Former Sick Puppies frontman Shim Moore has opened up about the band's bitter 2014 split, sharing a vital piece of advice he believes every musical act needs to hear to survive. Speaking in a video posted to his Shim's Rockstar Academy Instagram page, the singer reflected on how his perspective has evolved over the last decade regarding why the alternative rock outfit fractured at the height of their mainstream success. Moore candidly confessed that the core reason for the breakdown of his band—and almost any collaborative relationship—is simply that the members stopped valuing one another as individuals as they grew older.

Moore explained that while the group started with a singular, shared goal when they initially met in high school, more than a decade of touring and maturity inevitably transformed them into different people with entirely separate values. Rather than communicating openly and making space for those evolving personal needs, the members allowed history and baggage to block their communication, creating an environment where they became defensive and stopped listening to each other. Directing his advice toward up-and-coming musicians, Moore emphasized that long-term survival in any creative partnership requires artists to honestly express their core values while actively remaining willing to honor and accommodate the changing values of their bandmates.

What do you think about Shim Moore's advice on band communication, and what is your absolute favorite track from the classic Sick Puppies era?

Limp Bizkit made a triumphant, high-octane return to Madrid yesterday (July 1st), marking their first time rocking the Spanish capital since 2012. The long-awaited performance served as a massive release for fans who have been waiting years for this moment. The band was originally scheduled to play Spain back in 2020 before the pandemic forced a cancellation, and a subsequent 2022 tour routing was similarly scrapped after frontman Fred Durst was advised by his doctor to take a medical break from the road. With over a decade of anticipation building up, both the band and the crowd gave it absolutely everything they had for a legendary night of heavy riffs and nostalgia.

The band rewarded the crowd's patience with an explosive, career-spanning 20-song setlist packed with their biggest anthems and signature covers. Limp Bizkit kicked things off with "Stuck" and tore through staples like "Nookie," "My Way," and "Rollin' (Air Raid Vehicle)," even inviting two audience members on stage to help them jam out "Full Nelson." Alongside snippets of tracks by Metallica and Ministry, the band delivered their famous George Michael cover "Faith" and closed out the chaotic night by playing their definitive anthem "Break Stuff" a second time, bringing out opening artist Death by Romy to help blast the roof off the venue.

Were you in the crowd for Limp Bizkit's massive return to Spain last night, or what is your favorite track to see Fred and the boys play live?

This Sunday officially marks the one-year anniversary of the historic Back to the Beginning concert, which took place on July 5th, 2025, in Birmingham, England. The monumental event featured a powerhouse lineup of hard rock and heavy metal royalty leading up to the absolute final live performance from Ozzy Osbourne and the original Black Sabbath lineup, just 17 days before the Prince of Darkness tragically passed away on July 22nd, 2025.

Speaking with ABC Audio, several of the festival's high-profile performers looked back on the incredible emotional weight and legacy of that unforgettable night.

Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan summarized the band's unmatched legacy perfectly, stating, "In the beginning was Black Sabbath, and then everything else fits neatly below when it comes to metal. They were it. So, it was an honor."

Jerry Cantrell of Alice in Chains mirrored that reverence, adding, "Just the fact that that was able to happen and [Ozzy] was able to have that moment, we were invited to be a part of it, and celebrate the man and the band, I mean, it’s one of the most important things that I was ever included in, and well deserved, as well."

Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale reflected on the shared backstage bond, noting, "Everyone was having the same conversations, like, ‘Oh, we can’t believe we’re here,’ but also, we wouldn’t be the rockers that we are today without these guys, without Ozzy and without Black Sabbath. So just to get to be a part of that was just, we’re so grateful, what a tremendous honor."

Mastodon’s Brann Dailor recalled the sheer adrenaline of their own tribute performance, sharing, "When we got to go into ‘Supernaut,’ I was just, like, ‘Oh man, this is, this is, like, the biggest moment of your life right now happening.’ But I just was pretty taken by the outpouring of love and respect and community. It was all for Ozzy, it was all for Sabbath, all for those guys."

Finally, Lamb of God’s Randy Blythe put the historic weight of the evening into definitive perspective, concluding, "A show like that will never happen again, for me, ever. It was a magic thing to be a part of, I’m very grateful."

Former Godsmack drummer Shannon Larkin has issued a formal public apology to Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx after a social media firestorm erupted over the use of pre-recorded backing tracks in live music. The drama kicked off during a June livestream on Larkin's YouTube channel, where he proudly defended Godsmack's strict "no click track, no backing track" philosophy while explaining recent touring drummer adjustments. In the process of arguing that running tracks homogenizes the raw, dangerous energy of a rock show, Larkin named Sixx as a direct example, pointing out moments where the bassist walked away from his microphone while his backing vocals visibly kept playing in the mix.

The critique caught the attention of Sixx, who fiercely hit back on X by dismissing the comments as coming from a "B- and C-level" musician using Mötley Crüe's massive spotlight for cheap press and attention. Shaken by the legendary bassist's response, Larkin took to Facebook Live to issue a sincere, rambling apology directly to Sixx, clarifying that his comments were taken completely out of context by music news outlets. Insisting that he holds the utmost respect for Mötley Crüe and has zero desire to get locked into an ugly industry beef, Larkin looked into the camera to tell Sixx he was deeply sorry for using him as a shorthand example, noting that there is ultimately nothing wrong with running tracks and that Sixx has earned the right to do whatever he wants on stage.

What are your thoughts on Shannon Larkin clearing the air with Nikki Sixx, and where do you stand on rock bands utilizing backing tracks for live performances?

Rapidly rising heavy rock outfit Sleep Theory—consisting of vocalist Cullen Moore, guitarist Daniel Pruitt, bassist Paolo Vergara, and drummer Ben Pruitt—has surprised fans today with the unexpected release of a brand-new covers EP titled (E)motional (S)upport (C)are (P)ackage. Arriving via Epitaph Records, the three-track collection continues the band's signature streak of transforming mainstream pop and alternative anthems into massive, heavy-hitting rock tracks. To celebrate the surprise drop, the group has also unleashed a seasonal music video for their rendition of Taylor Swift’s blockbuster anthem "Cruel Summer," delivering the track with an intense, aggressive sonic edge unlike anything fans of the pop star have heard before.

The new studio collection pairs the Taylor Swift cover with the band's previously released takes on Paramore’s "My Heart" and NSYNC’s "Bye Bye Bye," the latter of which has already become a massive staple of their high-energy live shows. The surprise EP arrives during a monumental wave of momentum for the band, who have currently amassed over 875 million catalog streams following the spring release of their acclaimed debut album, Afterglow. Fresh off a Best New Rock Artist win at the iHeartRadio Awards and three consecutive No. 1 singles at Rock Radio, the band is set to take these new covers directly to the stage as they gear up for a heavy itinerary of upcoming summer and fall festival appearances, including highly anticipated sets at Inkcarceration, Louder Than Life, and Aftershock.

Amy Lee has opened up about the powerful bond shared among female artists in heavy music, praising the rock and metal sisterhood as an ever-growing, deeply supportive community. Speaking on The Mistress Carrie Podcast, Lee recalled her excitement when Evanescence snagged the No. 1 spot on the Active Rock chart right next to The Pretty Reckless at No. 2, calling it a "badass" moment of women absolutely ruling the genre. She emphasized that while the sisterhood actively pushes for inclusivity and open-mindedness, the artists themselves maintain an incredibly high standard, noting that lasting success ultimately comes down to talent and relentless hard work.

