Activate, known as “the world’s first active gaming experience,” has opened its first location in New Jersey and Greater Philadelphia in Cherry Hill. This new venue adds to a growing network of over 50 locations worldwide. The Cherry Hill site, located at 1509 Route 38 in the former Rite Aid, opened on Friday, Nov. 21.
At Activate, you can expect immersive, light-up rooms filled with fun physical challenges like climbing walls, puzzles, and laser dodging. Each session can accommodate two to five players, making it perfect for friends or family.
Families make up about 70% of Activate’s visitors, with the rest being groups of adult friends. The age minimum is 6, and kids aged 6 to 13 must be accompanied by an adult. While the games are designed for adults, they may be tough for kids under 10.
Activate started in Winnipeg in 2019 and has big plans for the future. They aim to open around 200 more locations in North America, Europe, and Dubai over the next decade. For more details, check out Activate’s FAQs. Get ready for a unique gaming experience that combines fun and fitness!
