David Bowie ‘Moonage Daydream’ Documentary Finally Has a Release Date

David Bowie is the subject of a new highly-anticipated documentary whose trailer first dropped in May, and now that documentary has a release date.

Confirmed via the official Bowie TwitterMoonage Daydream will hit theaters and IMAX screens worldwide on September 16.

 

As previously reported, the film is described as, “A cinematic odyssey exploring David Bowie’s creative and musical journey.” The film is written and directed by Brett Morgen, who was the force behind the 2015 Kurt Cobain documentary Cobain: Montage of HeckUnlike previously released Bowie films in recent years, Moonage Daydream has been sanctioned by the late artist’s estate.