The celebration of female talent is taking center stage on Evanescence's current headlining tour in support of their brand-new studio album, Sanctuary, which dropped on June 5th. The North American trek features heavy-hitting support from Spiritbox and Nova Twins, with Lee revealing that they invite all the touring women on stage every night to perform their single "Fight Like A Girl." Lee noted that the onstage collaboration is a vital statement that actively dismantles outdated media tropes about women constantly tearing each other down behind the scenes. Following the current North American run, the band will take the Sanctuary tour to Europe in September with Poppy and K.Flay, before returning to the States for a special grand finale at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on October 26th.

Are you planning to catch the powerhouse lineup of the Sanctuary tour live this summer, or which track off the new Evanescence album has been your favorite so far?

Outspoken country-rock musician Kid Rock (Bob Ritchie) has pulled back the curtain on his close personal relationship with U.S. President Donald Trump, calling the experience of having a friend running the world "fucking awesome." Speaking with Sky News Australia host Paul Murray for an upcoming one-hour travelogue documentary titled Trump's America: 250 Years In The Making, the chart-topping artist revealed that he frequently uses his direct line to the president as a casual late-night drinking trick when having beers with friends on the weekends. Ritchie noted that because both he and Trump share similar habits of only sleeping about five hours a night, he knows exactly when to get ahold of him around midnight on Fridays or Saturdays. The president is incredibly gracious and always picks up to simply "shoot the shit," giving the rocker what he enthusiastically describes as a front-row seat to the greatest shit show on Earth.

During the extensive interview, the multi-platinum musician fiercely blasted political critics of the U.S. president, pushing back against accusations regarding Trump's business interests while in office by asserting that his background as a smart businessman is exactly why he succeeds. Ritchie insisted that Trump's heart and soul are entirely focused on putting America first, arguing that every global leader should possess that exact same level of singular dedication to their own nation. The rock icon, who recently counterprogrammed the Super Bowl this past February by headlining Turning Point USA's "All-American Halftime Show" at the exact same time Bad Bunny took the main stage, previously admitted to Rolling Stone that he knew doubling down on his public support for Trump was a massive gamble that could have been a career ender. However, he confidently bet that a massive audience of like-minded fans across the country would stand right there with him.

Frontman Chris Motionless broke the news to fans on social media, celebrating a consecutive "hat trick" of chart-topping hits as the band’s newest single, "R.I.P." (featuring Skylar Grey), rocketed straight to the No. 1 spot. The legendary gothic concert throne belonging to the late Ozzy Osbourne has officially gone on public display in his hometown of Birmingham, England. Serving as a poignant centerpiece for the ongoing, free Ozzy Osbourne: Working Class Hero exhibition at the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, the return of the artifact coincides with the solemn one-year anniversary of the heavy metal pioneer’s passing. Originally constructed for his 2024 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction, the intricately designed chair was last used on stage during his final solo performance and Black Sabbath’s historic Back to the Beginning charity concert at Villa Park on July 5th of last year, just 17 days before he passed away at age 76.

Housed in a specially constructed display case, the throne allows fans to get an up-close look at its incredibly detailed, macabre craftsmanship, featuring sculpted skulls, bat motifs, and a built-in water cannon. In a touch that has deeply moved visiting fans, the display also exposes the hidden rear handles that crews used behind the scenes to seamlessly wheel the Prince of Darkness out into the stadium spotlight. Curated in close partnership with the Osbourne family, the massively successful exhibition has already been extended twice and welcomed over 640,000 visitors, with the newly added throne expected to drive tens of thousands more to the gallery before the attraction officially wraps up its historic run on September 27th.

Are you planning a trip to Birmingham to see the Prince of Darkness's final stage throne in person before the exhibition closes this September?

Rush have been forced to put the brakes on their highly anticipated Texas run. The band has officially postponed their June 30th and July 2nd performances at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth after bassist and vocalist Geddy Lee was diagnosed with both laryngitis and bronchitis.

The announcement hits Fort Worth fans particularly hard, as the July 2nd date was already a rescheduled slot from a June 24th show that had been pushed back due to international travel and border-related production delays. In a statement shared to social media, the band expressed their deep frustration over the medical pause:

"Geddy has been diagnosed with laryngitis and bronchitis. After being evaluated by his doctors, he has been advised that he needs additional time to rest and recover before returning to the stage... After more than 50 years of touring, we've always believed that if we’re going to step on stage, we owe you the very best performance we can give — and right now, that simply isn't possible."

Fortunately, venue organizers and the band's team moved quickly to lock down replacement dates. The June 30th concert has been officially moved to Saturday, July 11th, while the July 2nd show will now take place on Monday, July 13th. All previously purchased tickets will be fully honored for the new dates, and refunds will be made available at the original point of purchase for fans unable to make the turnaround.

The stadium and arena tour has been a monumental success, expanding from an initial 22-date run to a massive 58-show itinerary across North America, with highly anticipated extensions into South America and Europe already mapped out for early 2027.

Are you holding tickets for the rescheduled Fort Worth dates, or have you already witnessed the incredible new lineup live on this historic anniversary tour?

As the unmistakable theatrical lead singer of the group, Willis memorably commanded the stage in his iconic policeman and naval officer outfits, steering the band to massive international stardom. System of a Down frontman Serj Tankian has issued a scathing response following the Israeli government's official move to recognize the 1915 Armenian Genocide, accusing the administration of using historical atrocities for geopolitical leverage.

Tankian—a lifelong, outspoken advocate for genocide recognition whose grandparents survived the 1915 massacre—released a video statement online condemning the timing and motivations of the political decision. He noted that for decades, geopolitical alliances had actively blocked this exact acknowledgement:

"For many years, Israel’s government used AIPAC to lobby the US Congress to not recognize the Armenian genocide... due to their relationship with Turkey, their intelligence sharing with Turkey, et cetera. Today, the Netanyahu cabinet decided to recognize the Armenian genocide of 1915 — a genocide that led Hitler thinking that he could do what he could do to the Jews in the 1930s and 1940s."

The musician fiercely criticized the alignment of the announcement with current events, stating that the political move weaponizes the deep intergenerational trauma of the Armenian people:

"The fact that this government is already committing genocide in Gaza and Lebanon decided to recognize the genocide of my grandparents is the worst fucking thing that they could have done to Armenians — by using our history, our genocide, our pain to their political advantage. Fuck you."

The heavy metal icon and activist's public remarks come ahead of his scheduled appearance at Tom Morello's sold-out 'Power to the People' festival in Columbia, Maryland, on October 3rd. Tankian will share the stage with a massive, star-studded lineup including Foo Fighters, Public Enemy, Cypress Hill, and Bruce Springsteen. The event, which frames itself as a celebration of peace, justice, and community action, will feature on-site non-profit organizations focused on voter registration initiatives ahead of the upcoming midterm elections.

What are your thoughts on Serj Tankian’s unfiltered stance regarding the political timing of this historical recognition?

Today, the global heavy metal community raises a flag to the sky to celebrate the birth of Swedish guitar hero Jonas “Kungen” Jarlsby, the legendary co-founder and lead guitarist of Gothenburg's theatrical metal visionaries, Avatar.

