New Found Glory guitarist Chad Gilbert is on the mend after surgery to remove three brain tumors. He shared the news on Instagram, explaining that during a show on February 20, he started having trouble with his left hand and noticed his left leg was getting weaker.
On February 23, he went to the emergency room, where a CT scan revealed the tumors. He had successful surgery on February 27 and has been recovering in the hospital since then.
Gilbert reported that he regained function in his left hand right after the surgery. His radiation oncologist reassured him, saying, “This is not a fatal blow and not the end of your story, just the beginning of a new chapter.”
Chad has faced health challenges before, having been diagnosed with a tumor in 2021. Fans are sending their love and support as he continues to recover. We wish him a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him back on stage soon!
