Muse just dropped a heavy new track titled “Won’t Stand Down,” their first piece of new music since their 2018 album Simulation Theory.

In a statement on the track, singer Matt Bellamy said, “‘Won’t Stand Down’ is a song about standing your ground against bullies, whether that be on the playground, at work or anywhere. Protecting yourself from coercion and sociopathic manipulation and to face adversity with strength, confidence and aggression.”

Muse has yet to confirm details on a potential new album, but when sharing “Won’t Stand Down” via social media, the band said in a joint statement, “Been counting down the days… we’re excited to share what we’ve been working on with you. Enjoy everyone!”

“Won’t Stand Down” is available for streaming and download here.
