Foo Fighters’ Taylor Hawkins celebrates his birthday today (February 17), so let’s go back a bit in time and watch one of our favorite TV moments from the drummer.

The band was taking part in “Carpool Karaoke” on The Late Late Show with James Corden back in September 2017, and frankly, whenever there’s a rock artist in the car with Corden, it’s a big deal, since it’s usually dominated by pop stars.

The highlight of the segment came when the video culminates with a visit to Guitar Center for a spontaneous jam but not before being greeted by a massive photo of Hawkins above the music store’s entrance, which was easily one of the best organic laughs in the entire segment.

The ensuing jam is also pretty great, and naturally includes Rick Astley, who was popping up during Foo Fighters shows at that time when they were touring overseas.
