Foo Fighters: New Album Coming in March Per British DJ

Foo Fighters are busy announcing more and more headlining festival dates for 2023. However, could the year also bring new music? A DJ in the U.K. may have accidentally revealed that news.

Per Metal Injection, Radio X DJ Chris Moyles said following playing “Walk” on his February 7 show, “I love that song so much – Foo Fighters, and ‘Walk.’ They’ve got a new album coming out in, er, March, Foo Fighters… which I’m very much looking forward to.” Metal Injection noted following the comment, Moyles moved on and didn’t address it further on the show.

Despite being obvious, it bears mentioning that nothing has been confirmed. Of course, the exact future of the Foo Fighters remains a hot topic in the rock world after the sudden death of drummer Taylor Hawkins in March 2022.

On New Year’s Eve, the Foos issued a statement via their social media channels acknowledging their unsure future. The statement read, in part, “Without Taylor, we never would have become the band that we were – and without Taylor, we know that we’re going to be a different band going forward.” The statement concluded, “We also know that you, the fans, meant as much to Taylor as he meant to you.  And we know that when we see you again – and we will soon – he’ll be there in spirit with all of us every night.”

The only thing certain for the Foo Fighters is that they’re headlining many 2023 festivals. A current list of festivals is below.