Turning 39 today, Jarlsby has spent a quarter of a century cementing his legacy as one of the most charismatic and technically proficient guitarists in modern metal. Since co-founding the band back in 2001, his thunderous groove metal riffs, blistering melodic death metal solos, and unmistakable majestic presence have anchored Avatar’s boundary-pushing sonic evolution.

Jarlsby’s unmatched persona is so deeply woven into the band's identity that he inspired the entire concept of Avatar Country—the band's celebrated micronation where he rules supreme as "Kungen" (The King). From early landmark shred-fests to massive chart-topping hits like "The Eagle Has Landed" and their historic radio No. 1 single "The Dirt I'm Buried In," his rhythmic precision and creative synergy with frontman Johannes Eckerström have continually propelled the band into a league of their own.

The birthday milestone comes at an incredibly exciting time for the group, following the successful launch of their tenth studio concept album, Don't Go in the Forest, which arrived this past Halloween. Jarlsby and the rest of the dark circus have spent the subsequent months conquering massive headlining tours across North America and Europe, proving that the kingdom of Avatar is stronger than ever.

Tragic news has emerged from the disaster zone in Venezuela, where all four members of the rising local nü-metal and alternative rap-rock band Van Der Dijs have been confirmed dead following the massive earthquakes that rocked the country's north-central coastline.

The band—vocalist Manuel van Der Dijs, guitarist Gabriel Gómez, bassist Xander Hernández, and drummer Abraham Foucault—were inside the Costamar II building in the heavily impacted Tanaguarena district of La Guaira when the disaster struck. According to local media outlet Últimas Noticias, the young musicians were in the middle of a rehearsal session when the consecutive 7.2 and 7.5 magnitude earthquakes hit, triggering a sudden structural collapse that trapped them beneath the rubble. Emergency Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) teams later located and recovered the musicians from the site.

The tragedy cuts short a rapidly ascending career for the group, who formed in 2024 and had just broken out nationally following a standout appearance at the Nuevas Bandas Festival. Just five days prior to the earthquake, Van Der Dijs had celebrated a triumphant, sold-out headlining performance at the Experimental Hall of the Modern Art Center (CCAM) in Caracas. The band had been actively promoting their newest single, "15 Minutes," and were scheduled to play a heavily anticipated concert on June 27th, followed by a string of national tour dates in Valencia and Punto Fijo.

The devastating losses within the Venezuelan music scene reflect a fraction of a massive, escalating humanitarian crisis. The United Nations and local authorities have confirmed that the death toll has passed 1,700 people, with over 43,000 individuals still unaccounted for as multi-national search teams race against time. The double-fault rupture completely leveled over 2,500 structures across seven states—including the total destruction of a hotel housing recently deported individuals—leaving an estimated 16,000 citizens homeless.

Tributes from fans, peers, and iconic Venezuelan rock mainstays like Desorden Público have poured in across social media to honor the band's explosive energy and dedication to building the country's heavy alternative …
Ice Nine Kills frontman Spencer Charnas has opened up about the massive impact of touring alongside heavy metal titans Metallica, calling the experience a surreal, full-circle milestone. Speaking with nationally syndicated radio host LA Lloyd for the LA Lloyd Rock 30, Charnas reflected on the band's 20-year journey and revealed that sharing global stadium stages with the biggest metal band of all time remains a definitive pinnacle for the group.

For Charnas, the tour hit incredibly close to home. He recalled his father taking him to see Metallica live in Boston back in 1997 during the Load album cycle—a core memory that originally sparked his obsession with heavy music and inspired him to pick up a guitar to learn riffs like "Master of Puppets." Decades later, getting handpicked by the icons themselves to join the massive M72 stadium run was a pinch-me reality:

"What percentage of bands ever get to say they played a stadium, let alone with Metallica, all over the world? Anytime anyone mentions it when I'm doing an interview, and I'm not B.S.ing here, I get chills... I still have to kind of pinch myself every time we show up at one of those stadiums and realize, 'I'm not just going to see them. We're on the show.'"

Beyond the historic scale of the gigs, Charnas emphasized that the greatest takeaway was Metallica’s unprecedented backstage hospitality. Despite their legendary status, James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett, and Robert Trujillo made a point to treat the opening acts like gold—leaving welcoming bottles of champagne and cake labeled "Welcome to the circus" in the dressing rooms, introducing themselves early on, inviting the band to post-show dinners, and consistently watching INK's sets from the wings. Charnas noted that this attitude trickled down from how Ozzy Osbourne famously treated a young Metallica in their early days, calling it a vital lesson in humility that Ice Nine Kills intends to carry forward.

The frontman also admitted that conquering Metallica's unique, massive "in-the-round" donut-shaped stage took some major technical adjustment. Charnas recalled running around the vast structure during early dates and completely winding hims…
Headline: The Pretty Reckless Drop Haunting Music Video for Title Track ‘Dear God’

Subheadline:
Taylor Momsen Unveils a Visceral and Honest Visualizer Directed by George Gallardo Kattah Following New Album Release

Record-breaking rock outfit The Pretty Reckless has officially unleashed the music video for their gripping new track, "Dear God." Serving as the title track of the band's fifth studio album—which just arrived last week on June 26th via Fearless Records—the video was directed by George Gallardo Kattah.

The title cut sees the band leaning heavily into a raw, deeply vulnerable sonic framework. Propelled by frontwoman Taylor Momsen's signature, commanding vocals, the haunting track slowly builds from a desperate plea into a blazing guitar solo that underscores the record's primary themes of emotional escape.

Momsen described the heavy emotional toll behind the track's diaristic lyricism:

"'Dear God' is desperation set to music. When life gets that physical, that brutal, you leave your body and start begging something bigger than yourself to pull you out. That space between heaven and hell isn't a metaphor. It's somewhere you actually live."

The release of Dear God caps off an incredible hot streak for the band. The new album's lead single, "For I Am Death," recently secured the group their historic eighth No. 1 single on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Radio chart—solidifying their record as the first female-fronted band to achieve that feat.

Following a massive two-year global stadium trek supporting AC/DC on their Power Up tour, The Pretty Reckless will be bringing these new, unfiltered tracks directly to fans worldwide with an upcoming headlining world tour later this year.

Have you had a chance to stream Dear God all the way through yet, and what do you think of the haunting new visualizer for the title track?

Canadian hard rock outfit Finger Eleven has secured a massive new commercial milestone in the United States. The band's ubiquitous 2007 smash hit "Paralyzer" has officially been certified 6x platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

First shipped to rock radio in March 2007, the track became a runaway cross-format success, earning a gold certification (500,000 units) by December of that year and crossing the traditional platinum threshold (1,000,000 units) by February 2008.

Remarkably, after achieving double-platinum status back in June 2008, the track went without any formal RIAA updates for nearly two decades. The silence broke this past Thursday, June 25th, when a massive multi-platinum audit officially bumped the track up to its current 6x platinum standing, reflecting over six million equivalent units accumulated through a mix of digital downloads and billions of on-demand audio and video streams.

The renewed sales accolade arrives as Finger Eleven enjoys an active creative renaissance. Last November, the band released Last Night on Earth, their highly anticipated first studio album in over a decade, and they have spent the subsequent months touring heavily behind the new material.

