311 Brings the Unity Tour to Festival Pier

311, the band famous for fusing reggae, rap and rock were back at Festival Pier in Philadelphia, PA on July 21, 2017.  In support of MOSAIC, 311 are currently in the midst of their extensive headlining tour of North America for the 18th summer in a row. The Unity Tour 2017 features special guests New Politics. Mosiac, which was released in June, took over two years to complete, the longest the band has spent creating an album.  Normally 311 will record a large amount of songs and only put some of the them on the album. This time around, they decided to put every song they recorded on the album.  The result is 17 feel good summer songs like ‘The City’s on Fire’ and ‘Too Much To Think.’

“We do keep that in mind what’s going to be fun to play live,” Hexum said. “There’s also our natural tendency towards a kind of outdoorsy life, therefore the music reflects that.”
