Alex Van Halen Marks His First Birthday Without Eddie Van Halen With a Tribute

Alex Van Halen took a moment on his birthday (May 8) to pay tribute to his late brother/bandmate, Eddie Van Halen.

In a brief statement to Van Halen News Desk, Alex said, “First birthday without you, Ed. The view from my drum set will never be the same. VH forever!”

Eddie Van Halen passed away on October 6, 2020 following a bout with cancer at the age of 65. Two days later, Alex Van Halen issued a statement to Van Halen News Desk saying. “Hey Ed. Love you. See you on the other side. Your brother, Al.” The statement was accompanied by a photo of Alex and Eddie together as young children.
