Assault charges against Tool drummer Danny Carey stemming from a December 2021 arrest at Kansas City International Airport have been dropped.
Per Kansas City Fox affiliate Fox 4, the prosecutors in Carey’s case dropped all charges. No reason was disclosed for dropping the charges. However, the court noted the case is “a closed confidential matter as of January 23.”
As previously reported, Carey was arrested on December 12, 2021 following a physical altercation with another person at Kansas City International Airport. At the time, Carey was booked on misdemeanor assault. A police report from the incident claimed Carey shoved the other person in the chest with two fingers. Additionally, Carey also allegedly shouted a homophobic slur multiple times at the other person.
