Duncan Jones Pays Tribute to David Bowie on 5th Anniversary of His Death

Duncan Jones to a moment yesterday (January 10) on what was the 5th anniversary of David Bowie’s death to pay tribute to his late father.

Jones shared via Twitter, “Today marks 5 years since dad died. We are all a little sad, coping individually in our own ways. But it’s both remarkable & delightful that dad is still so clearly loved by so many. Yes, he’s missed… but with so much of ‘him’ in the work he made, he’s clearly still here.”

Bowie died just two days after his 69th birthday following a private battle with liver cancer. On his 69th birthday, Bowie released his twenty-fifth and final studio album Blackstar, the artwork of which was included in Jones’ Twitter tribute.
