Dave Grohl Releasing Expanded Edition of Memoir ‘The Storyteller’

Dave Grohl has more stories to tell via a new expanded edition of his best-selling memoir The Storyteller.

The Foo Fighters frontman shared via social media that the paperback edition of his memoir is due out this October. Pre-order sites show the exact release date currently is October 31. Its tagline reads, “Expanded…because there’s more to the story.” The expanded edition of The Storyteller is available for pre-order at DaveGrohlStoryteller.com.

The Storyteller has sold nearly one million copies. Upon its release in October 2021, the memoir topped the New York Times’ hardcover nonfiction list and the combined print & e-book nonfiction list. At the time, Grohl released a statement saying, “Never in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine that I would someday be a number one bestselling author, but it’s those same wildest dreams that I’ve followed since the day I picked up a guitar. Honored.”

Of course, the expanded edition of The Storyteller might be one fans will want to pick, even if they own the original. Grohl went through a lot between the book’s initial release and the release of the paperback expanded edition. The two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Famer mourned the loss of his Foo Fighters bandmate, Taylor Hawkins, and his mother, Virginia.

In other words: Fans better have tissues handy while reading the new passages. We have a hunch things will get emotional.
