Geezer Butler, the bassist of Black Sabbath, recently visited Las Vegas after the band’s farewell concert. He went to see the Backstreet Boys perform at their Sphere residency. While there, he met the members of the boy band backstage and shared a fun photo on Instagram.
In his post, Butler joked, “Thanks for letting me audition, but after much consideration, I decided to stick with bass guitar.” He made it clear he was just kidding about the audition but added, “Great show last night, though.” The Backstreet Boys responded in the comments, saying, “Thanks for coming, man!”
Black Sabbath’s farewell concert, called Back to the Beginning, took place on July 5. This show featured the original lineup—Geezer Butler, Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, and Bill Ward—performing together for the last time. It was also Ozzy’s final live performance. Fans can look forward to seeing Back to the Beginning in theaters in 2026.
