Foo Fighters are fully embracing their fandom of the Brothers Gibb with a new Record Store Day LP featuring covers of classic songs from the Bee Gees and Andy Gibb.
The album comes out on July 17, the second of two Record Store Day “Drop” days. The LP is released under the name “The Dee Gees” and is titled Hail Satin, which is so brilliant it hurts! The Dee Gees made their debut in February when the Foo Fighters first covered “You Should Be Dancing” as part of an appearance on Jo Wiley’s BBC Radio 2 Sofa Session.
Side A of Hail Satin is comprised of covers which include “You Should Be Dancing,” “Night Fever,” “Tragedy,” “Shadow Dancing” and “More Than a Woman.”
Side B of Hail Satin finds the Foos highlighting their latest album, Medicine At Midnight, with live renditions of “Making A Fire,” “Shame Shame,” “Waiting on a War,” “No Son of Mine” and “Cloudspotter.”
