One very talented Metallica and Stranger Things fan has created a larger-than-life light show on his house soundtracked to “Master of Puppets.”
Tom BetGeorge is the force behind this incredible light show, which also features a nod to Ghostbusters at the end with the use of the Ray Parker Jr. hit “Ghostbusters.” As if the house and yard displays weren’t enough, a fleet of drones are utilized above the house to create a variety of shapes from the Metallica logo to the Ghostbusters logo.
BetGeorge has a history for these light shows as evident on his YouTube channel. Two Halloweens ago, he created a lightshow to “Enter Sandman.” He also did a Christmas light show set to Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s “Sarajevo.”
Metallica has been enjoying the love they received after their classic song “Master of Puppets” was used in the season four finale of Stranger Things. Following its use in Stranger Things, the track made its debut on the Billboard Hot 100 chart 36 years after its initial release.
Metallica went on to close out their headlining set at Lollapalooza on July 28 with “Master of Puppets” and projected Stranger Things character Eddie Munson performing the track on their onstage screens.
Joseph Quinn, the actor that plays Eddie Munson, said in a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon of filming the “Master of Puppets” scene for Stranger Things, “It was kind of nerve-racking, but it was a weird point in the pandemic where no one had seen any live music for ages…I was nervous, but it was kind of like a rock concert, and I got to feel like a rock star for one night, and that was pretty great. That’s all I need.”
