Ariana Grande And Kid Cudi Share Glittering Performance Video For ‘Just Look Up’

Ariana Grande and Kid Cudi have shared a new performance video for their collaboration “Just Look Up”, which will feature in the new movie Don’t Look Up.

The film was directed by The Big Short’s Adam McKay and will boast appearances from both Grande and Cudi in its scenes. The star-studded cast also includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Meryl Streep, Jonah Hill, Timothée Chalamet, Cate Blanchett, and more.

The performance video sees Grande and Cudi singing the soaring track from the stage of an arena, surrounded by fans illuminating the venue with lights attached to their fingers. The screen behind the stars shows galactic imagery, referencing the movie’s plot, which follows an astronomy student (Lawrence) and her professor (DiCaprio) as they discover a comet in the solar system that’s on a direct collision course with Earth.

Just look up/There is no place to hide,” Grande sings on the song’s chorus. “True love doesn’t die/It holds on tight and never lets you go.”

In Don’t Look Up, Grande plays singer Riley Bina, while Cudi appears as DJ Chello. The movie is in theaters now and will arrive on Netflix worldwide on December 24.

McKay’s new comedy isn’t Grande’s first time appearing on the big screen. In 2016, the pop megastar had a cameo in Zoolander 2, while her career began in TV. Since appearing in Nickelodeon show Victorious, the singer has also starred in Ryan Murphy’s Scream Queens and a TV version of Hairspray Live!.

Grande’s next confirmed acting role will be as Glinda, in Crazy Rich Asians director Jon M. Chu’s adaptation of the Broadway musical Wicked.

Meanwhile, the star was one of the three most-played artists across radio formats in 2021, according to a year-end report from Mediabase. Grande appeared on the list alongside the likes of The Weeknd, Justin Bieber, Dua Lipa and Olivia Rodrigo. She was also the most-played artist overall at Top 40 radio.