Does "Paralyzer" still hold a permanent spot on your ultimate rock playlists, or have you been diving into the band's newer material from Last Night on Earth?

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is officially shining a heavy, loud spotlight on the groundbreaking women who have reshaped the landscape of aggressive music. The museum’s newest exhibit featurette, "Women In Metal: You Will Know My Name," is scheduled to open to the public on July 10th in Cleveland, Ohio.

Curated by assistant curator Haley Cronin, the exhibit celebrates the iconic risk-takers and trailblazers who have continuously challenged the status quo within the metal genre. Visitors will get an up-close look at rare artifacts, gear, and personal items spanning the history of heavy music's premier frontwomen. The expansive roster of featured artists includes legendary metal pioneer Lita Ford, Halestorm's Lzzy Hale, Arch Enemy powerhouse Alissa White-Gluz, The Pretty Reckless frontwoman Taylor Momsen, and Spiritbox vocalist Courtney LaPlante, among many others.

The exhibit's grand opening on July 10th will feature a special headlining appearance by Lzzy Hale and Joe Hottinger of Halestorm, who will perform an intimate acoustic set on the museum's outdoor PNC Stage. Reflecting on the honor, Hale expressed her immense excitement for the showcase:

"I'm honored to stand next to my sisters of scream. These women have set me on fire and helped shape this genre. Together, we are creating a space to shine, be loud, and carve a path for the next generation to follow, like our foremothers inspired us."

Following Halestorm's acoustic performance, the opening night festivities on the Union Home Mortgage Plaza will continue with a high-energy heavy music showcase featuring sets from Storms Within, Maxilla, and Reign of Z starting at 7:00 p.m. General tickets for the live showcase are available for $15, while an upgraded "Event Plus" pass priced at $40 grants fans full access to the concert alongside early entry to tour the museum and the brand-new exhibit featurette from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Which iconic metal frontwoman are you most excited to see honored at the Rock Hall, and are you planning a trip to Cleveland to see these legendary artifacts in person?

A free outdoor performance by viral psych-rock sensation Angine de Poitrine drew a historic, capacity crowd to Montreal’s Place des Festivals on Saturday, June 27th, resulting in six concertgoers being rushed to the hospital in serious condition.

The highly anticipated set, booked as part of the annual Montreal International Jazz Festival, reached maximum venue capacity a full 30 minutes before the polka dot-adorned duo even took the stage. According to a report from The Montreal Gazette, the six hospitalizations were not caused by a single major crowd incident, and thankfully, none of the injuries are considered life-threatening. The specific nature of the injuries has not yet been disclosed by festival medical staff or local authorities.

The sheer scale of the turnout completely caught organizers off guard. Festival director Maurin Auxéméry confirmed that the crowd for Angine de Poitrine was the largest the festival has witnessed since soul legend Stevie Wonder drew a staggering 200,000 attendees to the city back in 2009. Organizers later shared jaw-dropping aerial footage showcasing a literal sea of fans packed tightly across the downtown plaza.

Angine de Poitrine's mainstream popularity exploded exponentially earlier this year, after a mesmerizing, microtonal progressive rock performance during a live KEXP in-studio session went completely viral online. The band is currently scheduled to continue their momentum across the continent with additional North American tour dates lined up for the remainder of the year.

Were you one of the thousands packed into the Place des Festivals for this historic set, or are you catching Angine de Poitrine at one of their upcoming North American tour stops?

Evanescence has officially crossed one of the rarest commercial thresholds in music history. The band’s monumental 2003 breakout anthem "Bring Me to Life" has been awarded a massive 11x platinum certification by the RIAA, officially vaulting the track past the coveted Diamond mark (10 million units).

The new certification, handed down on Thursday, June 25th, represents a colossal leap for the track. "Bring Me to Life" was last audited by the RIAA back in April 2019, when it sat at 3x platinum status. Thanks to sustained digital downloads and an absolute juggernaut presence on streaming platforms—including officially joining Spotify's exclusive "1 Billion Streams Club" in January 2024—the track's modern equivalent units have skyrocketed over the last seven years.

This milestone marks the second official Diamond certification for Amy Lee and company. Their legendary debut studio album, Fallen, which featured "Bring Me to Life" as its explosive lead single, originally achieved Diamond status back in November 2022.

While the track remains a flawless staple of 2000s alternative rock culture, its history is famously complicated. The distinct, rap-laced guest vocals delivered by 12 Stones frontman Paul McCoy became a defining characteristic of the radio edit, but Amy Lee has candidly revealed over the years that the male vocals were never part of the band's original creative vision. Instead, the addition was a direct mandate from record label executives who feared a rock track fronted solely by a woman wouldn't get played on alternative radio. More than two decades later, the song's enduring legacy has completely vindicated the band's timeless songwriting.

Does "Bring Me to Life" still give you chills when that massive chorus hits, or do you prefer diving into some of the deeper cuts across the Fallen tracklist?

Today, June 30th, the metal community raises a collective fist to wish a very happy birthday to one of the most commanding and influential frontmen in heavy music history: Philip H. Anselmo.

Turning 58 today, the New Orleans native fundamentally reshaped the landscape of aggressive music when he joined Pantera in the late 1980s. His ferocious vocal delivery, unmistakable southern swagger, and raw lyrical intensity helped propel the band to multi-platinum status, defining the groove-metal genre through landmark albums like Cowboys from Hell, Vulgar Display of Power, and the historic Billboard No. 1 record Far Beyond Driven.

Beyond his definitive work with Pantera, Anselmo has spent decades as a restless creative force, leaving a massive footprint across the underground metal and hardcore scenes. From the heavy, sludge-drenched riffs of southern rock supergroup Down to the extreme aggression of Superjoint Ritual and his various solo ventures, his uncompromising artistic drive has continuously pushed boundaries. Whether throwing down classic, floor-shaking grooves or championing obscure underground metal acts, his dedication to the genre remains undeniable.

Throw on your favorite Pantera or Down record today to blast it in honor of the legendary vocalist's birthday.

What is your absolute favorite Phil Anselmo vocal performance or definitive track from his massive discography?

Three Days Grace frontman Adam Gontier has opened up about his highly anticipated 2024 return to the Canadian rock outfit, describing the transition back into the lineup as completely natural. Speaking with Poland's Pełna Kulturka, the 48-year-old vocalist—who left the band in 2013—revealed that stepping onto the stage alongside co-vocalist Matt Walst required very little adjustment.

Gontier credited the effortless transition to the foundational bonds the band members forged growing up together in the same small town in Canada. Rather than a calculated business move, Gontier emphasized that the current dual-frontman era is anchored entirely in mutual camaraderie:

"It really wasn't that challenging. We had been a band for so many years before... it was like I took about 10 years off and then came back and it was pretty seamless. It wasn't very hard. It's kind of like riding a bike — you just get back into it again, even if you haven't done it in a while."

Reflecting on his decade away from the group, Gontier noted that time, maturity, and fatherhood helped everyone shift their perspectives, making previous disagreements irrelevant. That renewed synergy carried directly into the creative sandbox for Three Days Grace's latest studio album, Alienation, which dropped last August via RCA Records. Gontier revealed that the writing process remained largely unchanged from their early days, with the band members convening at guitarist Barry Stock’s home in Indiana to hammer out the tracks together on acoustic guitars.

