Kurt Cobain: Images from Final Photoshoot Being Auctioned as an NFT

The images from the final formal photoshoot of Kurt Cobain are set to become non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and will soon be auctioned off.

Photographer Jesse Frohman launched a new website for the auction, which will be taking place on May 3 at 12 PM ET. The website describes the photoshoot, dubbed “The Last Session,” at length including how Cobain was four hours late due to being “holed up in his hotel room.”

The description notes, “Even casual Nirvana fans instinctively recognize the tattered leopard print coat or the pair of white Jackie O sunglasses Kurt wore that day, the faded nail polish, a dying cigarette.”

The description adds, “Over the past 27 years, The Last Session images have grown into the memorial artifact of Kurt Cobain, an intimate moment with one of the last great rock stars, a hero to the disaffected, and an enigma that will never be fully understood.”

There are various collections and groupings in which the NFTs will be sold. To view those collections and for more details, head over to NFT.JesseFrohman.com.
