Lead vocalist of Slipknot, Corey Taylor, has called off his upcoming solo tour across North America, justifying his decision with a need to prioritize his physical and mental wellbeing. In a social media post, Taylor revealed, “I am deeply saddened to announce that my impending North American tour will be cancelled.” My physiological and psychological well-being have been deteriorating in the previous months, putting me and my family in a precarious situation. I’m aware that this choice may surprise some and may not be well-received by others. However, after closely examining my current state and future trajectory, it’s imperative that I step back and spend time with my family for now. All of you who purchased tickets and VIP packages for the upcoming event will receive a complete reimbursement. I express my affection towards my supporters, my music group, my family and friends, and all those who have assisted me on my journey so far. I assure you that I’m putting all my efforts into maintaining the best possible health. Until that time, I’m sorry to all those we would have encountered on our tour and we hope to have the chance to meet you further along in the future. Recently, Taylor made his second solo album, CMF2, public. His plan was to go on a tour across the U.S. and Canada, with Des Rocs and Jigsaw Youth providing support. The tour was slated for February and March 2024. Editorial credit goes to Tracy Daniel / Shutterstock.com.