The band officially marked Gontier's first full live performance with the group in 12 years on February 25th, 2025, serving as the direct support act for Disturbed's massive The Sickness anniversary tour kickoff in Nampa, Idaho.

How do you feel about the dual-vocalist dynamic with both Adam and Matt leading Three Days Grace, and what is your favorite track off Alienation so far?

A long-simmering rock-and-roll rivalry has officially exploded back into the headlines. Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx has fired back with a vengeance against former Godsmack drummer Shannon Larkin, after Larkin publicly accused Sixx of miming his live vocal parts to pre-recorded backing tracks.

The exchange began during a June 19th livestream, where Larkin was discussing Godsmack’s recent live drum tracking and their pride in refusing to use playback software. Larkin quickly pointed out Mötley Crüe as a prime example of modern rock's over-reliance on technology:

"Backups, you see Nikki Sixx up there [with Mötley Crüe]. He’s not really singing, he looks away, but you still hear his voice. Well, it’s a track playing... It’s a homogenization of what used to be the dangerous feeling of a rock show — dangerous from the band’s aspect on stage too. You don’t know what’s gonna go on.”

Sixx did not take the critique sitting down. Taking to X yesterday, June 28th, the glam metal icon launched a scathing, multi-paragraph counterattack, completely dismissing Larkin and questioning his career longevity:

“Who’s this Shannon Larkin hater? It’s funny how so many B- and C-level bands seem to spend more time talking about us than writing songs people actually remember. Maybe it’s jealousy, maybe it’s insecurity, maybe ticket sales are a little slow. Either way, borrowing someone else’s spotlight has never been much of a long-term career strategy... Anyway, maybe he needs to take a nap before he does more press.”

The sudden war of words breathes new life into a bitter history between the two camps. Sixx and Godsmack frontman Sully Erna famously engaged in a toxic, multi-year public feud following a disastrous joint tour package years ago—an experience that directly inspired Godsmack's hit single "Cryin' Like a Bitch." Furthermore, allegations surrounding Mötley Crüe's extensive use of backing tracks have been a lingering cloud over the band's recent touring eras, even becoming a core legal talking point during their high-profile court battle with estranged founding guitarist Mick Mars.

Do you agree with Larkin that backing tracks ruin the "dangerous" spirit of a live rock …
Academy Award winner Javier Bardem has revealed the secret behind his terrifyingly intense portrayal of Max Cady in the new Apple TV+ series adaptation of Cape Fear—and it involves a heavy dose of alternative metal. Speaking with Kerrang!, the actor detailed the specific heavy rock and metal artists he utilized to lock into the headspace of the iconic, vengeful antagonist.

Bardem explicitly highlighted Linkin Park, Slipknot, Bad Omens, and Falling in Reverse as the sonic foundations for his character prep. For Linkin Park, he noted that two specific tracks across the band's eras became essential to capturing Cady's inner turmoil:

“I listened to five songs especially. Two from Linkin Park: ‘Given Up,‘ with the great Chester [Bennington], and ‘Up From the Bottom‘ from the last album, From Zero. I think [Emily Armstrong] is an amazing singer. She really brought it back. Those two songs really express frustration and the fight for raising up from [one’s] own ashes that [resonates] with Max."

While Bardem admitted he struggles with individual song titles, he noted that tracks by Slipknot, Bad Omens, and Falling in Reverse lived in his head all day long on set to anchor his mood before the cameras started rolling. A notoriously passionate heavy music enthusiast, the actor confessed that metal isn't just a character exercise for him—it's his baseline lifestyle, noting that he even listens to Slipknot to fall asleep. "The older I get, the more I like it, and the less I like the other options," Bardem added. "The thing that makes my heart beat is metal."

The 10-episode psychological thriller series, based on the 1957 novel The Executioners and its classic 1962 and 1991 cinematic adaptations, made its streaming debut on June 5th. It is currently hitting the midway point of its run, with the series finale scheduled to drop on July 31st.

Can you hear the chaotic, aggressive influence of bands like Slipknot and Linkin Park coming through in Bardem's performance on screen?

Noah Kahan has officially taken drastic, hilarious action to ensure his fans remain on their best behavior on the road. During his concert last night at Rogers Stadium in Toronto, the singer actually paused the show to address the crowd with an official, legally binding verbal contract regarding basic bathroom hygiene.

Acknowledging that the conversation was "awkward and fresh in more ways than one," Kahan told the stadium crowd that upon entering the building, they entered a fundamental social contract. He announced that "Rule No. 2, besides don't literally fucking kill each other, is don't shit on the floor." He then commanded the thousands of fans in attendance to repeat a formal pledge back to him verbatim:

“I solemnly swear I will not shit my pants, and if I do, I won’t take it from my pants and put it on the floor.”

The tongue-in-cheek arena vow follows a widely discussed and thoroughly gross incident that went viral on Friday night during the opening date of Kahan's North American stadium leg at Philly's Citizens Bank Park. On that night, an attendee in Floor Section AA allegedly refused to leave their spot and miss a few songs, choosing instead to relieve themselves directly on the stadium floor.

Kahan had initially tried to handle the situation via a plea on social media, reminding concertgoers that underpaid venue workers shouldn't be left with a "1000-yard stare." Realizing a basic tweet wasn't enough to curb the trend, the singer decided to use his nightly platform to guarantee that the floor remains strictly for dancing.

Are you glad to see Noah setting some hard operational boundaries for crowd etiquette, or are you just stunned that a stadium pop show requires an actual bathroom pledge?

Multi-platinum hard rock heavyweights Bad Wolves have officially entered a brand-new era with the release of their intense new single and music video, "Paint It Red." Marking the band's first piece of material for 2026 via Better Noise Music, the track serves as the formal, fiery introduction of their new frontwoman, Killboy (Sara Skinner).

The high-stakes lineup change brings a completely re-energized dynamic to the band. Driven by heavy polyrhythmic riffs and a massive, crushing rhythm section, "Paint It Red" showcases the group's signature blend of radio-ready melodies and intricate instrumentation, while unlocking a broader, fresher sonic palette tailored to Killboy's versatile vocal delivery. The track builds toward a dark, chanting chorus: "And watch the blood flow down like a river from my mouth…'Cause they won't miss you when you're dead, so paint it red."

Bad Wolves founder, drummer, and primary songwriter John Boecklin expressed immense pride in the band's evolution, emphasizing that they weren't just looking for a quick replacement to fill a vacancy:

"The first time I heard Sara sing, I knew she was different. She has an incredible voice, undeniable presence, and the kind of versatility that allows us to take our songwriting to places we've never gone before. Beyond the talent, she's brought a renewed energy and excitement into this band. Sara isn't here to recreate the past, she's here to help us build the future."

The strategic June 29th release directly aligns with the primal energy of the late-June Strawberry Moon, a nod to the band's enduring wolf-centric lore. With an exclusive interview detailing the lineup shift already live at Revolver and promises of more new music dropping soon, Bad Wolves are fully locked and loaded for the future.

How do you feel about Killboy taking over the mic for Bad Wolves, and what do you think of the band's new sonic direction on "Paint It Red"?

Unreleased promotional material for country-rocker Aaron Lewis has taken a bizarre detour ahead of his album drop, turning up as literal garbage stuffing inside Taylor Swift merchandise shipments.

