," as well as full coverage of all accumulated attorney fees.

Legendary Queen songwriter, singer, and powerhouse drummer Roger Taylor has officially revealed plans for his highly anticipated seventh solo studio album, Violence Insane In A Beautiful World, set for release on September 18th via Columbia Records. The upcoming LP marks Taylor's first solo record since 2021's critically and fan-acclaimed Top 3 hit Outsider. To give fans a taste of the new material, the album launch is preceded by the vibrant, celebratory lead single, "Come On Summer (It's Party Time)," which features a stunning vocal collaboration with South Africa's Ndlovu Youth Choir—the ensemble that initially caught Taylor's eye with their viral Zulu-language adaptation of Queen's iconic masterpiece, "Bohemian Rhapsody."

While not a strict concept record, the album follows a poignant, overarching perspective regarding the current geopolitical climate. "There is a theme, you know, it's in the title really: what a beautiful world we live in, don't fuck it up," Taylor explained. "There seems to be all this insanity at the moment. The violence in the world seems to be as bad as it ever was... plastics in the sea, and all these awful wars everywhere." Despite exploring darker themes of societal division, global conflict, and the rising tide of populist political figures like Nigel Farage, the collection ultimately maintains a deeply hopeful undercurrent focused on human kindness. Musically, the tracking process was an intimate affair; Taylor wrote, produced, and performed nearly every song on the project alongside longtime collaborator Joshua J. Macrae, pulling off an eclectic sonic tapestry that spans from political tracks like "Chump" to a stunning, heartfelt cover of John Lennon's classic ballad, "Jealous Guy."

The project also boasts a cosmic connection with NASA, after the crew of the Artemis II mission photographed Earth from the dark side of the moon—a perspective that exactly mirrors the album's artwork, which Taylor had designed prior to the photos being taken, depicting a beautiful but troubled world from the vantage point of an orbiting spacecraft. To celebrate the release, the rock pioneer will embark on a headlining autumn UK tour kicking off Sep…
Ratt vocalist Stephen Pearcy has firmly reiterated his lifelong stance against blending entertainment with political ideology, following high-profile artist cancellations from the controversial "Freedom 250" event. Speaking on the On The Road To Rock With Clint Switzer podcast, Pearcy was asked to weigh in on peers like Poison frontman Bret Michaels pulling out of the scheduled Washington, D.C. National Lawn concert series due to safety concerns and its increasingly divisive nature. "My opinion is I don't mix politics or religion with music," Pearcy stated flatly. "Never have, day one, nor do I think anybody else should. Everybody's entitled to their opinion, but the minute you start taking sides, you're gonna start making enemies. And that's just the way it is."

Pearcy’s perspective aligns with comments he made last year when he publicly called out Green Day on social media for integrating anti-political rhetoric into their live sets. Despite his strict policy of keeping personal beliefs separate from his artistic brand, Pearcy has occasionally signaled his own preferences online, previously using the acronym "TCB" (Taking Care of Business) to describe Donald Trump. However, when it comes to the stage, the singer believes the focus must remain entirely on the art. "If you commit to something, you better believe in it or you're gonna be dealt with the consequence," Pearcy warned. "I think Frank Zappa, our godfather of music, said it straight, you know? Don't do it. And me, I'm a firm believer. We never believed in it, taking sides for anything."

Away from the cultural debates, Pearcy is currently preparing for a major creative push with his sixth solo studio album, The Dogg Mob, which is tentatively scheduled to drop this fall via his own Top Fuel Records label. The upcoming collection marks his first full-length effort since 2018's View To A Thrill, and was previewed this past April with the hard-hitting lead single "I Need U." To track the new material, the singer enlisted an elite studio band featuring longtime guitarist Erik Ferentinos, bassist Matt Thorne, and drummer Blas Elias, alongside an unrevealed mystery guest guitarist. In addition to the upcomin…
Knocked Loose frontman Bryan Garris has provided an encouraging health update regarding his recent Bell's Palsy diagnosis, confirming that he is finally starting to regain physical movement on the left side of his face. Speaking candidly in the latest episode of the band's new documentary web series, Garris addressed the temporary paralysis condition, which struck the band amid a string of incredibly tough logistical hurdles—including their guitarist being struck by a car just prior to their massive stadium tour supporting Metallica. Despite the physical setbacks, the hardcore juggernauts have pushed forward with their live commitments without missing a beat.

