Green Day Assists Anxious Mom by Inviting Her Child on Stage at Riot Fest

Green Day headlined Riot Fest in Chicago on Sunday, and a special moment happened during their performance. Frontman Billie Joe Armstrong brought a fan named Argyle onstage to sing “Know Your Enemy.” This surprise helped ease the worries of Argyle’s mom, Bobbi Dunn Cantrell.

Bobbi shared her experience on Instagram, saying she was in “panic mode” during the concert because she and Argyle had gotten separated. She explained that they lost each other when she went to the bathroom and couldn’t find her way back. Argyle had been waiting by the stage since noon and didn’t leave all day.

Bobbi thanked Armstrong for making her son’s dream come true and for calming her anxiety. She exclaimed, “As soon as I saw him on stage I screamed ‘OMG THAT’S MY KID!!!!!’” She ended her message by saying, “What an amazing night! I am a new fan forever.”

Green Day still has a couple of festivals lined up this year. They will perform at Oceans Calling in Ocean City, Maryland, on Friday, and at Eddie Vedder’s Ohana Festival in Dana Point, California, on Sunday. Fans are excited to see what’s next for the band!
