Foo Fighters had a couple of surprises during their headlining set at the Fuji Rock Festival in Japan over the weekend.

First, the Foos brought out Alanis Morissette to join the band on a cover of Sinéad O’Connor’s “Mandinka.” Before launching into the song, Morissette dedicated the performance to “a beautiful woman of high intelligence and deep empathy, way ahead of her time, who is no longer with us.”

O’Connor died on July 26 at age 56. Her cause of death is currently unknown. As previously reported, there was no foul play in O’Connor’s death. An autopsy is being conducted to help determine her cause of death.

Later in the set, the Foos brought out a second guest: Weezer’s Patrick Wilson. Weezer’s Instagram shared photos from Wilson’s guest appearance. The band wrote as a caption, “On night 1 of the @fujirock_jp Festival, during the @foofighters set, Dave Grohl introduced Patrick Wilson as ‘The 7th Foo Fighter…. we stole him from Weezer!’ Patrick played ‘Big Me’ on guitar and then Dave said, ‘You can see him with his other band tomorrow night!’”