The odd crossover came to light when TikTok creator Christa Jo posted a viral unboxing video of her physical CD orders for Swift’s new single "I Knew It, I Knew You" (featured on the Toy Story 5 soundtrack). While digging through the protective recycled packing material, the fan pulled out a complete, albeit heavily shredded, music lyric book for Lewis’ upcoming album. Despite the damage, the imagery of the Staind frontman transposed over an American flag was completely unmistakable.

Lewis caught wind of the packing mishap and addressed it directly on social media, writing, "Oh look, there’s my new album, that hasn’t even been released yet, shredded as packaging paper in Taylor Swift merch. Ain’t that some shit." In a subsequent interview with USA Today, Lewis—who openly admits he doesn't use social media and has never even had a MySpace—confessed he found the entire situation completely baffling:

"I don't know how this happened. I hate to think it's malicious, but at the same time, I don't know that it's not."

Ironically, the blunder highlights a shared history between the two seemingly polar-opposite artists. Lewis is scheduled to release Give My Country Back on July 17th via Big Machine Label Group—the exact same record label that originally signed a teenage Taylor Swift as its flagship artist and launched her first six studio albums. Lewis has previously commended label boss Scott Borchetta for defending his right to free expression, even when they clash politically on Lewis' defiantly pro-MAGA country anthems.

Neither Big Machine nor Swift's camp have issued an official statement on how the unreleased booklets wound up in the industrial shredder.

Do you think this was just an innocent oversight at a shared printing facility, or is there a bit of music industry trolling at play?

Limp Bizkit gave their diehard European fan base a major setlist shock this past week, digging deep into their catalog to deliver a long-awaited live rarity. During their June 24th concert at the Parkbühne Wuhlheide in Berlin, Germany, the nu-metal icons unexpectedly launched into "Stuck," a fierce fan-favorite from their 2x platinum 1997 debut album, Three Dollar Bill, Y’all.

The performance didn't happen without a bit of hesitation from frontman Fred Durst. Shortly after starting the heavy track, Durst actually paused the band to directly ask the Berlin audience if the song was simply too old for them to be playing. However, the crowd answered with a massive wave of cheers and roars, encouraging Durst and the rest of the band to completely restart the song and blast through its first full live performance since 2014.

The surprise live bust-out comes as Limp Bizkit rides an unprecedented modern wave of global momentum. Guitarist Wes Borland recently commented on the band's staggering resurgence on the touring circuit, admitting that it feels like they are "the biggest we’ve ever been right now." With plenty of summer tour dates left on the horizon, fans across the globe will be keeping a close eye on the setlists to see if "Stuck" or other early classics continue to make appearances.

What classic, deep-cut track from Three Dollar Bill, Y'all are you hoping Fred and the band dust off next on this tour?

Baltimore hardcore outfit End It has officially returned to the stage, seemingly bringing a peaceful resolution to their highly publicized war against costume-clad concertgoers. During the band's June 27th set at the Jera On Air festival in Ysselsteyn, Netherlands, vocalist Akil Godsey was spotted hugging a fan dressed in a full banana suit. Godsey later reshared the photos on his Instagram story, lightheartedly captioning the moment, “The great Banana Treaty of Ysselsteyn.”

The sudden onstage truce comes after weeks of internet scrutiny and industry fallout stemming from the band's June 5th performance in Toronto, Ontario. During that set, Godsey infamously placed a bounty on a concertgoer wearing a banana costume, offering up the band’s physical setlist to anyone who could successfully tear the outfit apart. Proclaiming that the fan "wanted the attention, and now he has it," Godsey watched as members of the crowd aggressively ripped the suit to shreds. The incident sparked intense discourse within the scene regarding concert safety and artists inciting crowd violence over harmless crowd attire.

In the weeks of silence that followed, older footage resurfaced showing End It routinely targeting costumed fans. Meanwhile, the Toronto banana man clarified online that he was simply a fan of headliners Terror, was unfamiliar with End It's strict anti-costume stance, and frequently wears the suit to various shows just for fun. The backlash seemingly carried real professional consequences for the Baltimore band; they were reportedly dropped at the last minute from a highly anticipated fall tour package featuring Hatebreed and Life Of Agony, and their official Facebook page quietly vanished.

When Godsey finally addressed the situation in a video statement last week, he initially doubled down on the behavior, dismissively stating, “We’re a hardcore band, we do hardcore things.” However, kicking off their current European festival run, the band appears ready to move past the drama—one banana hug at a time.

Do you think the "Banana Treaty" is a genuine apology to the scene, or is it just a clever PR move to smooth things over after losing a major tour slot?

If you've noticed Disturbed keeping an incredibly low profile on the live circuit lately, guitarist Dan Donegan has officially stepped forward to clarify the band's sparse schedule. In a recent seven-minute Instagram Live video, Donegan confirmed that the multi-platinum modern rock titans will only be performing two shows for the entirety of 2026.

The decision to stay off the road follows the conclusion of their massive 25th-anniversary tour celebrating their 2000 debut album The Sickness, which wrapped up overseas in Glasgow, Scotland, back on October 28th, 2025. Donegan shared that the extended break has been highly intentional:

"Everybody's taking some down time, some family time, some personal things in our lives and finding our own ways to stay busy. But two shows this year. That's it."

Those two exclusive appearances are coming up fast in July. First, the band will headline opening night at the Inkcarceration Festival on Friday, July 17th, at the historic Ohio State Reformatory in Mansfield, Ohio—sharing the weekend's top bill with Limp Bizkit and Bad Omens. Exactly one week later on July 25th, the group will head south to play the Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, Florida, marking their first return to the venue in over two decades. Donegan admitted he's already experiencing "withdrawals" from the stage but noted that internal band discussions for 2027 are still strictly in the planning phases.

While live dates are rare this summer, the band is staying busy on the business front. Disturbed recently announced the launch of Molten Smoky Colas, a line of alcohol-free, zero-sugar beverages designed by drummer Mike Wengren. The initial product line features a smoky twist on the classic whiskey-and-cola flavor profile, infused with 5mg of hemp-derived THC, and is currently available in Smoky Cherry and Smoky Vanilla flavors, with non-THC versions expected to roll out in the near future.

Are you making the road trip to catch one of Disturbed's only two live appearances this summer, or are you hoping to crack open a Molten THC cola while waiting for a 2027 tour announcement?

In a new appearance on the Mark And Me podcast, Halestorm frontwoman Lzzy Hale opened up about the mental and physical shift required to take the stage every night, describing her pre-show nerves as a "beautiful panic." Hale revealed that when she or her bandmates aren't fully "feeling it" before a concert, they resort to high-energy tricks like running in place and yelling backstage to amp themselves up.

Hale, who labels herself a "reformed introvert," explained that about 15 minutes before showtime, an internal countdown begins where she can no longer sit still. She equates the rush to preparing to jump out of an airplane, which has sparked a nightly running joke with her bass player checking to see if he "packed her parachute."

A massive driver of that adrenaline is Halestorm's strict commitment to playing 100% live without backing tracks or click tracks. While Hale notes she isn't against other artists using playback rigs, she feels utilizing them would make her own shows feel too rigid, like a music video shoot. Guitarist Joe Hottinger echoed this sentiment, stating that rock and roll is supposed to be "a little dangerous" and that the band embraces making mistakes on stage. Drummer Arejay Hale also previously pointed out that while performing without a safety net is an uphill battle that requires immense focus and training, it allows the musicians to let the songs breathe and react directly to the crowd's energy.

