Flea Rumored to be Cast in New ‘Star Wars’ Series

Flea might be adding yet another massive credit to his already diverse acting resume, and this time, it’s with the Star Wars franchise.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist is rumored to be featured in the Disney+ series Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi according to the fan-site StarWarsNewsNet.com. What role Flea will play is not yet know, but the site notes, “We also know that he will be wielding a cool-looking blaster.”

In recent years, Flea has appeared in the films Queen & Slim, Toy Story 4 and Baby Driver. Other notable film roles from Flea include Back to the Future Part II & III, My Own Private Idaho, The Big Lebowski and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

The trailer for Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi was released today, which is appropriate since May 4th is a holiday (#MayThe4thBeWithYou) to Star Wars fans. Per the trailer’s caption on YouTube, “The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of ‘Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith’ where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat—the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader. The series stars Ewan McGregor, reprising his role as the iconic Jedi Master, and also marks the return of Hayden Christensen in the role of Darth Vader.”

Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi begins streaming on Disney+ on May 27.
