Deep Purple & Judas Priest Bring Classic Rock and Metal to Camden, NJ

Metal gods Judas Priest and classic rock pioneers Deep Purple were in Camden, NJ at the BB&T Pavilion on Sunday September 9, 2018.  Supporting both bands was The Temperance Movement, a British “classic” rock band that fit right in with the headliners.

Judas Priest took to the stage in support of their latest album “Firepower” with giant displays behind them showing mostly fire on them during their set.  Rob Halford commanded the stage, changing his leather jackets multiple times and even riding out on a motorcycle at one point.  Guitarist Richie Faulkner was an absolute treat to watch as he shredded through each song making it hard to take your eyes off of him.  The setlist included some newers songs like “Firepower” as well as their biggest hits “Living After Midnight,” “Breaking The Law” and “You’ve Got Another Thing Comin.”

Deep Purple along with their iconic guitar riffs closed out the night.  Singer Ian Gillian used his incredible vocals to elevate those classic songs during their live performance.  Out supporting their 2017 album “inFinite” their set still included those 70’s hits like “Smoke on the Water” and “Highway Star.”