This unfiltered, organic approach heavily anchored the band's latest musical chapter. Halestorm's sixth studio album, Everest, was released last August via Atlantic Records, featuring production work by Dave Cobb.

Do you prefer the raw, unpredictable energy of a completely live rock show where anything can happen, or do you think backing tracks have a valid place in modern touring?

Blink-182 co-founder Tom DeLonge is officially expanding his creative empire into the world of adult animation with his highly anticipated new series, Breaking Bear. The official trailer for the project has made its debut online, offering a first look at a raunchy, action-packed narrative that DeLonge concisely describes as “a ridiculous show about animals doing drugs.”

The series centers around a family of articulate, talking bears who decide to build a massive illegal narcotics empire in order to fund the defense of their beloved forest from corporate frackers, while simultaneously battling a parade of violent, underworld enemies. The freshly released trailer leans heavily into crude, fast-paced humor and a chaotic visual style.

DeLonge has assembled an elite, star-studded voice cast to bring the forest animals to life, including Academy Award winner Brendan Fraser, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Annie Murphy, Josh Gad, and Elizabeth Hurley. Fans won't have to wait long to binge the project, as Breaking Bear is officially locked to premiere on the streaming service Tubi on July 24th.

While DeLonge dives into animation, the musical engine of Blink-182 is simultaneously keeping things moving. The pop-punk legends recently celebrated the landmark 25th anniversary of their classic 2001 record Take Off Your Pants and Jacket. Looking ahead to the live circuit, the trio has formally announced a major European tour slated to kick off in June 2027, ensuring fans will see the band return to their natural habitat on the road next summer.

Are you tuning into Tom DeLonge's wild new animation venture next month, or are you already counting down the days to the 2027 tour dates?

The "I Love the '90s" installment of Donald Trump's Freedom 250 concert series was officially rained out last night. Following a wave of high-profile artist dropouts last month—including Milli Vanilli, Young MC, and C+C Music Factory—Vanilla Ice was left as the sole remaining '90s performer on the bill. However, the performance was ultimately canceled just two hours before showtime due to incoming severe weather.

Hours before the cancellation, Vanilla Ice had shared an enthusiastic video on social media from the venue site, promising fans an "epic" party. Drummer Trent Laugerman later took to his Instagram Story to confirm the sudden shutdown, stating:

"I hate to announce it but there was thunderstorms rolling through and there might be one more and unfortunately they had to cancel the show. So. Not even really angry just kind of bummed because we were looking forward to it."

While the Freedom 250 organizers stated that the event's public fairgrounds were closed for safety to monitor the conditions, some attendees noted it appeared to mostly drizzle. Because Vanilla Ice is locked in for a performance in Tulare, California tonight, a rescheduled D.C. appearance is off the table.

As it stands, country veteran Lee Greenwood kicked off the event's music slate this past Wednesday, June 25th. Pop-rap star Flo Rida remains the only other originally booked performer who has not canceled his appearance, with his set still currently scheduled to go off on July 2nd.

Did you think Vanilla Ice would make it to the stage as the final '90s artist standing, or did the weather forecast write the final chapter for this lineup?

Folk-pop sensation Noah Kahan has officially kicked off the highly anticipated North American stadium leg of The Great Divide Tour, but the opening night at Philadelphia's Citizens Bank Park is making headlines for all the wrong reasons. Just days after Kahan had to ask fans to stop stealing the town line signs from his actual Vermont home, he found himself addressing an even more baffling and stomach-churning situation occurring right in the concert seats.

Taking to social media today to address the behavior of certain concertgoers, Kahan didn't hold back his disbelief, pleading:

"If you have to poop at a show please dear god just go to the bathroom lmao I’ve pooped my pants as much as the next 29 year old but you guys gotta understand there’s a venue worker out there with a 1000 yard stare after dealing with that."

He playfully followed it up by poking fun at himself, joking, "I shit myself onstage in Charlottesville but that’s because I am dedicated to my craft."

The singer's public plea came after details surfaced on Reddit from a horrified attendee sitting directly behind the incident in Floor Section AA. According to the eyewitness account, an individual seemingly refused to leave their spot and miss a few songs, choosing instead to relieve themselves directly on the stadium floor before attempting to conceal it, forcing surrounding fans to frantically flag down ballpark security.

The bizarre trend follows recent comments from pop star Olivia Rodrigo regarding general admission fans wearing adult diapers to avoid losing their barricade spots, but Kahan's Philadelphia crowd managed to take concert etiquette to a shocking new low.

Did you ever think a stadium rock show would require a PSA on basic bathroom usage, or are crowd behaviors officially getting out of hand?

The Frst has shattered genre boundaries with the release of their eclectic new single, "Black Rose." The track serves as a heavy country-metalcore mashup, bringing in Florida death metal outfit Bodybox and Nashville singer-songwriter Logan Ledger to create a chaotic blend of traditional honky-tonk aesthetics and crushing slam-metal blast beats. The unique crossover was mixed by MO Metal (Nik Nocturnal) and mastered by Sam Moses, whose previous credits include Underoath and Jelly Roll.

The country-metal experiment arrives hot on the heels of the band's recent collaboration with mathcore favorites The Callous Daoboys on the track "Bvllets." While a country-death metal fusion might sound shocking on paper, Mikei Gray—the driving force behind The Frst—explains that the connection between the two scenes is deeper than most think:

"We didn’t make 'Black Rose' just for the sake of shock value — these genres actually have a lot more in common than meets the eye. A lot of the folks in the country industry are metalheads, and similarly a lot of great metal bands grew up in the sticks, so to speak. Not to mention, we all played country music in Nashville before the band, so it really just made sense."

The heavy partnership is business as usual for the project. The Frst have routinely leaned into prominent scene collaborations, having previously worked with vocalists like Kellin Quinn (Sleeping With Sirens) and Craig Owens (Chiodos) on their 2025 album This Never Happened.

What do you think of this wild intersection of honky-tonk and slam metal? Does the mix of country and deathcore work for you?

Alt-rock juggernauts Muse have officially released their brand-new studio album, The Wow! Signal. Among the record's most anticipated tracks is a powerhouse duet with pop star Ellie Goulding titled "Hush." According to the band, the collaborative track represents "a last desperate grasp for connection between two souls in the midst of an apocalyptic event."

The monumental moment is a full-circle experience for Goulding, who has been an avid Muse fan for decades. She recently shared that back in 2002, she used to manually copy the iconic guitar riff from "Plug in Baby" to create her own custom Nokia ringtone. Now, standing alongside the band on an official track, she expressed feeling "insanely grateful" for the opportunity.

In addition to the duet, the newly released album features the previously unleashed singles "Be with You" and "Unravelling." Fans won't have to wait long to hear the new material live, as Muse is scheduled to kick off their highly anticipated U.S. tour next week on July 2nd at Milwaukee Summerfest.

Are you ready to hear Muse take a cinematic, apocalyptic turn with Ellie Goulding? Which new track are you spinning first?