Reflecting on the timeline since his initial diagnosis, Garris noted that while the condition briefly intensified, the trajectory has turned a corner. "We are on two and a half to three weeks since the diagnosis," Garris shared. "Since the video, it did get a little bit worse. I got to a point where my left eye was no longer blinking at all, and when I would try to smile, the left side of my mouth was just completely closed—fully stiff—which was difficult." Fortunately, the vocalist woke up recently experiencing a noticeable breakthrough. "I'm experiencing no pain, just a lot of discomfort... But since then it has actually gotten better. I woke up today feeling better than I have since the diagnosis. So I’m regaining some movement here… So yeah, hopefully this means we’re on the road to recovery." Garris credited a strict regimen of acupuncture and routine sauna sessions for helping stimulate blood circulation.

In tandem with the positive health update, Knocked Loose has treated fans to a highly anticipated, intimate live announcement. Following their upcoming appearance at the Outbreak Festival, the band will be performing a special, completely unbarricaded gig inside a church alongside their close friends in electronic-punk outfit Lip Critic. Tickets for the unique event are officially live, serving as a raw, small-scale detour within the band's relentless global touring schedule.

Staind have expanded their upcoming autumn touring plans, adding a special full-album performance of their landmark third studio album, Break The Cycle. MGK has opened up about the severe medical complications he endured after rushing the process behind his massive "dark mode" blackout tattoo. Speaking in a new interview with Billboard Canada, the 36-year-old musician revealed that he completely ignored the timeline advised by celebrity tattoo artist ROXX, opting to compress what should have been a careful two-year procedure into a grueling two-month period. Driven by a desire to cover up older tattoos that reminded him of chaotic eras marked by drugs and death, the singer established a relentless daily routine of getting tattooed at ROXX's Los Angeles studio without building in vital windows for bodily healing.

The extreme physical strain quickly triggered a severe systemic reaction. “After the first week, we hit my lymph nodes around my armpits and shoulders, and I got really sick," MGK shared. "My skin was turning yellow. I wasn’t able to sleep. I stopped being able to move certain parts of my upper body." The alarming symptoms mirror known risks highlighted by medical experts, who note that a widespread immune response can occur when the body's immune cells react heavily to chemicals in ink and carry them to local lymph nodes.

Despite the temporary paralysis and scary health scare, the father of two views the intense physical transformation as a necessary metaphorical obstacle that ultimately brought him profound mental clarity. After looking in the mirror and feeling like his old tattoos made his past struggles scream off his skin, clearing the canvas allowed him to find a new sense of identity. MGK noted that he emerged from the stressful ordeal feeling far less chaotic, more focused, and creatively recharged, stating, "I came out the other side extremely inspired. Not just because of what I had done, but because of what I had to overcome."

Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Jack White has caught the music world off guard once again, quietly launching pre-orders for his unexpected seventh solo studio album, Frozen Charlotte, via his official Third Man Records webstore. Keeping with his recent tradition of unconventional rollouts—reminiscent of how he stealthily distributed his lauded 2024 album No Name via unmarked vinyl bags—White skipped formal press releases entirely, opting instead to simply update his online shop. Scheduled for a July 10th street date, the upcoming 13-track effort includes the recently released singles “G.O.D. and the Broken Ribs” and “Derecho Demonico,” and features original cover artwork created by White himself, which he previously teased during an Instagram studio video.

According to the official product description, the material was tracked directly at Third Man Studio in Nashville immediately following a string of universally acclaimed live performances. Rather than taking a break from the road, White brought his scorching-hot touring lineup straight into the studio, capturing the performances alongside longtime collaborators Patrick Keeler on drums, Dominic Davis on bass, and Bobby Emmett on keyboards. The collection promises to carry on the same raucous, raw, and frenetic energy of his previous record, combining intense rock-and-roll punches with deep, underlying blues foundations. The surprise studio drop lands right in the middle of a heavy stretch of 2026 international tour dates, which will see the guitar virtuoso trekking across major venues throughout North America and Europe over the coming months.

