This fall, Elvis Costello will bring his solo Detour tour to the United States. Today, the legendary singer-songwriter announced a handful of shows in the South and Midwest.
The tour will commence on Oct. 3 at the Paramount Theatre in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. From there, he will play 10 more dates before winding it up two weeks later at the Cobb Energy Centre on Oct. 18. This includes concerts in two of Costello’s favorite venues, the Saenger Theater in New Orleans (Oct. 15) and the iconic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville (Oct. 17).
Costello just wound up a month-long solo tour of Europe, and he’ll be back there with the Imposters for most of July. But he will hit the U.S. for two solo shows in the U.S., at the Newport Folk Festival on July 24 and the inaugural Ohana Festival in Dana Point, Calif., on Aug. 27. Ohana will be headlined by Eddie Vedder and Lana Del Rey, and will also feature sets by such names as Mudhoney, Band of Horses and Cat Power.