Despite pouring rain, rock fans packed a sold-out PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, New Jersey, for a spectacular stop of Sammy Hagar's limited-run Best of All Worlds Tour. Drenched but incredibly enthusiastic concertgoers sporting Van Halen, Springfield, and Hagar merchandise filled the venue to witness a powerhouse lineup celebrating nearly every era of Hagar’s historic musical career.

Opening the evening, Rick Springfield brought an undeniable wave of energy and fun to the amphitheater despite weather constraints cutting into his time slot. Working the stage in a checkered leather jacket—which he later ditched—Springfield delighted the audience with signature hits like "Human Touch" and "Don't Talk to Strangers," eventually making his way right up to the fans at the edge of the stage. He closed his high-octane set with a massive, venue-wide singalong to his legendary number-one anthem, "Jessie's Girl."

Shortly after, Sammy Hagar took the stage alongside an elite band of rock veterans including bassist Michael Anthony, guitar virtuoso Joe Satriani, drummer Kenny Aronoff, and keyboardist Greg Phillinganes. Hagar playfully acknowledged the stormy weather by kicking off the show with a cover of Bob Dylan’s “Rainy Day Women #12 & 35” before launching straight into the Van Halen classic “Why Can't This Be Love.”

The hit-heavy setlist seamlessly bridged Hagar's diverse catalog, pairing solo anthems like "Heavy Metal," "There's Only One Way to Rock," and "I Can't Drive 55" with Van Halen staples such as "Cabo Wabo," "Runaround
Hard rock mainstays The Pretty Reckless have officially released Dear God, their highly anticipated fifth studio album and first full-length record since 2021's Death by Rock and Roll. Led by powerhouse frontwoman Taylor Momsen, the new album leans into the band's most personal songwriting to date, seamlessly balancing massive, arena-ready rock anthems with moments of deep reflection. Tracks such as "When I Wake Up" and "Love Me" capture the group's signature sonic intensity, while standout cuts like "Devil In Disguise (Michelle's Song)" dive into themes of grief and healing with a striking sense of vulnerability.

Produced by the collaborative team of Taylor Momsen, Ben Phillips, and Jonathan Wyman, Dear God arrives during one of the most successful chapters of the band's career. The album's charge is led by the single "When I Wake Up," which recently clinched the No. 1 spot on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Airplay chart. This achievement marks the band's historic ninth No. 1 single, extending their record for the most chart-toppers by a female-fronted or solo woman-led act in the chart's history. The new record is available on all major music platforms today.

Which track from Dear God are you diving into first—the high-octane anthems or the more vulnerable, introspective songs?

Multi-platinum hard rock powerhouses Five Finger Death Punch have officially announced their highly anticipated tenth studio album, Legacy. The album's digital version is scheduled to arrive on July 31st, while physical editions—including CD, vinyl, and cassette—will land on September 18th. Reflecting on the milestone, guitarist Zoltan Bathory shared that the record is "a reflection on the journey, the lessons, the victories, the struggles, and everything we've experienced over the last two decades" alongside their global fanbase. Vocalist Ivan Moody added that the 20-year mark is a milestone rather than a destination, stating, "Legacy isn't about looking backward... it captures everything people love about Five Finger Death Punch while also pointing toward where we're headed next."

Coinciding with the album announcement, the band has unleashed their brand-new track, "De Oppresso Liber," complete with an accompanying music video. Gold-certified Mongolian folk metal force The HU have officially unleashed their brand-new track "Grey Hun" across digital platforms today, complete with a cinematic accompanying music video directed by Dashdondog Bayarmagnai.

The track carries a strong thematic message centered on self-acceptance and inner strength. The band's own Enkhsaikhan “Enkush” Batjargal pulled back the curtain on the song's sonic origins and deeper purpose, sharing:

“‘Grey Hun‘ is a song that encourages everyone to be comfortable with just being themselves. It started with composing the riff as I imagined a man riding his horse through a vast landscape. From there, it took a while for us to finish the song because we wanted to make sure to clearly communicate the positive message of the song.”

"Grey Hun" serves as a primary teaser for the group’s highly anticipated upcoming studio album, Hun, which is locked in for a July 24th release date via Better Noise Music. To support the brand new material, The HU are preparing to embark on a massive slate of international touring. This includes a highly anticipated summer U.S. tour serving as the direct opening act for industrial metal heavyweights Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson, followed by a European and UK trek alongside SKÁLD.

Boston-based blues trio GA-20 has ignited a massive online debate about the aviation industry's treatment of musicians' property after sharing a viral video of a pre-flight TSA security checkpoint ordeal. The incident occurred at San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport in California, where an overzealous agent insisted on physically dismantling a high-end Mono Creators guitar case.

According to the band—which features guitarist Matthew Stubbs, vocalist/guitarist Cody Nilsen, and drummer Josh Kiggans—all members hold TSA PreCheck status. Despite this, the agent refused to run the case through the X-ray machine until he had spent 20 minutes ripping out the interior padding and stuffing, which he was then unable to put back together. The band noted that the physical swabbing of the case wasn't deemed enough by the agent, rendering the $380 premium gig bag completely ruined. "The gig bag is trash now," the band shared on social media, noting sarcastically that they were handed a business card to file an email complaint.

The viral clip quickly drew outrage from the music community, with prominent guitarists like Guthrie Trapp calling the situation "f*cking insanity" and singer-songwriter Bones Owens echoing frustrations regarding a widespread lack of care and common sense toward musicians' livelihoods during air travel. Official TSA policy notes that musical instruments must undergo screening and physical inspection at checkpoints, advising travelers to inform officers if an instrument requires special care—though GA-20's experience shows that communication doesn't always prevent disaster.

Have you ever had a nightmare experience trying to get your musical gear or valuable equipment through airport security?

The Rolling Stones have released their brand-new single "Jealous Lover" alongside a star-studded music video starring Anya Taylor-Joy and Charles Melton. Directed by Chris Barrett and Luke Taylor, the cinematic video is streaming exclusively on Amazon Music. Pivoting away from the upbeat, pop-rock energy of their previous single "In The Stars," "Jealous Lover" taps into a soulful, R&B-infused groove featuring a captivating falsetto lead vocal from Mick Jagger, subtle guitar interplay from Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood, and distinctive Rhodes and organ textures from longtime collaborator Steve Winwood.

The single dropped as a double-release alongside another fresh track titled "Divine Intervention," which marks one of two songs on the band's upcoming album to feature a special guest appearance by The Cure frontman Robert Smith on electric guitar. Both tracks are set to appear on the band's highly anticipated 25th studio album, Foreign Tongues, which is scheduled to drop on July 10th via Capitol Records. The dynamic new record was captured in under a month at Metropolis Studios in West London alongside Grammy-winning producer Andrew Watt.

Adding to the excitement, Episode 1 of the band's new six-part companion podcast, Speaking In Tongues, launched today across all major streaming platforms. Hosted by lifelong fan and singer-songwriter Norah Jones, the intimate audio series takes listeners behind the scenes into the studio with Mick, Keith, and Ronnie as they reflect on the songwriting process, creative influences, and album collaborators like Watt, Winwood, Smith, and cover artist Nathaniel Mary Quinn.

Are you excited to hear Mick Jagger take on a soulful R&B groove, or are you more curious to hear what the band sounds like collaborating with Robert Smith?