Heart frontwoman Ann Wilson has opened up candidly about her 2024 battle with cancer, detailing the mental hurdles of the diagnosis and the grueling reality of post-operative preventative chemotherapy. Speaking in a new interview with Jesse Thorn on the NPR program Bullseye, the iconic singer admitted that her primary fears during the health scare were deeply tied to her lifelong musical identity. "I really did worry about my physical self on stage more than I worried about it any other way," Wilson revealed. "What I would care about the most would be, 'Oh, my God. Will I still be able to sing?' Yeah, I definitely worried about that." Despite the initial anxiety, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee credits an unwavering sense of optimism for helping her navigate the treatment process without spiraling into despair, stating that she remained focused on pushing through to the other side.

While Wilson acknowledged that chemotherapy and the subsequent waiting periods for test results amount to intense physical and mental torture, she emphasized that the grueling road back to baseline is often the ultimate test. "The recovery from cancer is harder than the cancer, really, in life," Wilson observed, adding that while the journey touched her on a profound level, she managed to avoid falling into a dark mental space. Her resilient mindset paved the way for a triumphant return to live performing in 2025. The intimate look into her health journey mirrors the raw vulnerability showcased in her new authorized feature documentary, In My Voice. Directed by Prime-Time Emmy nominee Barbara Hall, the archival-heavy film recently celebrated its world premiere run across North America, mapping out Wilson's trailblazing 50-year career leading one of hard rock’s most influential, multi-platinum institutions.

Post-hardcore pioneers Underoath have confirmed a North American tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of their seminal, gold-certified 2006 studio album, Define The Great Line. The monumental commemorative run will feature a powerhouse lineup, bringing metalcore titans August Burns Red and Atreyu out as primary support. Scene stalwarts As Cities Burn and Emery are also tapped to perform on select legs of the trek, which is scheduled to conclude just ahead of the Christmas holidays with an emotional hometown finale for Underoath in Tampa, Florida.

Reflecting on the record's staggering two-decade legacy, Underoath keyboardist and programmer Chris Dudley expressed how deeply the album shaped the band's identity. "What this album has meant to us, and so many others, over the past 20 years is hard to quantify," Dudley shared. "It gave us permission to be ourselves. It sent us around the world. It gave people the freedom to say (and scream) the things out loud they had buried deep. It will outlive us. We still play these songs on stage 20 years later and get those chills. The opportunity to devote an entire tour to presenting this album in the best way it ever has been, alongside friends we’ve had since before it was released, is going to be bucket list material for us."

In addition to the standard tour dates, the core roster will double as the official lineup for August Burns Red’s annual 'Christmas Burns Red' extravaganza. The festive holiday event is locked in for December 3th at Freedom Hall in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Legendary shock rock pioneer Alice Cooper experienced a serious stroke of good luck earlier this month after a local Good Samaritan safely tracked down and returned his lost credit card. The rock icon had been golfing in Payson, Arizona, when he accidentally left his card behind at a gas station pump. Local resident Geoff Guy discovered the abandoned card, immediately recognized the famous name printed on the back, and proactively contacted Cooper's management team to coordinate a safe return before the singer departed the country for an upcoming five-week European concert tour.

The official handoff took place on Monday morning, June 8th, at Cooper's Solid Rock Teen Center in Phoenix, with local outlet 12News on hand to capture the wholesome meeting between the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and his eagle-eyed savior. The fortunate resolution ensures a smooth departure for Cooper, whose packed 2026 schedule includes the highly anticipated publication of his definitive autobiography, Devil On My Shoulder, slated to be released by Ebury Spotlight on October 8, 2026. The book arrives on the heels of immense career momentum, riding high off the widespread critical acclaim of 2025's The Revenge of Alice Cooper, which successfully reunited the surviving members of the original, seminal 1970s Alice Cooper band lineup.
