An Eddie Van Halen mural in Hollywood has finally been completed and has been unveiled in all its stunning glory in honor of the guitarist’s 66th birthday.

Artist Robert Vargas shared the completed mural via his social media channels which shows EVH playing his iconic Frankenstrat guitar in front of a massive Van Halen band logo. The mural’s exact location in Hollywood is at the Guitar Center location on Sunset Blvd.

Another memorial is currently being considered in Pasadena, Calif., the city where Eddie and Alex Van Halen grew up. Per Pasadena NowPasadena City Council “…was unanimous in their support for recognizing the legendary guitarist, who helped start the group Van Halen.” The City Council is currently exploring ideas and locations of an Eddie Van Halen memorial including at the Pasadena Convention Center and Civic Auditorium where Van Halen played some of their first gigs in the early years of the band’s existence
