A Motley Crue, Steely Dan Mashup That Really Works

Motley Crue and Steely Dan are polar opposites in the music world, but YouTuber Bill McClintock manages to create mashups that are nothing short of surprising.

McClintock took the Crue’s “Looks That Kill” and mashed it together with Steely Dan’s “Do It Again”. For some added fun, Ted Nugent’s “Cat Scratch Fever” and Van Halen’s “Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love” is included.

In the video’s description, McClintock writes, “This is a remake of the very first mashup I did back in 2017. YouTube removed it two years ago due to a copyright claim. I believe the copyrighted content claimed was the music video for Looks That Kill. I completely redid the video using live footage for that song.”

“This remake will hopefully showcase some of the things I have learned about music/video editing over the past five years.”

In other Crue news: The band are in hot water over some nudity shenanigans during their Stadium Tour sets. As previously reported, a fan that attended the Stadium Tour stop in San Francisco was stunned when Tommy Lee asked the crowd to “expose their genitals.” A number obliged, with some ending up on the Jumbotron.

The fan in question is Juan Alvarez. He said to San Francisco’s ABC affiliate KGO-TV, “Minors and everyone was forced to see people nude on the big screen and everyone was doing it around us too.” He added, “It was like Sodom and Gomorrah, it was crazy.”

News of this report made its way back to Lee. He tweeted video of the report and captioned it, “The world is too soft! Been doing this s— for years Juan! Mötley Crüe concerts aren’t PG and never have been!!!! Grow the f— up!” Lee followed that up with, “Complaining about seeing t— at a Mötley Crüe concert is like complaining about seeing cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory.”
