Atom Willard is no longer the drummer for Alkaline Trio. He announced his departure in an Instagram post on Monday, saying, “I have parted ways with Alkaline Trio. Thanks to everyone who made my time there so awesome. I’m very thankful for the experience.”
Willard is now looking for new opportunities in the studio, collaborations, and touring. He joined Alkaline Trio in 2023 after longtime drummer Derek Grant left the band. During his time with the group, they released their first single featuring Willard, titled “Oblivion,” in July. This track was one of three they recorded with blink-182’s Travis Barker as the producer.
As of now, Alkaline Trio has not announced a new drummer. Fans will be eager to see who will fill the spot next!
